Aurora Luxe Retreat

The location, the size of apartment, the luxurious feel, and excellent communication with the property managers. They were very helpful in letting us extend our check-out time and store luggage until departure.

Great location and the walk into town was short and attractive. Great facilities, including modern induction hob, oven and a toaster. Lots of cutlery, plates, glass and mugs and a large dishwasher to clean them all. Lovely shower with with lots of hot water. It was nice to get two pillows on the beds and a reasonable level of bedroom blackout once you covered up the light on light switches (which I assume are there to show you where the switch is in the dark, but can't be switched off and in one case shines directly onto the bed!).

It was far too hot in the apartment. It does not have the advertised air conditioning, and it was hard to cool in the June heatwave. We failed to get the washing machine to wash or spin. The owner was keen to take a look the following day, but as the clothes were wet we manually washed and rinsed instead. The apartment was lovely and clean, but the decking could have done with a sweep to clear leaves.

The apartment is of great quality, superb design, and very nicely located with a view across the city of Tromso. It is clear that its owners spent a lot of effort (and money) in optimizing its details. It is easy to reach by car and provides a reserved parking space.

The property is beautiful with a gorgeous view. We enjoyed the morning sunrise over the mountains just outside the living room window every morning. The hosts provided every modern connivence you could need during your stay. Full working kitchen with everything you need to prepare your meals. Large bathroom with a great shower. Covered parking space. Washing machine available. There isn’t a dryer but it wasn’t needed as everything dried so quickly due to the drier air and heated floors. Great location with just a 2 minute drive to the nearest grocery store and a 4 minute drive to downtown Tromsø. Located in a quiet neighborhood. Streets were plowed promptly. The hosts were available for any questions. We highly recommend this property to anyone staying with a larger group (we were a group of six, 4 adults and 2 kids).

Nothing, everything was exceptional.

This is a great property and we would not hesitate to stay again. The space is new, modern and clean. Everything is very comfortable and the owner is responsive to any additional needs or questions. The location is perfect - easy walk down into the city centre but outside of the light pollution well enough to be able to see the northern lights, or walk to the nearby lake to see them.

Beautiful property with great design—warm, inviting, and perfect for a getaway.

The beds weren’t ready and we found open food packages from previous guests in the kitchen cabinets. With a little more attention to detail, this could truly be a dream place to stay.

Easy self check-in. Generally clean and well-equipped space. Fast customer response.

Had to climb stairs in the snow to get up to our floor. There were obvious dirty spots on the towels

It has everything you need, also from the big window in the dinning room you have pretty views of the city. I saw the northern lights from my bedroom window.

Grips on the staircase would help people from slipping and falling. No thermostat. Unable to control the inside temperature, it felt too toasty at night.
