Just lovely and casual dining
Nothing all great
Great room. Lovely facilities.
Poor labelling of the menu and gluten free options were limited.
We got married at Tewinbury back in September 2025, it is an absolutely stunning venue. The staff are amazing. We decided to stay here again for our anniversary this year it was beautiful to be able to sit have nice meal listening to a live singer and remembering our special day. We went back enjoyed the rest of the evening on the lakeside with a fireplace surroundings are beautiful
Different types of accommodation and gardens/fields.
Menu choices in the bar and restaurant
Beautiful setting was there for a wedding it was perfect and the room beautiful
Nothing
Clean & modern, decent gym! Free parking.
It’s a big site & very easy to get lost, my room was a good distance away from reception.I paid £125 solo traveler with no breakfast, overpriced I felt!
Loved our room and big shower and bath
Nothing to not like
Hotel was very different in that it was part of a working farm. A variety of rooms in individual lodges in a rural location. Our stay was for a wedding but the food and breakfast was excellent and the room was comfortable.
We'd been provided with a discount code as wedding guests. When we booked, hotel told us that the discount had expired, and wouldn't apply it which we found very intransigent. Bedroom only had 1 set of towels which reception did apologise for. Room key didn't work at first and we had to return to reception to have it reset.
We stayed in a shepherd hut, it was beautifully equipped and laid out. Luxurious yet private. Friendly staff. Everything was easy.
We got married here which is why we return. I didn’t love that there was a loud wedding taking place what felt like very close to our shepherds hut but understand this is the nature od the venue. Just not as peaceful as I would have lo ned
We sat with friends in the bar area on Sunday afternoon and had a lovely view of the stream and some delicious bread and butter with our drinks. That was the highlight of the trip. The breakfast was good including excellent tasty bacon and chopped fresh fruit.
We came here 20+ years ago for a friends' wedding and loved it so were happy to return to celebrate a big anniversary. Sadly, there were a number of big disappointments which made me wish we had gone somewhere else. - Woodland huts: the woodland huts had some trees in front of them but were actually facing over the hotel site and the overwhelming sound was the generators/aircon units on the main site. It definitely didn't feel like a woodland location. It would have been much better if they were facing away from the site, towards the field behind them. I would not have booked if I had know the location would be like that. In addition, my mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable - it seemed to be the mattress topper making it like that. It needs changing. - Evening meal in Cowshed: I told the hotel we were booking to celebrate a big anniversary. It turned out that the Sunday evening menu was only 4 mains, all roast dinners. Beef, Chicken, Pork and T bone to share. The last two were unavailable so we had the choice of Beef or Chicken roast dinner. I never order roast dinner as I don't enjoy them, and would not have booked to eat there if they had informed us about the extremely limited Sunday menu. It was a good Sunday roast if you like them. We ordered puddings - our first choice was not available so three choices left. I left most of mine as it was too sweet (I never leave puddings!). I can't remember the name of it but it was something like a blackcurrant choc ice + blackcurrant sorbet. Very sad that it didn't live up to expectations. Also, the tables are strangely laid out in the restaurant so larger groups are in the centre of the room but all tables for 2 people are lining the edge and feel out of the way and not well accommodated. It feels a bit like making money is the main priority here, rather than the guests. We have stayed in lots of lovely hotels recently but this is one I would rather not have come to.
The rooms were amazing. Spaced out areas to have a drink and great food
Parking was a small walk over rough ground so not good for wedding shoes
It had a lot there and really enjoyed the room and little touches
Got woken up at 6:30 as our room was next to the kitchen and we could hear them banging around, I assume getting ready for the day, which was very annoying to be woken up at that time. We were also disappointed to learn the pizza isn’t open on weekdays so our only option was the cowshed restaurant. We would’ve liked to see a burger on the menu or something but it was all very deer
It’s beautiful
It was lovely nothing to no like
Location was fantastic and the surrounding walks were stunning. All the food on offer was absolutely delicious.
The property was clean, beautiful surroundings and great facilities.
Welcoming, scenic and clean. Had a lovely room in what looked like a brand new building. Great food and drink on site. Buffet breakfast was fab. Busy with a wedding party, but not overly noisy, and easy to distance yourself. No queuing anywhere. Staff were generally very efficient and helpful.
Noisy air conditioning even when switched off. Surprised to see I'm not the first to mention this. Really does need addressing. We were in Kingsbridge Archers Green. Fantastic room, but feels a tiny bit like you're encroaching on the bigger property that this forms a part of (we aren't very thick-skinned though, so that's probably just us!)
The room was comfortable and elegant. The location is well away from the road with plenty of open space around it. Staff are very helpful.
Location is lovely. Breakfast was good
Non-functioning air conditioning which was why I’d booked this hotel
This was our second stay - we stayed at the lake hut in May which was almost perfect (just needed more utensils) this time we returned as we were visiting nearby. Location is perfect and beautifully decorated and preserved. Staff are professional and some are genuinely very kind and go out of their way. Breakfast was average and a good selection. Bed is very comfortable.
We were situated near the restaurant- on the website no events were listed for a Monday night but it was extremely loud and noisy a lot of people walked past conversing loudly close to midnight. The music and singing did not stop until after midnight. My son struggled to sleep and remembered in the morning.
Beautiful surroundings - quiet and comfy!
Their ethos was local produce and “yards not miles” but the whole wine list was imported wines. There are some beautiful English wines, would have been nice to see them on the menu.
The setting is amazing the grounds the vibe. Excellent

Super Frühstück mit guten Kaffee Gartis laden für e Autos Moderne Bad Ausstattung Kinder Spielplatz Nettes Personal
Facilities were lovely, surroundings and opportunities for walks are stunning, atmosphere was chill. Pizza is absolutely divine!
I'd say slightly over-priced to be drinking out of plastic cups, and the outside seating was filthy. Unfortunately our room was right next to the wedding venue part of the location, which went on till 1am. The wedding party then seemed to overload the breakfast room the next day, blocking the areas for non-wedding diners. Had we known we would have better prepared/ equally I'm not sure the wedding guests were told they weren't the only people there. Sadly it wasn't quite the relaxing birthday retreat we had expected.
Everything! The rooms, the staff, the breakfast, the setting.
There was only one sad looking table tennis ball which was muddy coloured so difficult to see when playing at dusk.
We konden onze electrische auto opladen.
Bijna niets. Het enige jammere was dat er s ochtends vroeg voertuigen pal langs de kamer reden die op het terrein al heel vroeg aan het werk gingen. De kamer was goed geïsoleerd, maar dit was helaas wel te horen.
We stayed in a lake hut and it was superb, idyllic, peaceful and the perfect surprise for my wife’s birthday.
Couldn’t fault the stay at all.
Beautiful venue, lovely room. Evening restaurant was exceptional.
Not keen on buffet style breakfast. Had to wait for bacon and sausages , other bits got cold .
Great value for excellent room with self catering facilities, outdoor baths, and fire pit.
Restaurants and bar in site but no access to gym
A wonderful experience, surroundings and the beauty of the lake and nature. The rooms had character and so relaxing. Would love to come back for a longer stay sometime.

Calm and restful, great check in experience, the staff are super friendly and very helpful.
Nothing really good experience

Location is perfect! The staff are all amazing! Beds are so comfy !
Nothing it was amazing
Breakfast was good and the location is superb - peaceful abd plenty of open space
Struggling to find anything I didn't like
Place for my grandkids to play. Great aircon and good sized rooms
Nothing
Peaceful relaxing the woodland hut was my favourite although the lake side hut with swedish tub was lovely too.
Amazing room for our night of our wedding couldn't fault it at all!
Everything cute cosy thanks for the birthday card message also
Net should be provided to get insects out of the tub other then that I was happy with every
It’s a lovely venue that always makes me feel like I have been on a retreat even though it’s only one night
Cant think of anything really
We stayed in the Lake House and it was exceptional. So wonderful to sit out in nature and relax. I would definitely stay here again. Although next time I wouldn't bother with the restaurant on site, I would get one of their lovely stone baked pizzas and bring it back to the lake side. It is definitely worth a stay. Perfect for a couple retreat.
Warm friendly welcome & a sustainable luxury
Location
Absolutely beautiful
Superb farm hotel, Accommodation facilities spread out over spacious, well maintained grounds. Rooms were excellent, contemporary designs, including bathrooms. Beds were very comfortable and rooms very clean. The breakfast buffet had both, hot and cold choices and food was well cooked and presented. Staff at reception and restaurants were very friendly and helpful. There was a nice choice of local produce available for purchase also.
There was nothing to dislike
Beautiful room beautiful setting
Lovely view, cozy little hut, we were provided with everything we needed Place was very secure Would stay here again
Facilities excellent. Disappointed with breakfast cold hot food .
Breakfast this was ethe second visit and on both times what should have been hot food was cold.
Privacy, quality and excellent customer service. Live in Europe but visit the Hertfordshire area constantly for work meetings etc. tried every hotel pub from 5 star to 3 star - this is the best place by a country mile.
Nothing to write about
It was absolutely beautiful, well maintained, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Nothing really, if I had to be super picky I would say perhaps some more evening menu choices, or an alternative bar menu rather than the main restaurant.
Lovely barn and pretty location. Restaurant food very nice. Staff very helpful. Loved the animals (piglets and alpacas) and had the best stay.
The children’s beds in the upstairs bedroom are rock hard and exceptionally creaky everytime they move, and uncomfortable. New beds are definitely required.
Excellent location, accommodation and service.
No issues.
Beautiful surroundings
All good
Visually stunning and unique venue!
Rock hard beds. A fridge that didn’t work, so warm milk. No WiFi or signal so had to go off site to be able to contact our children. A smart tv that you couldn’t watch and even the night receptionist tried for over an hour and couldn’t get it to work. There were also multiple private party events going on simultaneously, so amenities such as The Courtyard bar were closed by 7pm with no warning on Friday evening.
Farm hotel set in beautiful surroundings with lots of space. Great base for walking or just relaxing and enjoying the outdoors and surrounding area. Food at the Cowshed was really good too (especially the sourdough bread, that you can buy in the farm shop!) The hotel also hosts weddings, but these are well managed in a way not to affect other guests. We had a great stay and will definitely be going back.
De ligging Prachtige omgeving
Love this place so much, beautiful surroundings and staff really friendly and helpful
Style and location
The staff attitude
As a mid stop we needed travelling with a dog to Dorset from the Suffolk Coast it was perfect. Super dog friendly with great long country walks and then dog friendly bars & restaurants.
The Cowshed Restaurant could have been better for the value - food service was slow and celeriac main course was undercooked but the staff were attentive and responsive when the issue was raised.
Relaxing and great accommodations. Great walks and farm animals.

Well it was my wedding weekend Nobody told me that the reception are was going to be closed and couldn’t get into the building once I came back from the cow shed after dinner , I should have been told this when I checked in , I had to go back to the restaurant to be told the door was to my right after a certain time
I came there on the Friday with all my cases and bags as I was flu going to stay until Sunday as my wedding was going to be on the Saturday nobody offered to take or help me carry my stuff to my room I then called on the Monday as I left a bracelet and ring there when I checked out Sunday , they said they would check call me back , nobody did rather disappointing !! I spent a lot of money to stay and didn’t feel special in any way !!
Very good venue for weddings. Family room was fantastic.
Only thing I can say that wasn’t great was the double bed was small, although a friend had another family room with a massive super king bed.
Hotel Setting is amazing, Reception was extremely welcoming, pre arrival communication was also really good. the standard of the furnishings and come of the bed was also very good.
The restaurant and staff were also really great... My only comment would be that the cost of the food... a 10z Sirloin Steak was £38 + another £6 for Fries and no vegetables included... In my book as a regular traveller that is excessive :(
Great location , excellent staff
All very clean and well maintained
The main car park is a fair distance from reception. A hike with a suitcase in a frosty wind.
Good accommodation in lovely quiet rural setting with restaurant options
The radiators couldn’t be switched off or down in the room and even after putting on the air conditioning the room was unbearably hot making sleeping difficult and leaving us very tired for a trip the next day.
Location
nothing
Great food, and very high end rooms.
Many cars crossing through the hotel area which is not very convenient with children.
Beautiful grounds and lots to do
The very small suggestion I would make is that the tv in the room was too small from the distance from the bed and struggled to see it. I would suggest larger tv’s.
Our telly didn't work and the staff were really kind and helpful and tried to fix it. When it couldn't be fixed they immediately gave us a new room with a working telly.
Nothing!
Liked the location, would be better in summer with dry weather, liked the coffee shop, had nice room in new block, was lovely and quiet, meal in Cowshed was good, breakfast very nice, all staff very helpful
Would have preferred a lounge within dry walking distance, we stayed playing a game for 3 hours in the coffee shop as the bar doesn’t open until 5pm, no other place to go. Also check in not til 3pm with check out 11am is not even a day. Also was only 1 bath towel in each room for two people?
lovely looking room wonderful breakfast and lovely staff,
The room was close to a function which was playing thudding music until late, very noisy and sadly our thick tortellini was under cooked and had hard parts
Nice buildings and surroundings
The rooms where very small
Nice location and pleasant stay
Good location and room was cosy
We got the lake hut with alfresco tub, and it was amazing. The room was nice and cozy, the hot tub was ready for us to use, and the view was really nice. The breakfast was really yummy, and we also enjoyed the dinner at the main restaurant. The entire farm is dog friendly, which we really appreciated as we traveled with our dog - a bowl and a bed were ready for her in the hut, and she came to all our meals. We also got roasted marshmallows when we came back from our walk - the little fires and the tiny cafe that serves hot chocolate and mulled wine were very Christmasy.
Overall feel
Room was very cold and small and dark. Too cold to shower ( bath with shower installed) Stayed in lovely room before but this room not good
Beautiful settings
everything was nice thx
nothing
Great location, lots of different areas, bars and facilities.
Noisy air-conditioning in the room, but it wasn't turned on. Leaky shower, water spread all across the bathroom floor.
Clean, brand new appliances and attention to detail
Only think was food items missing from the menu at the bar so limited food
Room was well located as we have mobility issues. Breakfast excellent.
We had twin beds. One of them slid away from the wall following slightest movement and pillows fell down the back. Beds either need securing better or headboards provided. Also there was no handrail at all in the shower and as I can't stand up for long I could not use it.
Very rustic and fun
It was easy to get lost. But that was part of the fun
Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. We liked our Riverside house with the wood fire hot tub and the wood heater. My partner enjoyed lighting the wood heater.
The sofa in the lounge area was rather small
Very nice stay
Location great, staff really polite, restaurants first class
Nothing
Room excellent, too warm hard to regulate. Breakfast good choices, full english could have been hotter, staff could have smiled a bit more? Dinner very good, staff excellent. Lovely location & facilities.
As above
