Cherry blossom Erris

My companion and I were delighted with the warm welcome we received. It felt like we were being greeted by close friends. We had a wonderful dinner and good wine. The immaculate cleanliness is especially noteworthy. The hotel is very cozy. It's a convenient location for strolls down to the breathtaking oceanfront. The price-quality ratio is amazing.

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und das Bad sehr groß. Alles macht einen super neuen und gerade erst fertig gestellten Eindruck. Auch die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich. Das B&B liegt mitten im Nirgendwo und ohne Auto hat man keine Chance an Nahrungsmittel zu kommen, was man vorab wissen sollte. Man ist allerdings direkt am Startpunkt der vier Carrowteige loop walks, die sich sehr gut wandern lassen.

Da es sich hier um ein self Catering B&B handelt, hätten wir uns einen Gemeinschaftsraum mit Sitzgelegenheiten, Tischen und Besteck gewünscht. Man könnte natürlich auch auf jedes Zimmer einen kleinen Tisch und zwei Stühle stellen, da es sonst heißt: essen im Bett. Alles wirkt super neu, daher weiß ich nicht genau ob manche meiner "Kritikpunkte" noch in Planung sind, aber im Badezimmer haben wir vorallem Steckdosen und Handtuchhalter zum trocknen der benutzten Handtücher vermisst.

The place was very clean & tidy, it even smelled of cookies. The hosts were very easy-going, genuine & helpful people, and we had a good chat with them. We enjoyed having tea and coffee amenities in the room. They had two very friendly dogs.

After a warm initial greeting, we never saw hostess again during our 3 day stay (so no top-up of milk etc); we assumed that we were not entitled to use host's lounge/kitchen etc. Nearest hot food 3 miles away and not open every day - no facilities for preparing food provided at house. Although it looked beautiful, accommodation lacked details such as a mirror in bedroom or anywhere comfy to sit, no hooks/shaver-point in bathroom, no shelf in shower etc.

L'hôte ne sert pas de breakfast, le seul restaurant est assez loin de l'hébergement ,cela semblerait normal d'avoir un petit-déjeuner avant de reprendre la route, en raison du prix....De plus , salle de bains partagée entre plusieurs chambres....pas notre meilleur souvenir durant nos 2 semaines de vacances....

The place is remote but the house is superb

They don't serve breakfast, they force you to be there very early It looks like it's the lady who runs the place and no one else knows anything, when she is not there We had a misunderstanding with the room we booked and the land lady was almost rude with her answer I li e this part of the world but i am not going to come back to the place

Good sized room w/ huge bathroom. Very quiet setting. Would have been great for star gazing if no clouds. Newer Construction.

There was no orientation from staff. It was unclear if we could use the kitchen for our own meal prep. (The family lives downstairs and guest rooms were upstairs.) Signage was weak. Car GPS got me close, but only Google maps on my phone got me down to the choice between two houses.

Located in a beautiful and unspoilt part of Ireland that's well worth a visit. The host was so warm and friendly when we arrived. So helpful. The rooms were of a very high standard. Jacuzzi available for use in one of the bathrooms. Highly recommended staying here and excellent value.

It clearly states that there is no breakfast but our host still made us homemade scones and fresh coffee before leaving. Couldn't faulty my stay here. With a party of 4 and they were all very impressed.

The only issue really is location and local facilities. We were unfortunate in that the local shop was closed (bereavement) it was a Saturday when we arrived with the local cafe not opening until 11 on Sunday morning. Something to be mindful of when booking.

The house was very clean.

The house was listed as a B&B but there was NO BREAKFAST. We did not find this out until next morning when the landlady knocked on our door. It was listed as having a mountain view but it was an attic room and we could only see the sky. It was difficult to locate the property because there was no signs. The eircode took us to a school, the property was high on a hill behind the school. I called the landlady for directions but she did not answer her phone or call me back as I asked her to. After knocking on neighbouring properties we eventually found the property. We were told by the husband that breakfast was available up to 12.00 pm.

Excellent location for exploring the coastal cliffs of north Mayo. Just a few minutes walk to the trailhead in Carrowteige leading to Benwee Head. Lovely big comfy room in very large home. Coffee and tea making facilities.

No breakfast option on property, though the breakfast at the restaurant the landlady recommended a 5-minute drive away was good.

The hosts were so friendly and relaxed it made our stay so enjoyable and comfortable. They gave us recommendations to eat down the road in a cafe that stayed open until late and we had a drink in the local pub which was a great experience and the landlady was very welcoming. Cherry Blossom is spotless! And with ample parking. It is a rural location but idilic. Thank you! Beth and Luke (the motorbikers 😃) Great spot for the Wild Atlantic Way! The photographs don't do the B&B justice.
