Reviewed Sep 13, 2025Ubicación excelente para conocer la ciudad caminando. Alojamiento básico pero con encanto. En los alrededores está lleno de tiendas y restaurantes. Al realizar la reserva se indica que no hay comidas incluidas, pero incluye desayuno: café o te, pan con mantequilla y mermelada, yogur y muffins.
El establecimiento no acepta tarjetas de crédito, sólo cobra en cash. Está información debería figurar cuando se hace la reserva en booking.

La chambre manque un peu d'équipement (lampes de chevets) et certaines salles d'eau demanderaient à être rénovées, la clim ne fonctionne pas toujours très bien .

Reviewed Aug 17, 2025Hotel staff offered us to arrange a taxi to the airport and when the taxi driver got there to pick us up, asked for a price quite different to the one settled. It breaks our trust. A tourist hotel should be very careful with its recommendations because things like this breaks confidence. It's not just the money, it's the trust you put in professional advice. Sad.

Unfortunately, the value for money was really not there. The room was not very clean and lacked many basic amenities. The towels were old and worn out, and the breakfast was of very, very poor quality. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend it for the proposed price

L'accueil était chaleureux, merci à Anouar, Nagib et Fati pour leurs hospitalités. je recommande totalement cet hôtel ! Le lieu est calme et paisible, une architecture qui vous dépayse totalement.

Reviewed May 2, 2025Great location. The room was basic and the bed comfortable. The young guy on reception was excellent and the only member of staff who seemed to understand what customer service entailed.
The whole place was run down and in need of TLC. It waa more like the sort of facilities you'd expect in a hostel, but way more expensive than a hostel. The staff didn't care at all and weren't there when you tried to check in or get breakfast, so you have to wander around looking for them. I booked 4 nights and wished I'd only booked 1. Worst place I've stayed in four weeks in Tunisia. The shower no longer has a hook on the wall so you have to hold it, but there's no shower curtain so water goes everywhere. The 'toiletries' they provide are a small bar of soap. Tiles are broken or missing. Everywhere needs a darned good clean. Breakfast is bread, jam, those cheap triangles of plastic cheese, and plastic-wrapped cake. The green tea was OK. There's no excuse given there's a patisserie next door. The wifi is awful.

Reviewed Jan 6, 2025this is a charming building within the centre of the pedestrianised suq area. it's quiet at night and in the thick of it during the day - a great location. our downstairs room was attractive and with a courtyard view was very quiet. The courtyard with jasmine was lovely for sitting and reading and having breakfast - an oasis. The staff were charming and helpful and the continental breakfast was adequate to start the day. the decor throughout was very Tunisian - tiles and whitewash and blue doors.

Le chauffage était en panne mais l hôte nous a prévenu et nous a même orienté vers un autre hébergement, mais finalement nous sommes restés et en plus nous n avons pas eu froid !!!!

Reviewed Dec 22, 2024This was my third time staying at this charming, historic hotel and I have to say - it gets better every time. This time I came with friends and we booked 5 rooms. Staff were very responsive to my messages when I had concerns about there being someone to greet us with our later than expected arrival. The front desk is manned all the time. Breakfast was fabulous and served in the central courtyard area. The rooms we had were very spacious and everyone's beds were comfortable. The staff were very friendly, spoke English and French, and were able to make suggestions for us. They made our stay super easy.
I didn't like hearing that there is a possibility the hotel will be "renovated" to make it more contemporary. I don't know of any other hotels in Djerba like this where the combination of historic authenticity and charm is matched so well with comfort and service. They should market that strength!

Rooms of a fairly basic nature but more than compensated for by the ambience of the internal courtyard. Extremely quiet given the hotel is in the very centre of Houmt Souk. Taxi from airport to Houmt Souk was 25 dinar. Taxi from Houmt Souk to Tourist Zone 15 dinar. In other words very good value for money if coming from euro zone. Dinar can be obtained at the airport. There is a kiosk where they do not charge commission; we changed £ sterling and euros there. Bear in mind ATM's do charge commission at a fairly hefty rate. Breakfast was fine. Meals out very good value and plenty of places to choose from.
Everything OK to experience a different and friendly culture. No problems.

設備がとても古いです。特にシャワールームはかなり酷くカーテンでの仕切りもないためトイレがびしょびしょになります。シャワースペースは洗濯機置場か？と思うくらい狭いスペースです。友人のベッドにはなぞのザラザラ細かい砂？か何かが飛び散っていました。 値段不相応だなととても感じました。

Reviewed Nov 9, 2024La disposición y amabilidad de las personas que trabajan en el hotel fue muy buena. Muy buena ubicación, en medio de la medina, con muchos comercios y restaurantes alrededor. El aire acondicionado era bastante potente, lo que se agradecia ya que hacia mucho calor.
El desayuno era bastante basico, un paquete de galletas, cafe y un yogurth, pero por el precio de la habitación no se podria pedir tampoco mucho más.

Reviewed Oct 29, 2024C'est un hôtel idéalement placé dans la ville de Houmet Souk. On peut facilement sortir et entrer pour profiter pleinement de la petite ville. C'est un hôtel qui a beaucoup de charme sans tomber dans le luxe, l'équipement reste très simple.
Le petit-déjeuner est basique, des fruits apporteraient un plus.

C'è comunque un parcheggio nel quale abbiamo sempre trovato posto in prossimità. Ottima comunicazione con lo staff, sempre gentile e prodigo di consigli. Arredo spartano e limitato all'essenziale ma suggestivo. L'atmosfera complessiva è molto piacevole perché lontana dai resort ultramoderni del resto dell'isola.
Il bagno era abbastanza ridotto di dimensioni e vecchio, ma è un immobile antico e gli spazi sono quelli che sono; sembra quasi un convento con "celle singole".

En las mañanas sirven el desayuno allí, donde se puede disfrutar de un momento relajante en medio de la medina. Las habitaciones son cómodas y se mantienen frescas a pesar del calor del día. Además, el personal siempre estuvo disponible para nosotros, siendo amables y ayudándonos en lo que necesitábamos.

J'ai lu des commentaires qui disaient le contraire. Peut-être ailleurs dans l'hôtel. Très bien situé dans la Médina. Plusieurs restaurants à 2 minutes de marche.
Déjeuner très simple.
