Pier View Portmagee

We had a lovely stay at Pier View Portmagee. The location was excellent - bars, restaurants and the pier right at your doorstep. The house was comfortable and spacious for 6 adults. The host was very kind, helpful and welcoming!

Krásné místo hned u přístavu, koupelna u všech pokojů, milá paní, která nám předávala ubytování.

Vše ok, jen chyběl fén.

No hot water in electric showers but owner has since said he’d leave clearer instructions on how to use.

The beds were super comfortable, there was a wonderful e view and a very helpful host.

We arrived on a cool, wet afternoon. Our host had the woodstove burning and the candles lit. This was a cozy spot close to everything, across the street from the water and island tours. The door was left unlocked for us and we didn't bother locking it during the time we were there. It didn't feel like a place where you need to lock the door. We arrived after the shops had closed. We were told we could purchase a bottle of wine from any of the restaurants that were just a few doors down.

Proximity to the marina and local restaurants and shops. Three bedrooms with a spacious kitchen area.

We didn’t like that there was no designated parking spot for the car, it’s first come first serve parking. There was an unpleasant smell in the first floor bathroom which needed to be aired out a bit. The front top story bedroom faces the street and due to its close proximity to a local bar, it can be very noisy up until the early hours of the morning. The other two bedrooms face the back of the property and they are much more quiet.

Posizione proprio sul porto, davanti alle partenze dei tour per Skelling Michael. Possibilità di parcheggio di fronte all'appartamento. Appartamento molto spazioso e ben fornito.

Dom sa nachádza v tesnej blízkosti prístavu odkiaľ odchádzajú lode na Skellig Michael (1 min). Nám to úplne vyhovovalo, keďže sme mali naplánovaný výlet na tento ostrov. Lokalita je tichá, v blízkosti sa nachádzajú obchody a aj vynikajúca reštaurácia. Miesto je veľmi pekne. K dispozícii sme mali tri spálne a tri kúpeľne (5 osôb). Celkovo je dom veľmi dobre vybavený, veľmi rýchle a bezproblémové wi-fi pripojenie. S ubytovaním sme boli spokojní. Izby sú malé pre 2 osoby, ale to nám neprekážalo. Bol v nich dostatočný úložný priestor. Celkovo je dom útulný aj keď starší. Komunikácia s majiteľom bola výborná, reagoval takmer ihneď. Ubytovanie splnilo očakávanie

V izbe na prízemí sa kamaráti trochu sťažovali na mierny zápach, predpokladám, že z odtoku v kúpeľni. Možno preto, že sme boli ubytovaní v prístave a celkovo vlhkosť prostredia bola vysoká. V izbách na poschodí bolo všetko v poriadku.

quiet location right on the water

The house was unbelievably conveniently located for the skelligs tour, couldnt be closer if we tried. Right next to the pubs and shop too. The house was beautiful, homely and soo comfy and really clean also. Very nice touches of milk and bread and shower products, very much appreciated. 10/10 great value for money

Came to do a Skelligs Landing Tour and stayed one night, accomodation was perfect - location couldn't be beat and the home was well kept, clean and very comfortable. The lit turf fire on our arrival was a really special touch that we really appreciated and enjoyed.

The property was so charming, it felt very homely, even the fire had been lit in time for our arrival. It was the perfect size for our group and the location is excellent, 2 doors down from the pub who served delicious food and drinks and in a stunning area.

The property has an excellent location right across from the pier. There is a grocery store right down the street as well as a couple of restaurants practically right out the front door. This is a wonderful little town and works well for a stopover on the Ring of Kerry or to visit Skellig Michael Island. It had everything we needed for our short stay.

The showers had mildew stains. Probably time to caulk again.

Friendly welcome. The location was perfect with gorgeous views of the harbour and close to everything in this pretty village. The hosts had left us pastries and scones, bread and milk and other basics which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable a very cute house. I was travelling with a friend and our children who loved it. We only stayed one night to break up our Ring of Kerry trip but we all wished we could have stayed longer.

Very damp, very dusty. The furniture has seen better days. Most uncomfortable. I checked into Pierview in Portmagee, Co Kerry on July 19th but was unable to stay in the property as I have a dust mite allergy and the damp and dust in the property caused me to have an asthma attack. Once I messaged the owner to explain the situation, it took several days for a response. Once the complaints procedure began, after a week of messaging, the only refund offered was a free night’s stay in low season in the property, which obviously is unacceptable because I cannot tolerate the environment which triggers my asthma. I often rate properties and customers will notice I am very fair and usually rate properties 9, or 10 in other reviews but Pier View is a health hazard. I am a very loyal and active customer on this website but am shocked at how little was done to understand the severe nature of my concern.

Feels like a home away from home, my father particularly likes the fireplace that was already burning welcoming us. The location is very close to the pier for the Skellig Michael boat. No noise from the nearby restaurant at night at all. Very well equipped kitchen. Will choose this place again if I re-visit Portmagee

Perfect location, directly across from the marina! Plenty of room, had everything we needed. So peaceful and the hosts went above and beyond to provide the best service, truly. Lovely welcome with delicious cookies and loaf bread. My only regret is that we didn’t stay for longer.

Perfect place for visiting Skellig michael House was so clean we met the owner briefly she was so nice. There's lots of cooking staples in the cupboards amd milk in the fridge my daughter was delighted with the chocolate bars. There was even a lovely loaf of brown bread left for us. The photos are the view from upstairs bedroom.

When I first booked I thought it was a little dear but the house is in a perfect location right on the pier and was so clean so now I think the price was worth it

The owner was exceptional. He was quick to respond and very accommodating. We stayed here with a family of five including college aged children and an 80+ grandparent with mobility issues. Everyone in our group raved about the townhouse. It is very quiet, well equipped, and directly across from the pier. We could not have been more pleased.

We loved everything.

Very friendly owner. House very clean. Localisation and the view through windows is the biggest advantage.
