My parents and I had a wonderful long weekend at this property. The 2-bedroom apartment was beautifully appointed and well-equipped with everything we needed – it truly felt like a home away from home. The terrace was a lovely touch where we could relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The location was perfect – quiet and safe, yet incredibly convenient with a short drive to all the attractions and amenities we wanted to visit. Having private parking made everything so much easier. I have to highlight how exceptionally clean this place was. It's rare to find accommodation maintained to such a high standard. The spa bath was an absolute treat after full days of activities, and those relaxing soaks were definitely a highlight of our stay. I've traveled extensively, and I can honestly say this is the best accommodation I've ever experienced. Highly recommended!

Location was great. Close to coastal path. Clean and tidy.

A luxury home away from home. Lots of little extras. A woolen blanket yeah (I can't sleep under polyester bedding), small jigsaws, even baby plates and cutlery for those who, too many to list.

Everything was exceptional.

The place was very clean and all necessary items for cooking like oil, salt & pepper etc. were there. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the spa tub. Nice and peaceful spot to explore New Plymouth from.

It was very clean, well appointed and comfortable. Great shower! Very close to everything we needed.

The sofa bed wasn't the most comfortable.

The property is within walking distance to the beach. More importantly it was just around the street from my son's home making it very convenient for visiting him and his family. I must add, that the apartment is lovely, quiet, and very well equipped. Everything exceeded my expectations.

My mom and me loved the apartment! It was spotless clean, very comfy beds, good equipped and it has a lot of natural light. The location was perfect and the car parking was a plus since it was very safe. Debbie was a great host: very kind & helpful. I’d definitely stay at Saint Aubyn Retreat again.

Beautiful apartment, well furnished and appointed in a great location less than 5 minutes walk from the coastal path. Set back from the road so very quiet. Very comfortable bed.

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. The host was super friendly and engaging. Always available through the messages when we asked for tips or late check-out. Small snacks and water was complimentary and the baths, kitchen and other rooms were fully equipped! Would stay again in the blink of an eye. Thanks again!!!

Very quiet location in a few minutes walk to the Walkway, very comfortable beds. Collection of local guides. Good selection of snacks, condiments and tea/coffee in pantry.

Our host Debbie was so incredibly hospitable and kind and so so helpful. The location is superb. The facilities are just great and the spa is beautiful. The beds were super lush and the place was so clean. Debbie was such a gracious host and helped us out when my little one wasn't feeling too well. She was so understanding and kind about it. Loved staying here and so incredibly appreciative that we got such a great place to stay in for the price and locale!

Our host Debbie was super friendly, informative and responsive. Our stay was a complete delight. Very clean, comfortable, well equipped and a great location. We couldn't recommend it more.

Ideal location: close to coastal walkway and short walk to CBD. Debbie was very warm and welcoming: she greeted us on arrival and gave us some good local tips. And the place itself was clean modern and comfortable.

My son and I had the pleasure of staying here while attending a wedding. We had a wonderful time and would love to stay again in the future. Everything was absolutely perfect.

Great location. Debbie introduced herself and gave us some information about where to find things. Lovely comfortable bed. Loved to spa bath especially after a day of travelling. Would highly recommend and would book again.

Private, great communication ahead of time via booking.com. Given detailed descriptions as to where to park, location of the lock box and eventually the code at a later planned reveal. Love the amenities. Lovely owner who is the occupier on the above level. Having MITRE 10 opposite. The relaxing extra-large spa bath, Parking a few steps away. Own private entrance.

Only one thing and that is just no actual view. Doesn't detract though as everything else makes up for it. That MITRE 10 no longer has the cafe.

The location is close to everything! We really enjoyed the stay in this warm and cosy house. The host Debbie is friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back if we travel to New Plymouth next time!

There'll be even better if there's another rubbish bin in the toilet.

Nice clean and warm home. Spa bath at the end of a long cold day outdoors was the perfect way to end the night.

Great place and very nice host

Awesome location, a few minutes walk to everything. Nice and quiet, clean rooms and the Spa bath was an added treat. Debbie was very nice and even provided some snacks. It has a small stove top plus gear even though it was listed as not having a kitchenette which was nice so we could cook for ourselves. Definitely coming back.

Only issue we had was the spa bath plug was missing the pull tab bit which led to some hilarity as the missus was too short to reach the bottom from outside the bath without half drowning. (Debbie has assured us this will be replaced immediately)

It was so clean, up to date and very very convenient. Debbie could not have been more helpful, and my mum 89 and I 60 found it so convenient to get to places on foot. We are so glad we stumbled onto this property.

Great location and hosts. Nice property and great for a family weekend away.

Modern house, super clean, and everything smells fresh from linens to bathroom and kitchen. Location is very convenient to beaches and other attractions (there's a handy list on the centre table), and stores (our favourite was shopping in Mitre 10 home store just a stone throw away!). The owner is so friendly and approachable, very responsive even after our checkout (we left an item and she's working to courier it to us). The place is perfect for family holiday, we had a great time celebrating our son's birthday. Thank you, Debbie!
