The best Farm Guesthouse i ever visited. Offgrid & marvelously convenient. Meticulously & tastefully designed. Every piece of detailed decor perfectly placed. Great location far out of the city... the most beautiful sounds of wildlife while you sleep. Even a second story balcony veranda / lookout... perfection just got a new definition! This establishment, managed by the wonderful & caring Vorster-family can be highly suggested.

Everything that was promised the place delivered on, quiet, relaxing, facilities were as described. Hosts were hospitable, informative but not intrusive. On a chilly winter evening, units were warm. & fantasic quick break away from the rush of JHB

The only thing that distracted from a great breakaway evening was the noisy neighbour and that has nothing to do with the hosts or the facility. Just an unlucky event, but loud people sure do compromise the quiet tranquility.

Motubane Guest House offers a truly wonderful off-the-grid experience. The hosts are warm, welcoming, and clearly take pride in creating a special stay for their guests. The accommodation units are lovely, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with great attention to detail. Surrounded by wide open veld with beautiful views, it is the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature. Listening to the distant cries of jackals at night adds to the unique charm of the experience. A peaceful, memorable stay and one I would gladly recommend!

What an incredible and restful stay. Gert & Drienie are amazing hosts. They really know how to welcome their guests and give them their privacy. This was our second time visiting and we already, can't wait to come back. The day-bed on the rooftop is also amazing for a nap😅 and the walk in the morning was perfect❤❤❤❤

Wir hatten eine unvergessliche Zeit mit Drienie und Gert. Zwei Menschen die uns herzlich empfangen haben und mit unfassbar viel Liebe und Detail Arbeit die Farm zu einem kleinen Paradies gemacht haben. Fur extreme Sicherheit ist durch ein Zaun gesorgt, so dass man sich sehr sicher fühlt. Die Farm hat unvergleichliche Sonnenuntergänge und weite zu biete, die man auch auf oberen Terrasse bestaunen kann. Die Container sind stylisch, modern aber mit dem gewissen etwas. Drienie zaubert Blüten in die Zimmer als Willkommens Gruß und man findet viele kleine Details. Es gibt einen kleinen sit-in Pool (zur Erfrischung) und eine selbstgebaute Boma für einen Grill Abend. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben und hoffen wir sehen Gert und Drienie irgendwann wieder, weil es echte Herzensmenschen sind und viel zu erzählen haben. Ein Dreamteam welches hier im cradle of Human Kind einen Wohlfühlort erschaffen haben. Es gibt kaum internetverbindung und man sollte verstehen, dass man abgeschieden ist; wer das will, sollte kommen :) - Tipp: Man kann eine Ballon Fahrt Safari in der Nähe machen und das verbinden mit der Unterkunft. Das war ein zusätzliches Highlight

Die Gastgeber wohnen vor Ort und sind super herzlich und gastfreundlich. Die Farm ist zudem sehr sicher.

Ambience... tranquil Everything you need. I cooked up a storm in both the kitchen and the barbecue in the courtyard! Calming water feature and fruit trees in courtyard create an Oasis in this part of the Namib desert!

Loved the place with a wonderful view.

We went away but also had to work .... no internet and 5G could not connect but managed with great difficulty The roads to the destination was a bit of a problem specially with all the rain we have had. Would have never been able to reach the destination with a Mercedes or low car.

The place was great. Very quite and enjoyable. The host was awesome!

Maybe the splash pool could be able to be heated in cloudy weather

Lovely little gem hidden from people

Great place, with beautiful units that give a cosy, bush feeling. Its very quiet and peaceful, with great views all round. Hosts were awesome and very friendly.

Pool was a bit cold, but would be perfect on a hot summera day. Everything else was great. Only had cellphone signal on the upper deck, but this was actually great not having to check your phone every 5 minutes.

Awesome experience, the owners were very welcoming and assisted us when we needed assistance, great get away for friends or a couple.

The dirt road leading to the farm was quite a rough ride, but we used a car, sure there would be no problem with a SUV

Motubane was everything and more for a perfect getaway! Nestled in a peaceful place, the cottages were so lovely, comfortable and sweet. Every detail was attended to! As a bonus, Gert and Drienie were lovely: friendly, helpful and welcoming!

Our only challenge was the inconsistency of the hot water.

It is a self catering farmstay. The location is easier to find. Gert and Driene are so welcoming and loving, they go beyond their way to make sure you enjoy their beautiful property. Who ever put together the design of the house is a perfectionist because every piece compliment each other. Don't make a mistake of booking one night but if you do! Have the decency of arriving check in time. There is a variety of animals you will see. If you are a bird lover please pack your binoculars, you will thank me later. I yen to be a poet, i would describe this place with grace. After visiting Motubane, i believe some places God lives there in silence.

The fact that we didn't have enough time to enjoy this beautiful place.The pictures on the website don't do justice to this place. If you have one of those low luxuries cars, be aware, there is a gravel road for 5km to reach the farm stand. It will definitely not be a pleasant drive.

Motubane Guest Farm has everything one could possibly need. Great location if you want to get away from the city and don’t want to travel too far. Extremely peaceful with beautiful views, open plan living room/kitchenette and bedroom with extremely comfortable bed. Gert & Drienie were very friendly and welcoming and the service was excellent. The rooms are beautifully decorated, extremely clean and neat. Although it was too cold outside to use the splash pool, it surely looked inviting. We could relax and enjoy the view and the stars in the evening from the deck. Pity we only stayed there for one night.

There was nothing we didn't like about the accommodation.

It was the perfect breakaway imaginable. We loved it. The hosts were super friendly and professional. Drienie blended the decor between eclectic, vintage and modern whilst keeping comfort spectacularly. Everything you can think of was catered for. It is just amazing what she and Gert did with a mere container set-up. We will definitely return in the summer to take advantage of the splash pool at the room. And we will stay a weekend instead of just one night. There is so much to do and see in the area. It is almost not possible to think that the city is just behind the mountain.

Please add more two-point plugs to the outlets. We had to unplug the bedside lamps to charge our phones. And at plug at the vanity. As a suggestion, please add to the welcome message that the gate is on manual and we can enter and report to the office for check-in. Perhaps also mention that hiking on the neighbour's farm is possible with arrangement?

The bedroom, the bathtub, and the small kitchenette stunningly beautiful. Not to forget the update deck where the view is breathtaking (the sunrise and the sunset) not forgetting the private outdoor swimming pool.

The property has everything one would need for a staycation. The place is beautiful, secluded and very peaceful, so much thought was put into the decor of the house. The views are out of this world.

The owners welcomed us gave us at our of the place before we settled in and when we were departing also saw us off... Truly friendly and respectable hosts who has the travelers best interests at heart. The attention to detail and convenience of our stay was phenomenal. 7 Stars for natural beauty, decor and presentation. Everything to make your stay pleasant was thought of when this establishment was built. Bedding was of the highest quality, crisp, clean and ice white, delicious and delightful. Flowers and small plants from their own garden was strategically placed in our villa, truly exceptional thoughtfulness. The views are breathtaking and to be able to see and hear wild animals was truly amazing. The hosts even loaned us a pair of binoculars for better viewing, which I thought was so thoughtful. Truly a must experience venue. Bonus : Venue has a wonderful shopnon the premises that sells a little bit of everything for every taste a palate. We are definitely going back there again...

The extreme attention to detail and cleanliness. Everything is in perfect condition. The views are spectacular. The lovely private pool at the unit is so welcoming with the hot weather. The pool is immaculately clean. The Hosts Drienie and Gert welcomed us at the gate when we arrived and presented us with ice cold juice and cool face cloths to refresh. Drienie has a stunning quaint little boutique shop on the premises where she sells very affordable gifts, jewellery, bags and much more. Sunsets and Sunrises are absolutely beautiful. We will always stay at Motubane whenever we need to book accomodation in Gauteng if we pass through. I rate this my favourite accomodation so far.

There is a 5km gravel drive from the main road to the farm. People with low ground clearance or sports cars might not enjoy this.
