I used this guesthouse to renew my visa in Battaramula. Took bus from road from guesthouse to Immigration. Good location next to restaurants and supermarkets

Excellent location. Neat and clean rooms. Cheerful helpful staff.

There was a foul smell coming from the drain in the bathroom occasionally. I guess that's a temporary issue. The manager said he'd take care of it

The house is lovely and feels very homely. The owner is very friendly and kind, he let me leave my bag at the accommodation after I had checked out, so that I could explore the city before moving on. The bed was comfortable and aircon works well.

Very nice place wih a very hospitable staff. Friendly and helpfull. The guesthouse is in a stylish home in a quit place in Colombo.

The location was perfect for us as we needed to go to the department of immigration for a visa extension. The host was super kind and helpful, also the house is absolutely stunning. Beds were comfortable and there was a hot shower in the bathroom. WiFi was ok, but worked better in the shared areas. Shared areas were also really clean and beautiful, with a nice fridge and kettle available to guests. Upon request the host let us use the gas stove as well, but this is located in a separate kitchen. The place was super clean and quiet.

The ceiling fan was not working but there was AC and the host immediately provided us with another fan. We thought the kitchen was fully available to us but it is not exactly like that, although we were allowed to use the gas. The room was located on the ground floor, thus was very humid.

Extremely homely environment. Suitable for family and children. Very calm and easily accessible to nearby supermarkets. Staff was excellent and very supportive, Both Mr Rajiv and Mr Kumara were very kind supportive in numerous ways. We enjoyed the stay very much

Dům je velice pěkný. Majitel domu je velmi vstřícný a se vším nám poradil.

Schönes Haus und gepflegt. Die Lage ist ruhig aber nicht im Zentrum von daher weniger optimal wenn man zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten möchte. Der Host ist sehr sehr lieb und bemüht den Gästen alles recht zu machen - das hat uns gut gefallen.

Das Zimmer, welches wir hatten, hat leider die ganze Zeit über nach Motoröl und Abgasen gestunken. Unsere ganze Klamotten aus dem Koffer riechen nun danach. Das ist wirklich sehr schade.

Very nice staff and very good located!

Nothing, the breakfast could have been more varied, would have loved to have some Sri Lankan food but that’s just my personal preference, it was still good!

I stayed at this hostel/homestay hybrid and overall had a pleasant experience. The property is tucked away in a peaceful residential neighborhood, offering a quiet atmosphere that’s perfect for rest. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the entire place is kept very clean and tidy. The location is also quite good, making it easy to get around (During peak times, Uber might take at least 15-20 minutes - so plan ahead).

Slow and intermittent Wifi. One thing to note is that while the photos show a kitchen, it isn’t really available for guest use. That said, there is access to a refrigerator, microwave, and a small common area with tea, coffee, and creamer provided. Having full tea/coffee amenities would make the stay even better. (not really waterfront)

The manager Mr. Rajeev De Silva was very very kind and accommodating. It’s rare that you even find service like this in a five star hotel and I’ve stayed in some of the best hotels around the world. Highly recommended.

We were made very welcome. There was very good security and we could come and go as our schedule necessitated. An ample breakfast was served. The hot showers we very much appreciated!! Location was quiet and convenient - close but not too close to main road and very easy buses to central core. Convenient for walking in nearby greenspace.

The privacy and the setting

Very comfortable mattress. The room and bathroom were clean. They provided a water bottle, glasses, and soap. We couldn't stay for breakfast, but they served us tea nicely in the morning. We wanted to use the ironing area, and they had it. They offer very friendly and professional service to everyone (even if you're a local, there's no difference — you're welcomed there).

It's clean, spaciou and very well maintained with a nice ambience. It is further quiet and peaceful for one to get a good night's sleep after a hectic outing. There 's a nice kitchen pantry and dining area with all the white wares and dinner wares. One can even pre-order breakfast or dinner in advance. The property manager and caretaker, Rajiv was exceptional with his attitude and service. Humble, proactive and eager to help you can always count on him. The place is just off the road easy to reach by foot. Had the opportunity to meet the owner of the property Jay on our last day. He was a very warm, friendly and joyous. Thanks Jay for allowing us to stay in your house and our deep regards to Rajiv for all his services.

Mr.Rajiv he was very helpful in every manner. If you ask him for any travelling information, he will let you know in detail In the beginning, only I want to stay for 3 nights Later I was staying for many more days till the end of the holiday in Colombo

It was nearly impossible for me to find the place and and spend more than 30 min to contact the owner to find the place. and after contacting waiting more than 10 min outside of nowhere to get in to the premises.

There area no tea or coffee in the room, or hot water to drink, Room is very small, the wash room was not hygienic the bin was not cleaned inside the bathroom , It was full from the previous guest.

Accommodation provided a calm and quiet atmosphere. Easy access to town or the lake edge from the property, very clean room, and hospitality of the caretaker is appreciable. I had a comfortable stay there.

Jay's Guest Diyatha was a charming home stay for my wife and I. The house was beautiful and we enjoyed having a spacious area to relax in. The waterfront walk was also a nice touch, we enjoyed the weekend local markets and the restaurants around. We were still quite close to the city but enjoyed the peace and quiet. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Colombo.
