Jeg bodde her en natt fordi det bare var en kort gåtur til togstasjonen. Det var en enkel standard, men veldig rent og fint. Utrolig hyggelig personale og god mat! Hadde jeg hatt mer tid i dette området hadde jeg definitivt bodd her en natt til!

Great location near the train station and the river. Hosts were very accommodating and because it was raining and we didn't feel like going out they offered us dinner which we loved.

We hebben een fijn verblijf gehad. De locatie was goed en de mensen waren ontzettend aardig en gastvrij. Vanaf het moment dat we aankwamen, voelden we ons direct welkom. Het ontbijt en diner waren goed geregeld en er was genoeg aandacht voor ons als gasten. Een groot pluspunt is dat de eigenaar ook treintickets voor je kan regelen. Hierdoor hoef je niet zelf in de drukte en lange rijen te staan en kun je gemakkelijker de trein in. Dit maakte onze reis een stuk relaxter. Als je hier specifiek verblijft vanwege de treinreis, bijvoorbeeld om vroeg met de trein te vertrekken, dan kan ik deze accommodatie zeker aanraden. Een prettig verblijf met vriendelijke mensen en goede service!

Amazing location, right next to a tea plantation and you can walk to the waterfalls and beyond. If you are staying only to take the train I recommend staying one more night just to explore the whereabouts, it's really beautiful and one of our highlights of Sri Lanka. It is also a really short walk to the train station.

Excellent breakfast, the hostess was so kind and lovely. Welcome tea and cake were very welcome after the train ride. She had warmed the room for us with a heater as it was a chilly day. Excellent location near the train and wonderful walk through a local tea plantation with lots of small waterfalls. Suggest you make time for this walk. They looked after our luggage after check out time.

Nothing. It was definitely worth what we paid for. It was our last night in Sri Lanka so we knew it was value for money. She even prepared dinner for us after a late train ride.

Wifi werkte bijna niet

Wij zijn hier voor het tweede jaar. De eigenaren zijn warm en vriendelijk en heel dankbaar. De kamers zijn heel fris en schoon. Bij aankomst werden we verwelkomd met thee en cake. Ze hebben voor ons heerlijk gekookt. Dit scheelde ons zoeken naar een restaurant. Ze zijn aan het verbouwen. Wij hadden daar niets van gemerkt. Er komen grote familie kamers bij.

Nous avons été très touchés de l’accueil chaleureux de notre hôte qui nous a offert un the et un morceau de gâteau à notre arrivée. Le logement est agréablement situé à proximité d’une cascade, de la gare et du centre-ville. Les lits sont confortables et pourvus de draps et couverture. Bien que nous n’en n’ayons pas eu l’utilité, des appareils anti-moustiques nous ont été proposés. Le repas du soir était bon et copieux. Nos hôtes ont également eu la gentillesse de nous déposer a la gare.

Les douches sont sûrement un point sur lequel des améliorations pourraient être apportées, notamment au niveau du réglage de la température. Nous avons eu à déplorer un peu de retard sur le repas du soir, ce qui dans notre situation, n’a cependant pas été gênant, pas plus que les travaux en cours qui promettent d’apporter a cet établissement un confort supplémentaire à l’avenir

We had a fantastic stay at Ansi Villa! The hosts are such genuinely wonderful people who made sure we were comfortable from the moment we arrived. They really go out of their way to create a warm, welcoming, homey atmosphere. The lady of the house cooks dinner right on site for her guests, and it was absolutely delicious, authentic, homemade, and full of flavor. The breakfast was fresh, and super nourishing to start the day. If you appreciate true Sri Lankan hospitality and delicious home cooked meals, this is the place to be. We couldn't have asked for a better stay! 🌿✨

✅ Les avantages * bel emplacement, avec une belle cascade devant la chambre et les plantations de thé. * La fraîcheur est appréciable, avec environ 15 °C la nuit. * Le propriétaire est discret et timide . * Accueil agréable avec un the et un morceau de gâteau.

❌ Les inconvénients * Chambre assez simple. Il n’y avait pas de draps, ce qui est dommage. Nous avons préféré ne pas dormir directement sous la couverture, qui ne semble pas être lavée entre chaque séjour. * Une bouilloire est bien présente dans la chambre, mais sans thé, café ni sachets de sucre. * Le repas du soir (1 600 roupies) nous a semblé un peu sec à notre goût par le prix . * Le petit-déjeuner a été servi environ 45 minutes après l’heure demandée. Ce n’est pas rédhibitoire, mais il vaut mieux le savoir si vous avez un taxi. * Le patio est partagé avec les autres voyageurs. * La maison en travaux qui correspond pas aux photos du site .

We appreciated the authenticity of the home stay, village nearby and family. We felt and as if we were staying in their home. Nearby are the village and town. It is suited to those who are not looking for a western tourist experience but to spend time in a local area. There are lovely walks to do in the area and it is 15mins on a bus or tuk tuk to Nuwara Elia. Also not far to worlds end. We had a beautiful day with a local tuk tuk driver who took us to local temples and sites. It’s possible to have dinner at the villa - just be aware that it is traditional to eat after 8 pm so plan for this.

Accueil très chaleureux et chambre impeccable ! Le lit était hyper confortable, les draps super doux, on a trop bien dormi ! La douche était bien chaude et la salle de bain d'une propreté nickel. Le petit déjeuner Sri Lankais était super bon, et être accueilli par un thé à notre arrivée était très appréciable 😍 Les plantations de thé dans lesquelles on peu se balader sont littéralement derrière la maison, on voit le pont du train depuis la terrasse et on peut se balader proche de la rivière. On venait surtout pour visiter Nuwara Elyia, et bien qu'à quelques kilomètres, la localisation était parfaite, au calme dans un petit village authentique, à deux pas de la gare, et si on est pas vehiculé, il y a des bus directs pour aller à Nuwara Elyia donc top. On serait bien resté plus longtemps pour se reposer ! Merci pour tout !

It may not be the most luxurious or beautiful place to stay, but it was definitely the most heartwarming accommodation during my time in Sri Lanka. The hospitality is incredible, and you immediately feel at home. I truly enjoyed my stay and would happily come back.

We stayed here for two days with my girlfriend because we wanted to do the train journey from Nanu Oya to Ella. Unfortunately, there were no trains on the day we planned to leave from Nanu Oya, but the owner offered to take us to Ambewela, where trains to Ella were running the following day. He also took care of our motorcycle the whole day. Very cozy place, even though it is still under construction. Highly recommended.

This place doesn’t look much from the outside, I was a little dubious when I first arrived. However the people running the place are really lovely and allowed me early checkin, I only wanted to leave my bag, and gave me a welcome tea. Rooms are basic but extremely clean, comfortable, warm, quiet and have hot water in bathroom. They even left me a breakfast pack to take with me on my 6am train. Easy walk to train station.

I had a very good stay at ANSI Villa. It’s a great place, located just a 10-minute walk from Nanu Oya train station and about a 15-minute tuk-tuk ride to Nuwara Eliya. The villa offers a beautiful view of the bridge, and there are local waterfalls only a 15-minute walk away. It’s a perfect spot if you’re stopping here on your way to another destination. The host is fantastic, really kind people, and the breakfast I had here was probably one of the best I’ve had in Sri Lanka. Overall, it’s excellent value for money.

They welcomed us with a delicious cake and a lovely cup of tea. Everything was so clean and comfortable. I stayed one night there and it was a great experience! The moother of Tharun, this lady was so friendly. They made us a very good breakfast also.

Room was very clean, clean linen on bed and spotless in general. Basic but sufficient. Very quiet at night. We were welcomed with tea and cake and in the morning had a yummy sri lankan breakfast. The location meant we could walk round the road to a beautiful waterfall through the tea plantation.

One towel was a bit stained and there was no hot water in the morning. This didnt really affect us though. No driver accomodation- we were not aware this was a thing as this was our first night in sri lanka but double check with your drivers regarding their stay/pay etc...

The welcoming tea and cake is extremely delicious. The lady who is name Anbu was super patience and they make the most delicious breakfast I’ve had in Colombo. I have an incredible stay at the place.

Shower water is not always warm. That’s okay with me. Just don’t shower at midnight.

A peaceful stay for those looking to relax and get off the touristy spots . Nearby waterfalls and scenery makes the stay more pleasant. The owners were so sweet , gave us loads of options to choose for breakfast and even welcomed us with a cup of tea and cake .

If you’re having big luggage it might be hard to walk from the bus stop in the town to the hotel , otherwise it’s a steep walk for about 9 minutes .

It is a really nice place to stay. The hosts were very kind and helpful, and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast and dinner with local food. The location is convenient – just a short walk from the train station, close to beautiful waterfalls, and also not far from Nuwara Eliya, which we easily reached by bus. On top of that, the price was very good.

Le personnel est très gentil. Le petit déjeuner est très bon de même que le repas du soir. Les chambres sont très propres. Le petit coin salon apporte beaucoup de convivialité et permet d'échanger avec les autres résidents.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich mit Tee und einem Stück Kuchen empfangen. Das Abendessen hier ist wirklich wunderbar und sehr zu empfehlen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, die Räume waren sehr sauber. Es hat alles wunderbar funktioniert und wir können die Unterkunft nur wärmstens weiter empfehlen. Von der Terrasse aus hat man einen schönen Blick auf die Brücke, dort kann man die Züge Richtung Bahnhof beobachten. Vom Bahnhof ist es nur eine kurze Distanz. Gelohnt hat sich für uns auch der Ausflug zu einem kleinen Wasserfall, das kann man in gut 20 Minuten zu Fuß machen.

Bathroom was a little damp - but to be expected for £15 a night!

I must say the staff are the kindest people ever, they helped us with anything we needed. The room and toilet were super clean, very delicious breakfast and very calm location.

Agua fría, tienen un calentador para compartir entre todas las habitaciones, la ventana del lavabo no cierra y entra mucho frío, el desayuno es como si fuera una comida ( para un europeo no se concibe). Y el pueblo es muy rural, no hay apenas de nada y menos restaurantes… es mejor irte a Nuwara Eliya

房間空間小，三人房的陽台區是大家的公用區域，非獨立空間。天氣很冷，熱水溫度低，不夠熱。房間內蚊蟲很多，到處飛很困擾。

Einfache Unterkunft in super Lage zum Ortskern und Wasserfällen. Ebenso nur 5 Minuten Fußweg zum Bahnhof Nanu Oya. Das Abendessen von den Gastgebern war super! Können wir nur empfehlen. Bekamen Reis und Curry mit unterschiedlichsten Beilagen (Portionen riesig). Auch das Frühstück war reichlich und sehr gut und eine Abwechslung zu den anderen Unterkünften. Wer also eine Zwischenunterkunft braucht, um dann mit dem Zug nach Ella zu kommem, is hier richtig. :)

Zimmer in Ordnung, etwas feucht (leichter Schimmel im Bad). Hat uns aber für 8€ die Nacht und nur 1 Nacht Aufenhalt nicht weiter gestört.

Nice clean and comfy hostel. Very delicious dinner and breakfast. The lady who took a care of us is absolutely amazing.

Voor een verblijf van één nachtje op doorreis was het oké. Mooie waterval in de buurt om even naartoe te lopen en dichtbij het station. Het gekookte eten (duurde wel 2 uur) was wel heel lekker en niet duur.

De kamer was heel klein en heel erg basic en ongezellig. Teveel kamers ten opzichte van de algemene ruimte, wij wilden even lekker op de bank zitten, maar er was een groep jongens die daar al zaten. Dan kon je alleen ongezellig in je basic kamer op het bed zitten. Het zoontje geeft aan dat er restaurantjes in de buurt zitten, de eigenaresse zegt vervolgens van niet en dan moet je daarna 1 uur op een colaatje wachten die ze ergens moeten halen en 2 uur op je eten. Het is mega gehorig, dus andere gasten hoor je heel goed. De eigenaren spreken niet goed Engels en zijn niet echt zichtbaar. Het duurde lang voordat iemand je naar je kamer bracht, terwijl we heel laat aankwamen. Wifi is matig, geen douchegel in de badkamer.

És un hotelet petit molt familiar i molt acollidor. Ens van tractar molt bé i el menjar boníssim. Des del mateix hotel vam sortir a fer una excursió per les plantacions de te molt bonica. Si aneu a Nanu Oya, és un bon lloc per estar-s'hi!

Nous avons adoré notre nuit dans cette propriété, nous avons été accueilli avec un thé et un gâteau. Logement juste à côté de la gare pour le fameux trajet en train jusqu’à Ella. La dame nous a proposé de nous faire à manger le soir. Petit déjeuner local très bon.

Vam passar una nit a Ansi Villa i la veritat és que el personal va ser molt amable. Ens van rebre amb te i pastís. Tenia les habitacions preparades. L’endemà ens va recomenar una petita excursió fins a una cascada propera. L’estació per agafar el tren cap a Ella estava molt a prop. A l’allotjament feien sopar (no inclòs en el preu, 1350-1600€ per cap), ja que a prop no hi havia gaire res… Les racions de menjar eren molt grans, val la pena compartir-les.

Com a contrapunt, es tracta d’una casa en obres i, per tant, falten moltes comoditats, hi ha parets fetes amb fullola, forats com a finestres, espais encara amb bigues i ferros d’obra, etc. Vam enganxar un dia plujós (habitual en la zona) i vam haver de menjar en una taula a fora (amb l’humitat i el fred). La comunicació era complicada perquè parlaven poc anglès. Les habitacions eren petites i amb força humitat. No hi ha aigua calenta.

Het hotel ligt op een heel mooie locatie. Helaas hadden wij de pech dat het heel mistig en regenachtig was. Hierdoor weinig kunnen zien van omgeving. De brug met de trein is te zien vanaf het terras. Het avond eten was lekker en heel ruime porties. Tip het is er redelijk koud, dus zorg voor dikke kleding.

Door het regenachtige weer was alles erg klam en hierdoor voelde het koud aan. Hotel kan hier natuurlijk niks aan doen..

Vriendelijke mensen. Fijne kamer. Dicht bij het treinstation, handig als je naar Ella wil met de trein.

We moesten wat langer wachten op het eten, maar dit was wel erg lekker. Douche was lauwwarm.

The location of this property is amazing..very near to Nanu oya railway station(walkable distance only)..and the staff was very friendly and attentive..they provided very good breakfast I highly recommend

Geen laken, enkel een deken. Geen warm water in de douche terwijl dat in deze frisse omgeving echt wel fijn was geweest.

Wir waren nur für eine Nacht zwischen Kandy und Ella hier, die Unterkunft liegt nur ca 10 Minuten zu Fuß vom Nanu Oya Bahnhof mitten im Grünen. Empfangen wurden wir mit Tee und Kuchen. Das Zimmer war sauber und es gab eine warme Decke. Frühstück und Abendessen waren auch sehr lecker und die Gastgeber sehr freundlich :) Alles super!

Nanu Oya is small, and the Ansi Villa is an easy walk from the station. The place is fairly basic but vey reasonably priced and the couple who run it are lovely. Breakfast was also basic, but pretty good.

The shower was a little primitive.

Welcome drink and cake, calm location, the adaptator in the room. The owner was nice and gave us good advice where to hike in the tea plantation.

地理位置靠近nanuoya火车站，五分钟的路程，门口有溪流，可以看到小火车路过，店主妹妹做的晚餐挺不错，离开时下大雨，店主帮忙叫了突突车，并且很优惠的价格

The hotel is located in a quiet area surrounded by Nuwara Eliya’s beautiful tea plantations. Having breakfast on the balcony while enjoying the view was truly the best way to start the day. The room I stayed in had only a bed, and my private bathroom (shower and toilet) was located in a separate room, but it was designated just for me. By walking along the railway tracks, I could reach the station in about 5 minutes on foot, which made it very easy to catch my train the next morning. The owner was also very kind and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We kregen, ondanks dat we deze niet geboekt hadden, de familiekamer. Heel erg fijn met onze twee jonge kinderen. Alles was super schoon, netjes en dichtbij het trein station.

We moesten wel even wachten op het eten. Dit was het qua smaak helemaal waard, maar voor onze kinderen lastig omdat ze hongerig waren.

El trato de la propietaria buenísimo, siempre muy atenta para que pasáramos una estancia más que agradable. La comida muy buena y abundante. Las vistas desde la entrada inmejorables a campos de té. Muy agusto en conclusión.

La localisation est parfaite c’est à 2min à pieds de la gare (en passant par les raccourcis), on est entre une rivière et des champs de thé. On peut se balader autour : il y a des cascades et on peut aller à travers champs. On mange super bien et pour un bon prix. Les hôtes sont aux petits soins.
