The staff were lovely and very welcoming. My room was comfortable with really good air conditioning, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety each day. Great location for exploring Ubud and great cafes just a few minutes walk away.

La limpieza sin duda es un aspecto que podría mejorar, si bien tenían café en la habitación, las tazas y los utensilios no estaban limpios. Podrían ofrecer bali coffee en el desayuno.

I feel the reviews really misled me and I'm like where did these people stay? The room I was given looked like it hasn't been lived for a while so not cleaned. It smelled dust. I find the pictures misleading.The shower has green molds even on ground, like its never cleaned, it really needs, real scrubing. I just closed my eyes to shower and sleep just for the night. On the other side, you get what you pay for, right?

Upon arrival, I noticed that the bedsheet was very dirty, but it was replaced after I asked. The walls are very thin, so you can hear pretty much everything from neighboring rooms, which makes it hard to relax. My room was also close to the road, so there was quite a bit of traffic noise.

The breakfast on the terrace with plants and trees all around was great. The staff was helpful and nice. The room was fine. We got some complimentary bottles of water every day.

I just missed a fridge in the room.

Loved my stay at Umah Pekak! The family who run it are lovely and very open and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was yummy and always delivered to my patio with a smile. The location is a little outside the city center, but close to some really good healthy restaurants and walkable to Intuitive Flow yoga and Alchemy Yoga via the footpath.

It's on the main road so can have some traffic noise, but overall a very comfortable place to stay.

Bed was so comfortable and large, room adequately spacious and staff wonderful. Gave me a breakfast box to go as had an early pick up for transfer to international airport. And could make easy payment at same time as I had run out of cash.

Some people may find the road nearby a little noisy but I did not and am a light sleeper

The hotel is very well located, just 8 minutes by scooter from Ubud’s town center. The place is peaceful, and the facilities are excellent for the price you pay — a great value for money. At night it’s very quiet since no vehicles pass by, so restful sleep is guaranteed. The option with breakfast included was the best choice: we saved money and enjoyed delicious breakfasts, plus you can schedule it at the time that suits you, and they always deliver it directly to your room. The staff is very kind, respectful, and always helpful with directions, recommendations for places to visit, and where to eat. Our stay was very pleasant during our 15 days there. We would definitely stay again without hesitation.

A beautiful traditional Balinese homestay with peaceful vibes and comfortable amenities. I stayed in the upstairs room which was very spacious and private and had a lovely balcony. The included breakfast of banana pancakes and fruit was delicious and it’s nice that bottled water and bali coffee are included in the rooms. The location is great, a short distance to everything without being in the center of the busiest area. I enjoyed the stay very much and will choose it again in the future.

Excellent location, very quiet and close to cute cafes and walkable areas. Incredible service, always available and kind. We go breakfast served in the small room patio every morning which was a nice touch. Highly recommended!!

Nice owner and neighbours. Interesting territory with Bali vibes. We had our own balcony with good view where we had breakfast. Cleaning every day. Close to the center of Ubud, 10min walk.

Umah Pekak strikes the perfect balance—spotlessly clean, incredibly comfortable, and hosted by the warmest, most welcoming family I’ve met. There’s a genuine sense of calm and care here that’s rare to find. The space feels both homely and private, and the location is ideal—tucked away just enough to feel peaceful, but still close to everything I love in Ubud. I’ll absolutely be coming back. 100%.

Dependently in which room you stay the connection of internet might be better or worst. For normal use it's fine but for online calls is better to ask for the room with the better wifi. The place is next to noisy street, if someone is fine with it then I can really highly recommend the place.

Super clean room, well decorated, huge mirror, clean bathroom, no mold smell, well working AC and WIFI!!! Great location in Penestanan just steps away from Cafe Vespa, healthy Ubud and green Lotus (beat laksa!!). You do hear a bit of road noise but really didn't bother me much. That's the trade off for being in center and so close to everything. Staff is super nice....I really love that they're animal friendly! Love the cute ginger cats running around

I stayed in Umah Pekak for 3 weeks and it was the best decision for my first time in Bali and Ubud! the owners and staff are amazing! the atmosphere is so calm! it is not noisy, even outside is a big traffic during working days. the location is perfect- I found yoga studio (intuitive flow), cafe (yellow flower) and best massage therapist in 10 mins by walk. the breakfasts are nice and you can ask about castomizing it. the smell in the apartment is pleasant and all these made it for me felt like home ❤️ my recommendations!

It was days of biggest rain and I saw some big cockroaches inside and was really scary. Also every night it was lizard singing 😅 but Ubud is all about different kind of insects and animals, just be ready for this.

If you are a solo traveler or a couple, this accommodation is the one you are looking for. The location is perfect, out of busy noisy center but still close to, great caffe and restaurants nearby, awesome motorbike rent just on the corner. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and bed is big and comfy. Best breakfast and stuff is super nice and welcoming as is the Bali island and people of Bali. Thank you, I wish to stay more here.

had a amazing stay here!! stayed for - in total - one month! breakfast was really good, staff super kind, the accommodation itself was really nice, and the location, a little further out of the center, but thats what i really prefer as Ubud center is super busy. the area is really nice as well. supermarkets, restaurants, and good coffee around the corner!!

the accommodation is easily walkable to central ubud and I was able to shorten my stay.

i booked the 'deluxe room' and it was anything but, the room was dark with a broken lamp, alot of dust and cobwebs underneath and behind the bed. the view from the balcony was mainly of electrical wires, and there was no access to communal garden which wasn't stated on the ad. the lamp reported broken at checkin was not repaired, and due to a large gap under the bedroom door, a mouse came in at night and 'staff' reluctantly came to get it out (it was in the bedside drawer) and then found another mouse in the other bed side drawer (with mouse droppings), these were both quickly eaten by the resident cat. the room was also next door to a room that left garbage in the corridor that attracted a lot of flies, and there was a lot of noise from the road.

The bed was very comfortable. The sheets were clean, and the air conditioner worked very well. It is a comfortable stay if you don’t mind the things that don’t work.

The toilet seat cover seriously needs changing. It had grey streaks on the cover and on the plastic seat. Rather distasteful. The door is a traditional wooden carved door, and it’s beautiful. But it does make a lot of noise on opening and closing. The wooden windows do not shut properly, and swings open on its own.

The room was exactly as in the pictures with white bedsheets 👌🏾... perfect as it appeared online. The bed is so comfortable and the bathroom is very clean with a view of the moon and the skies. The location is great and safe too, a walking distance to several coffee shops, restaurants, Ubud market, and several sightseeing locations. The host at Umah Pekak is friendly and gracious, they provided an excellent healthy breakfast. They went beyond to make breakfast very early(on request) which was so remarkable. Thank you Umah Pekak for making my stay in Ubud, Bali wonderful and memorable. Will definitely be back and highly recommend Umah Pekak to other travelers.

We trully enjoyed our stay at Umah Pekak. We stayed in a tranditional balenise room/house with an outdoor bathroom. It was magical. Feels like a home stay and its something we wouldn't have experienced if we stayed somewhere else. The architecture and the amount of detail in the traditional Balenese housing is incredible. The breakfast was delicious! Can't recommend it enough.

The place is amazing. Location is great. Restaurants and stores around, and only about 30 min by walking from the center, or a short 10 min bike ride. The staff are really friendly. Breakfast is out of this world. Rooms are big, comfortable and spacious. The place is really green and rooms are very modern. Definitely a place I will stay again when I come back to Ubud.
