The Cinnamon Cottage

Very tranquil spot right by the lake. We went kayaking at sunrise and it was magical.

Mi è piaciuto tutto. Il cottage molto curato e di effetto, in mezzo alla natura lontano dalle vie principali, con affaccio sulla laguna. Ho sempre usato la bicicletta messa a disposizione per gli ospiti. Ho cenato sempre presso la struttura dell'ottimo cibo. Ho fatto anche un massaggio ayuverdico , molto apprezzato. Mi hanno aiutato per qualsiasi cosa e info mi servisse. Non potevodesiderare di più!

I would give more than a ten if I could! Amazing family, beautiful location, quiet. Kayaking on the lake, listening to the birds, nice conversations with the owners.

The venue is beautifully located. we went kayaking and spent time watching the moon by the riverside, which was a lovely experience. Sanjaya and his wife Bhodhini were warm, friendly, and welcoming. We had a wonderful time there

The staff was helpfull and friendly, they gave me ideas about what i could do nearby. Also I had the feeling to be at home and welcome.

There where a few mosquitos in the garden, but my 2nd floor room with airco it was no problem at all. Slept like a baby 🥰

Amazing property and the owner and his family are super nice and helpful! We absolutely loved kayaking! One of the best places I have visited in Sri Lanka. It can be a bit rustic to some people's liking.

Sanjaya is so nice! a few days before the stay, I contacted him to know more on how to get to his place. He said he will try his best to pick us up from train station if he is available, and he really made it! He shared a lot about Geoffrey Bawa and the stay at his place are so sweet and cozy!

It was fantastic

The family were soooo welcoming and helped us in so many ways. Sanjaya and Bodhini spoke excellent English and looked after our every need - from guidance on places to visit, canoeing instruction and of course lovely food. Sanjaya’s mother, Shanti, gave a wonderful massage at a low price and was always smiling - so typical of Sri Lankan people. It is worth visiting the beautiful garden and hone of Lungugama 5 mins by bike.
