New Toropi Homestay

Was traveling through the area on my bicycle and stayed two nights to rest up from climbing the mountain. Beautiful area and wonderful homestay nestled in the jungle. Hosts were great, he speaks good English and she cooks amazing meals, vegetarian on request. Definitely recommend doing the temple loop! Lankathilaka Temple was my favorite. Having my meals on the patio was also a highlight. Great stay and great value!

I had an absolutely amazing stay! They became my Sri Lankan family: absolutely wonderful host always available and willing to share advice and reccomendations, his wife makes delicious dishes and the baby, the baby is simply lovely. The environment is a peace of heaven on heart, in the middle of the nature. I already miss them so much and I hope to come back soon!

Toropi Homestay is located in a beautiful peaceful rural location, surrounded by trees and with a view of rice paddy. The homestay was clean and comfortable, with good breakfast and dinner. The host was friendly and helpful and even took us on a tour of the local tea factory and historic temples.

De gastvrijheid van de gastheer, mooie setting met het terras en de tuin vol speciale kruiden. Hij nam ons mee op een gratis tour om een thee plantage en 2 tempels te bezoeken. We hadden maar 1 namiddag maar hebben dankzij hem er echt alles kunnen uithalen. Ze bieden ook avondeten aan en dit was echt hemels goed! Als je aan de drukte van Kandy wilt ontsnappen is dit echt een aanrader!

Our stay at Toropi Homestay was truly delightful. The property is surrounded by rice fields and jungle, far from the traffic and chaos of Kandy. If you have your own means of transport, it is the perfect choice for a peaceful and quiet stay immersed in nature. The owner is extremely friendly and kind, always ready to give advice about the area, what to see, where to eat, and where to buy quality souvenirs. Both breakfast and dinner were very generous and absolutely delicious. Our room opened onto a small balcony where we could sit and listen to the sounds of nature. This was the place where we received the greatest care and attention from a host during our entire trip. I highly recommend it.

I had a wonderful time at this homestay. The host and his family are incredibly kind and very caring! The room is large and clean with a big, comfortable bed. The host's wife cooks breakfast and, if you want, also dinner. The food is delicious and I highly recommend it. The house is in a lovely, quiet location, surrounded by a garden and rice paddies. There's a shared balcony that guests can use, offering a beautiful view of the greenery and a great spot for birdwatching. The host provides advice on local attractions and offers free transportation to and from these places. Incredible service! I highly recommend this homestay!

Little too much umidity in the room

Staying at this hotel was one of the best decisions I made during my trip to Kandy! The owner and his family were incredibly friendly, warm, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Their hospitality truly made me feel like part of the family. The hotel itself was spotless and very well-maintained. It offers excellent service at a very affordable price – absolutely the best value for money in the area. I was also able to rent a bike, car, and even a three-wheeler at very cheap rates, which made getting around Kandy so convenient. The location is perfect too – peaceful, surrounded by nature, with the most stunning view and a calm, cool climate throughout the day. It’s an ideal spot for anyone looking to relax and enjoy some quiet time. And I must mention the breakfast . it was incredible! Honestly, one of the best meals I had in Kandy. Fresh, delicious, and full of authentic flavors. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kandy .I’ll definitely be coming back!

It was the best homestay / hostel on our trip. Everything was available. Kitchen, terasse, dining area, big rooms, very good and affordable food. Hosts were amazingly friendly and helpful. Would always come back and stay much longer next time!

Above and beyond expectations and previous reviews were great. Beautiful environment, and a balcony better than any other we've found, superbly clean.owner and his wife are wonderful hosts, home cooked food was the best we've tasted in Sri Lanka. A dream place, we are already planning our return trip. We've stayed in many places in Sri Lanka, this is the best and incredible value.

Great location, you’re surrounded by nature and the garden is beautiful. Rooms are spacious and very clean, with hot showers! The family are so friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious (the best jackfruit I’ve ever tasted!). I had lots of bites from my previous location and they treated them for me with a plant from the garden! Highly recommend!

It was really pleasant to live in Nishad's place. It is a clean and hospitable guest house located not far from Kandy. Pick it for rural tranquility, it's a great stop if you want to discover Kandy city and area around it. There is a room with AC, fibre optics internet for additional moderate price if you need it. Home owner and his family are very modest and kind people.

Nice and clean apartment with big and comfort bed.air conditioner ,newly renovated bathroom hot water and fully equipped kitchen .the staff was very friendly and very helpful. There is nothing to dislike about it this place
