Reviewed Dec 5, 2025Loved the location and the beautiful garden. The host was very friendly and the amenities were good. The decor was very nice and overall we loved the style, layout, and ambiance of the property.
Small things ... The one plug in our room was not working (looked melted). And a few of the finishes could do with some work, like the shower showed water damage, and a few touch ups would improve things. Having said the above it would by no means prevent us staying here again, we really enjoyed it and loved the place very much!

Lots of different lounge/relaxing areas inside and out, kitchen well stocked, great BBQ area, beds & bedding were so comfortable, stove / oven / fridge-freezer / microwave etc all modern and worked well, entire property was clean & charming.
Our elderly guests (aged 79 & 84) struggled a little without a downstairs toilet & without a handrail on the stairs, but these were very minor inconveniences.

Reviewed Oct 7, 2024We couldn't have asked for a better host , not only were we spoiled and showered with gifts, we were welcomed so much by Engela , from toys for the kids to exquisite teas and coffees , the guest house exceeded our expectations , not only neat but has impeccable interior design and the kitchen over provided for our dinners and baking. From her personal library she shared to her husband's amazing paintings scattered around the house , and she was always available if we ever needed anything and has great recommendations for beach walks and attractions . She made my birthday weekend better than I could imagine. Thank you Mr & Mrs De Jager for having us.
I honestly have no complaints .
