Aurora Forest Cabin

Ihana kompakti pieni mökki missä kaikki tarvittava. Saunasta hyvät löylyt ja hienot näkymät. Nuotiopaikka kruunasi iltamme.

Stayed 2 nights at the Aurora Forest Cabin in Rovaniemi and had a wonderful experience! The host was incredibly kind and approachable—even helped drop us off to buy things we needed before heading to the cabin. They can also arrange drop-offs and pick-ups for other places with an additional charge, which was very convenient. The place itself was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a sauna. We even mentioned missing out on marshmallows, and they kindly provided some for our s’mores—such a thoughtful touch! And to top it all off, we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights right from the cabin. Truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend!

We had a fantastic stay here whilst we did not have the luck of visibility on our side to see the northern lights through the clouds we still had an experience that money can’t buy. The location is so peaceful, surrounded by woodland and snow. We were lucky to see two deers walk by on the snow. The cabin is cosy but spacious it has everything you would need. We made full use of the cooking facilities, the sauna and the log fire. The hosts, Henri & Ellinoora are the best hosts we’ve ever had - it’s the little touches that make the biggest difference (beers, thoughtfulness, regular toilet cleans) they are so welcoming and accommodating even supporting with transport as we did not have a car - to/from the airport for a very reasonable fee considering it’s their time as well as the transport! We will 100% be back again even if we didn’t get lucky again for the northern lights this stay is an experience of pure peace being able to sit in nature with your thoughts is very special. Thank you :)

Nice and quiet. The view is splendid.

The day was cloudy. It was not lucky to see northern lights.

Location, Coziness, Private sauna and private fire pit

The door was very sticky

Location, cozy cabin, window to view northern lights

Semplicemente tutto!!!

The location was good and the sauna was amazing. It was also very convenient for flying out the next day, in particular because we already had a car. The hosts were responsive, kind and easy to reach.

It was the most expensive place we stayed in the whole of Lapland and also the least well-equipped. There was no view to speak of - though I get that the aurora is hit-or-miss - but between that and the fact that the kitchen was essentially just a hot plate, a single pan and paper plates, and the fact that the other cabin was about 2 feet away (so very little privacy to speak of), it was a bit of a let-down compared to the pictures and reviews.

The cabin was very cosy and perfectly equipped with everything one might need. Comfortable bed, clean and tidy. We enjoyed the chimney and sauna, but also the wonderful views on the lake.

The cabin is small but we knew that and found it very cosy. If you have 2 suitcases than those can stand and have them open 1 at the time to fit the space.

Our stay at the cabin was wonderful. Henri and Ellinoora are the kindest and most attentive hosts. The cabin itself is beautifully located, and it felt like a small winter wonderland. We managed to see the Aurora on both nights of our stay there. The sauna at the cabin was a great treat after staying outside at night for the Aurora. We definitely recommend the cabin.

everything was great

We managed to see the northern lights!! Fantastic place to do so.

Velmi útulný (a velmi malý) apartmán - tiny house.

Eigentlich gar nichts negatives.

So comfortable, lovely furnishings and touches to make everything awesome. Really clear instructions on everything from the sauna use to fire and getting there. Would have been incredible without seeing the northern lights. Just happened to make it even more special that I did on both nights.

Nothing! Perfect

Ho recomanem 100%.

very warm, comfy, nice little getaway

the generator is right next to the bed so you can hear it sometimes but not a major issue

Super Lage, tolle holzbefeuerte Sauna

This cabin was honestly amazing. It’s right in the middle of the Finnish forest, looking out over a frozen lake, and it’s so quiet and peaceful. Inside was perfect for the cold, it had a double bed, plenty of heating, and the sauna was ideal after being outside in the freezing temperatures. Henri and Ellinoora were genuinely brilliant hosts. They picked us up and dropped us off anywhere we needed for a small fee, which saved us loads on taxis. They helped us set up the fire and even gave us marshmallows, beers and sledges to use. They were just really lovely people. Best cabin I’ve ever stayed in, best place I’ve ever visited, and I’ll definitely be back.

Perfect place in the nature. Nice cabin and sauna and very kind owner. We really enjoyed our stay.

A cabana é espetacular !

The owners of the cabin were so accommodating. A very simple way of living but it was so cosy! In the beautiful snowy forest. It was like being surrounded by a winter wonderland. The sauna was amazing and the fire place was also so lovely. Perfect for the cold weather we experienced. The cabin was very warm for 2 days once heated. We saw the most amazing northern lights over the lake. It’s a small super comfy cabin. Only half hour away from the city. I would book again.

No running water but it’s okay. Once you get used to it it’s not so bad.

Espectacular !!!

Cozy little trailer with the needed amenities. It was nice to make a fire and barbecue some sausages while watching the northern lights in the yard. Sauna topped of the night.

Some more space would have been could if staying longer
