Provider-sourced guest reviews.
The staff was wonderful and highly accommodating. The location was very nice and had private beach access- even though we were too busy to utilize it! The room was very nice- nothing Four Seasons, but I liked the coziness of it!
The shower head was a little low, but it was a removable shower head so taller people could utilize that feature.
The kindness of the manager, the beach
Our kitchen sink was non-functional
The beach was really nice to have access to, fire pits, picnic tables, chairs, super close to downtown Mackinaw, the ferry company has a shuttle to pick you up so you don't have to pay parking fees. Room seemed mostly clean.
Bed was a little uncomfortable, the room was absolutely over priced, very basic room, very tiny shower and tiny bathroom, outdated furnishings, TV was weird and no cable, essentially paying extra for beach front
Didn’t get breakfast
The fact that it imply on the beach Room not nice shower dark and moldy smelling No microwave No heat
A clean place to stay. Remodeled facility. Host is very knowledgeable and helpful. Beach access, fire pit available on beach.
The A/C vents need dust cleaned out. Bathroom is a little small. Pricing is a little high.
Location and room ambience was great. Was clean and comfortable. Front desk man was very helpful.
Not really sure. It fit exactly our needs.
Clean Beautiful Beach. My 1 year old loved it.
Parking is a little difficult with a truck. Not much space for bigger vehicles
It was super cozy and the staff were amazing!
The small shower, still wasn’t bad.
What’s not to like , it was wonderful. Short walk to the beach.
The coffee ☕️
The view of the beach was fantastic. They had fireworks one night and we had a perfect view from the deck. It is just a very short walk to the beach. The place was clean and spacious. The pool was also a plus as it is indoor and heated.
The bathroom is in a large back room with an open area. It would be helpful if there was a curtain separating the bathroom.
Great experience overall! The manager was very nice and helpful, the cabin itself was very clean and cozy, and the location is amazing!
The water in the shower didn't remain warm the entire time.
We liked the location
The bed wasn’t comfortable, it wasn’t very clean, the shower was dark and dingy and had no where to set any toiletries, definitely way overpriced
Originally had a smaller cottage booked but the front desk gentleman upgraded us for a beach side cottage and it was absolutely stunning! Super professional and kind. Cottages were very comfortable and well maintained, beautiful place for a family to stay. It was just two of us but perfect for a large group as well. Free shuttle to the ferry as well. Over all the place gets a 10 for view and convenient shuttle and location. Plan to stay here again next time I come into mackinaw city.
The cabins were cute
The location was fantastic and Martin, the property manager, was very attentive. The property was clean and had everything we needed for a week of fun.
Upon arriving to our cottage I felt it was very very clean, thanks to Doneita! The manager, Martin, was very informative about all the things available to us. The accommodations were superb! The beach, cottage and property were clean and well maintained.
Nothing could have been better.
Quiet and great location.
Small bathroom
Front of the beach, nice view
Cottage was TOO small!
The cottages are clean and the setting is beautiful!
Close to beach and all attractions. Will definitely stay there next time we are in Mackinaw City.
We have no complaints at all.
Staff, Location, and Cleanliness
Everything was great!
The manager was very helpful and friendly. He would help call for the free ferry shuttle bus. He immediately took care of a leaky shower.
Very small room, and the noisy air conditioner and refrigerator that had to be turned off to sleep. However, a community icemaker outside the cabin was loud and it ran all night. It would be helpful if the room had a microwave oven.
Personalized treatment. I was asked several times during my stay if everything was ok and if I needed anything. Grounds were very clean and well maintained. The flowers were beautiful. Great location!
NA
We did get an upgrade to a larger cabin for a small fee.
No grab bars in shower.
Just in front of the beach with a great view!
Bathroom was too small
We stayed in a 2 queen bed cottage and it was just my husband and I, so we had plenty of room.
Coffee in room was not very good and the shower needs some work
we didn’t get breakfast with our cottage
we would have liked a kitchen so we didn’t have to eat out
The rooms were cute and very comfortable and cozy, the beach was clean and gorgeous, and it was in a fantastic location that gave a view of the island and the bridge. The main town was a 1 minute drive or short walk away. Shelly did a fantastic job cleaning our room and made it extremely comfortable to stay in.
The bathroom and shower was quite small, making it hard for a tall person like myself. The wifi would cut out somewhat frequently and it never connected to the tv well enough to watch streaming on it.
The property was easy to find, close to the water, and felt like home.
Our shower was very small and didn’t drain well, but we made it work!
It was clean
The cabin was SO tiny. Not what I paid for. It was like a garden shed turned cabin. Definitely some DIY stuff. If you are a bigger person I do NOT recommend letting them put you in cabin 9. I definitely got charged more than I should have been.
Newly remodeled
The circuit was tripped for 1/2 the cottage - figured it out after a while so it wasn’t a big problem.
Location was nice to be right on the water. The surrounds were quiet, but parking was cramped.
First impression of the site: I wasn't sure if it was operating as the front flowers and weeds were so overgrown. The person checking us in said the heat in our room would only go to 70. Probably because the area where the water lines came in you could see the ground. Found blood stains on a pillow...yuck. Be cautious, the outside pictures of the units are the newer cabins, which they only have three of them. We were offered an upgrade for an additional $100/night, but declined.
The location was great. The cabin was clean & quaint The service was great & friendly
Just the fish flies were bad
The room was very nice.
It was right next to the road, but it worked out fine.
Close to everything, shuttle so we saved money on parking, clean, our own little beach, quiet too. Loved it!
Nothing
The location. The room. The beach. The cottage had a microwave, fridge. The A/C worked really well. The temperature in the shower was excellent. The bed was comfortable. There was sufficient pillows, shampoo, soap, cups and towels!!!! Mr. Martin was wonderful! He upgraded us to a bigger, fabulous room.
Honestly, everything was perfect. I would advise future guests that there is no Uber or taxis in Mackinaw City! Reserve a shuttle ride from Pellonston Airport ahead of time! The hubby and I walked from the cottage into town. It's about a 2-3 mile walk. Again, there is no Uber or Taxis! There are several restaurants within the walking distance. "Joanne's" make the most delicious doughnuts!
Great beach view, very clean and comfortable.
My only complaint is the screen door for the cabin we stayed in slams too loud and fast. It broke the skin on my ankle multiple times throughout my stay and the slam is very abrupt and loud.
Everything was great. Perfect location close to everything. Wonderful beach right out the front of. Comfortable and clean. Loop

location
Room was to small, no charging port, beds are not comfortable, sofa is very dirty
The receptionist is great! The kindest person you can meet. He stayed late to hand us the keys and didn't say a word about it. In fact he was super nice even when he needn't be
Beautiful view, quaint cottage with sand Beach
The cabin was clean, great beds and nice to be close to the water.
I loved how everyone was so friendly, a dream had stories to share about places for us to visit.
I have nothing to complain about.
Location was great right off the Lake. Comfortable and very clean. We were vacationing with friends and facilite offered us a joint cabin which was awesome
There was construction and it was very loud in the morning.
We stayed in one of the new cottages and it was perfect. My priority is cleanliness and this cabin was clean. The location on the beach exceeded my expectations. I recommend this to other families!
Everything was absolutely fantastic!! Very clean and nice cabins!
Nothing everything was perfect
Very clean property and the beach was great. Staff was very friendly. Cabin was cozy and close to everything.
Really not even worth mentioning but the bathroom sink was literally the size of a shoebox, my wife couldn't even wash her face before bed.
Very clean. Beautiful beach. Good service.very
Beautiful cabin spacious well accommodating our needs. Peaceful and pleasant with beautiful views of Mackinaw Bridge Mackinaw Island right on the beach and lake. Very close to Mackinaw city. Relaxing and enjoyable weekend with Truck show and parade Saturday. Will recommend to friends. Manager was pleasant and made sure our weekend was nice and we had everything we needed. Thank you so much .
There was not anything or a situation we did not like.
Property had a lot of potential
Our experience here wasn’t what we had hoped for our 1st anniversary trip. Check in on the website says 4-9 and we recieved a call from Martin at 6:30 asking where we were as he was eager to close up since he’s been working 16 hour days since April. We were on the Island and felt as if we had to rush to get there. I had explained that the check out time on the website says it’s until 9 pm to which he stated the website wasn’t updated with the season hours. I called him back explaining we felt rushed and it didn’t seem fair for us to feel like we had to cut our vacation short, I asked if we went and found a room somewhere else if we would’ve been refunded so he could close up. He said no and then explained to take our time and he would wait and we were the last ones he was waiting on. We got there and he was nice and gave us some casino credits then went on to explain we weren’t getting the room we booked and paid for, he moved us to a different room which was tucked away in the “woods” which was a cabin with no lights or visible from the road because it was tucked in between 3 other cabins. Definitely not the cabin we thought we were booking by the water/beach. We had to walk a dark pathway to get there using our phone flashlights so we didn’t fall since there were no lights and the porch light was out on our cabin. I think our room was sold to someone else and he gave us this room instead. The whole situation felt off to us and didn't feel safe. Needless to say we were very disappointed and ended up not staying here for the night. We went somewhere else that could better accommodate us.
Cozy RUSTIC, individual cabin directly ON THE BEACH. We had a small porch with chairs to sit and look at the view of the Mackinaw Bridge, and Mackinaw Island. The beach was lovely and only a stone's throw to the water. There was the ability to bring your own wood for a bonfire on the beach. The room was very comfortable and very clean. Loved having a couch and small kitchen cubby with fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Mathew was friendly, helpful and sweet when checking in. A TOTAL DELIGHT. Loved the rustic, log cabin feel--warm and cozy. Make sure to ask where the porch light switch is located.
We couldn't find the switch for the porch light so had to unload in the dark. It was a challenge since we had to walk on the sand to get to our front door. Later Matthew told us where the light switch was. We would never have guessed. Next time, we'll unpack the car in the light of day.
The manager is spectacular here. He was very accommodating towards us and the other guests. The rest of the hotels could do well to learn from him.
The price gouging from the family that owns the hotels in Mackinaw City.
Clean and friendly staff
TV wasn’t working and it was very small (which we had been told).
Very nice
We stayed in two spaces — the large upper-level room with three queen beds above the office building, and a cozy lakefront cottage. The large room was unique (as described) and worked out wonderfully for our family — grandparents, adult children, and grandbabies. It offered plenty of space for gathering when we weren’t out exploring town. Be aware there are quite a few stairs to reach it. The windows were tricky to operate and could use a good cleaning, but with some effort we were able to get them open and closed when needed. The lakefront cottage had two queen beds and served well as a comfortable place to sleep, with beautiful views of the water — though the window webs and smudges did distract a bit from the scenery. The exterior appears more recently updated than the interior, but overall it was a pleasant stay. The location was excellent — close enough to walk to the east end of town and enjoy all it has to offer.
There was no kitchenette area in this room which would have been fitting.
The cottage was comfortable and clean.
NA
It was a great kitchen. You could cook a small meal. The porch was fantastic with a view. Sunrises were wonderful.
The heater was not adequate for the weather!
Everything was perfect, the cottages were clean, organized and well kept. The staff was so helpful and friendly and the rates were affordable! Our new favorite stay in Mackinac!
Perfect location and the cottage was so clean
On the beach sand
The beautiful view, love that we can sit on the beach with a fire. The cottage was cute, but dirty upon arrival. A set of blinds were missing some of the blinds. The wall in the cottage was so dirty, I had to wipe it. The coffee pot was filthy, had to clean it, and the bathroom floor was coming up, and you can see outside through a gap under the bathroom window, and upon arrivalthere was a water bottle crunched up in the cotage, and itcwasnt ours. . We were originally supposed to go in cottage 10, but the guy called and changed cottages. Overall, it was a quaint little place.
The idea that we were moved by the road, and you can hear everything. The fact that we were put in a dirty cottage.
The place was too primative for us. Especially when we saw thar all hotels in area were really nice, cheaper, and had vacancies. The pictures were much nicer, than actual property. Was disappointed and couldn't get any reimbursement. We left a day early and ate the cost.
Clean rooms, personable service from the manager by showing each cabin. Right on the beach
Charming beachfront little cabin. Perfect for a fall getaway with kids. Kitchen was clean and very well stocked. Front porch was very cozy with comfortable rocking chairs to watch the ferries and my kids playing in the lake or on the sand. Beds were comfortable and bunk beds perfect for kids. Property manager explained the heating/cooling unit well so we kept it at a comfortable temp for warm days and cool nights. The bunk bed linens were a little discolored when we arrived but the manager immediately replaced with brand new linens when pointed out. There were an over abundance of towels to use which was quite helpful. Definitely would come back!
Very helpful staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
How close the lake is
No plugs by the beds
Was not a good time we had 2 nights there we left 4 hr in
Very nice
