We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better stay at Whale Shark Boutique. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome and looked after by Silva and his incredible team. This guest house has such a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, and the location is absolutely perfect for exploring South Ari Atoll. The whole experience felt so personal and genuine, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. The highlight, without a doubt, was the excursions. We came to the Maldives hoping to see whale sharks and manta rays, and we were incredibly lucky to experience both — memories that we genuinely will never forget. The bonus to the trips was that they were lead by Aquaman, AKA Maldivian Jason Mamoa, AKA Siraj 🔱🩵 legend! A special mention has to go to Tharuka, whose cooking was absolutely incredible. Every meal was so fresh, authentic and full of flavour, and honestly, everything he cooked was delicious. You could taste the care and passion that went into every dish, and some of our favourite memories from the stay were sitting down to enjoy his amazing food. Thank you, Tharuka, for feeding us so well! ❤️ Everyone here has been so kind, attentive and welcoming, and it’s the little things that really made the difference. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and we felt incredibly well looked after throughout our stay, Silva went above and beyond every day to make this trip special and we will be forever grateful 🙏 We’re genuinely sad to be leaving. Whale Shark Boutique has given us some of the most unforgettable memories of our trip, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxed and personal Maldivian experience. Nothing at all - it’s a small local island so anything more would take that feeling away of what it actually is.

I loved the remote location of the island where I could totally unwind. I also loved the nearby beaches, and the sandbar which was a great place to watch the sunset. The service was top-notch on every level and in every way. Nothing was too much for Silva and his team. The rooms were spotless and have been well thought out and designed. The food was great. The breakfast was amazing and I could not believe the dinners the young chef created each evening. I went on a two point snorkelling trip where the local guide (called Aquaman) insured I saw Manta rays (and lots of them) and an amazing hawksbill turtle. I give this Hotel an A++++ and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

There was nothing about the property that I did not like. It was all fantastic.

Vom Traumstrand über das freundlichste und aufmerksamste Hotelpersonal, das man sich vorstellen kann.Man fühlte sich rundum super wohl, da alles, aber auch wirklich alles getan wurde, das der Urlaub ein perfektes Erlebnis wurde. Herzlichkeit in allem, was getan wurde. Ein wunderschönes, sauberes Hotel mit sehr bequemen Betten, einer super schönen Aussicht, leckerem Essen und nur einen Katzensprung vom Strand entfernt. Besser und liebevoller kann man nicht aufgenommen werden. Einfach das Paradies ! Sehr gerne immer wieder.👍🏻

Great service, delicious food, and super clean rooms! But the real highlight was diving with Shiva—what a fantastic adventure. He’s an amazing guide and dive buddy who knows the sites inside out. He takes awesome photos and, most importantly, really prioritizes safety, always checking the currents and conditions beforehand.

🌴 Fenfushi Boutique Hotel – A Home Away from Home From the moment we arrived, Fenfushi Boutique Hotel felt like coming home. Every detail mattered, and the team’s genuine warmth made our stay unforgettable. The hotel, built in 2024, is stunning — eight modern double rooms and a two-bedroom penthouse with breathtaking ocean views. Our room overlooked the ocean, and a few minutes’ walk brought us to a serene beach with loungers, umbrellas, and soft mattresses. We even snorkeled on the house reef, spotting colorful fish and baby sharks! What truly sets this place apart is the people: Silva, the manager, is a remarkable host — welcoming, attentive, and full of local insights. He personally picked us up, shared fascinating stories about Fenfushi, and made us feel genuinely valued. Yugesh, the chef, crafted delicious meals, especially breakfast, and thoughtfully adapted dishes to our preferences. We loved chatting about his Sri Lankan roots. Camille, the polite and smiling waitress from Nepal, made every meal a delight. Shiva, our snorkeling guide, ensured our trip was perfectly planned and a complete success. Syti and the excursion crew kept us safe during water adventures, alongside the skilled boat captain. Housekeeping and support staff went above and beyond, decorating our room for our 25th anniversary, carrying our luggage, and personally seeing us off with warm smiles. Silva, Yugesh, Shiva, and Syti became more than staff — they became friends. The combination of modern, comfortable rooms, a beautiful beach, snorkeling opportunities, and, most importantly, the amazing people makes this hotel a magical place. We had the best time ever and wholeheartedly recommend Fenfushi Boutique Hotel. It’s a small paradise where every detail and every smile counts!

Wat a perfect stay, most of the times we had the whole beach to ourselves. Rooms clean, with a nice view. Beds very comfy We did the whaleshark and manta ray tour.. loved it!

Spędziłem w hotelu 9 dni. Bardzo dobre miejsce na wypoczynek, relaks i poza turystyką masową. Atutem jest profesjonalna baza nurkowa. Świetne nurkowania, w małych grupach. Do wyboru nurkowania w kanałach/kandu w dużym prądzie z hakami oraz na rafie do makro. Dużo rekinów rafowych, mant i eagle raya. Napoleny w dużych ilościach i rozmiarach jak 25 lat temu w morzu czerwonym.

Wir haben im März eine Woche in diesem schönen, kleinen Hotel verbracht und es sehr genossen. Silva war der perfekte Gastgeber. Er hat unseren Aufenthalt sehr entspannt gemacht, indem er Tickets für Inlandsflüge und Schnorchelausflüge organisiert hat. Er ist außerdem ein sehr freundlicher und lustiger Gastgeber :-) Das Hotel liegt nur wenige Schritte vom Strand entfernt. Die Ausstattung des Zimmers war sehr gut und das Bett für uns sehr bequem. WIr haben schon lange nicht mehr so gut in einem Hotel geschlafen.

Leider war das Essen sehr eintönig, da hätten wir uns mehr Abwechslung gewunschen. Weiters entspricht das Foto rund um das Hotel leider nicht mehr der Realität hier wurde März 2026 mit dem Bau von Privathäusern begonnen und die Grünfläche bis auf einige Palmen gerodet.

La pace , pochi turisti, tranquillità ; per noi italiani il cibo e’ discutibile e molto soggettivo, ma abbiamo mangiato bene.

Non c’è menù baby per chi fa la pensione completa; Il letto aggiuntivo non esiste se non a 60$+tax giorno, e la prenotazione per 3( 2 adulti + 1 bambino 4 anni) istruzioni per le speedboat. Non e’ chiaro il fatto che ci siamo trovati addebito per transfer”privato” da dighuran a Fenfushi. Pensavamo che fosse dentro la tariffa già pagata. Spiaggia bikini beach per turisti essendo l’unico hotel nelle vicinanze della stessa , 1 solo ombrellone, pochi lettini, spiaggia sporchissima. Rifiuti in ogni dove, e per noi tutto ciò e’ Assurdo. Almeno la sua parte di spiaggia potrebbe essere sicuramente più in ordine .

The island, the hotel, the rooms, and the staff are just amazing 🫶 they always have some nice words to us, they were helpful and kind all the time. The rooms were like new, clean, extra comfortable bed and bathroom. The beach is superclose and wonderful snorking place is also just 5 minutes. Sandbank and turtle reef tour were amazing experiences, definitely want to come back.

The meal selection and quality could be improved.

Il personale è attento ad ogni richiesta e sempre sorridente e disponibile. L'isola è molto piccola e permette di avere tutti i servizi nel raggio di 5 minuti a piedi. La struttura è nuova e moderna, i pasti sono di buon livello ed abbondanti. Consiglio le erscursioni per fare snorkeling con gli squali balena e le mante, merito delle guide preparate ed attente a preservare l'ecosistema.

L'isola è un piccolo paradiso, purtroppo una zona è stata sottoposta ad un disboscamento radicale, dovuto alla costruzione di nuove strutture. È stato un peccato aver dovuto assistere all'abbattimento di centinaia di palme e piante locali in soli pochi giorni ed è stato fastidioso il dover sopportare l'odore di bruciato che spesso raggiungeva i nostri balconi, ma che soprattutto riempiva i sentieri da percorrere per raggiungere le bikini beach.

The bed is very comfortable, the food are very nice too. The whole vibe is very chill and peaceful.

All the services they provide are incredibly excellent. All the staff look after you while you're staying. Very safe place. I don't like AC, so I opened the window while sleeping without any problems. When I arrived, I had a bit of a cough and the staff gave me some tea to help me recover. How sweet is that.

We had the most amazing time at Whale Shark Boutique in Fenfushi, where we stayed from 4 to 8 January 2026. The Maldives were originally just a side trip in our main journey, but this ended up being one of the most pleasantly surprising holiday experiences we’ve ever had. A huge shout-out to Silva, the manager, who was simply outstanding. He planned our stay perfectly and even saved the day when we had a last-minute issue with our seaplane. Honestly, without him our trip wouldn’t have been the same. The staff are kind and friendly, always smiling and ready to help. The hotel itself is modern, clean and comfortable, and being located on an inhabited island gave us a more authentic vibe compared to the influencer luxury resort bubble. We loved seeing real life around us, and the locals were very welcoming. The outings were the true highlight of our stay. Shiva, Sytte and the whole team took us on unforgettable snorkeling trips. We swam with manta rays and whale sharks, and it was simply breathtaking. If you’re looking for an authentic Maldives experience with incredible marine life, amazing people and a warm atmosphere, Whale Shark Boutique is the place to go. We will definitely come back!

We loved our stay here- Silva and the rest of the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and we had great excursions to see a variety of animals. The downstairs lounge was a beautiful place to relax and eat. Beach access is just a short walk and was scenic and not busy at all during our stay. Highly recommend!

We loved the Whale Shark Boutique Hotel. The room and view were amazing and the staff did everything they could to make our stay memorable. Transfer from Male was easy as was our transfer to our next island. Thank you everyone for a truly remarkable stay. Loved the night fishing and swimming with the Whale Sharks.

The only thing which we think could be improved is the choice of food on the menu. We are big fish eaters and we're surprised that reef fish has to be ordered in advance. I know that this is something the hotel is working on and should see big changes in the future

El hotel está muy próximo a la bikini beach, es nuevo y confortable con un personal atento a todos los detalles. Contratamos la excursión para ver al tiburón ballena y fue una experiencia increíble. Son pocas habitaciones, en la isla es el único hotel de estas características, por lo que prácticamente éramos los únicos turistas en la playa. Si buscas tranquilidad con buenos servicios es el lugar ideal. Todo genial, la habitación luminosa, limpia y confortable. El desayuno variado y de muy buena calidad. Repetiríamos la experiencia.

The stay was quite successful. This is the only hotel on the island. We were the only tourists in the hotel, just like on the beach :) It's a rarity, worth experiencing. The cuisine in the hotel is very good, although the selection is quite small. We had to wait a long time. The hotel is new and clean, with daily room cleaning. A volleyball tournament was held on the island, so in the evening you could watch matches and see the locals' life on the island. There is one bar on the island with decent food. In addition, there are two beaches on either side of the island with completely different water and seabeds. You can go snorkeling. A charming, though not very long, SandBank. Stay on the island for 3-4 days.

Hello. Stayed at this hotel in April 2025. Very nice, clean and new hotel. Very responsive staff that will help cool your vacation. I would like to make a special mention of the cook Yugesh. A very nice and talented guy who will cook everything just the way you want it. He will also answer your questions. Have a good vacation and pleasant impressions!

Weak internet on the floors.

Amazing hotel located just a few meters from the bikini beach, where you have sun beds and umbrellas provided by the hotel (free of charge). The building is new and very well equipped. Rooms are spacious, clean and beds are very comfortable. The hotel is finished with high quality materials. The food is delicious and the staff is really friendly and helpful. Unlimited cold drinking water is available for guests at the lobby. Hotel offers a variety of excursions with competitive pricing and also snorkeling equipment for rent. We spent here 9 days total and it was a great experience!

Rooms well planned, lobby/restaurant area nice tropical wibe. Small remote island but hotel keep you both well feed and a lots of tours available. The manager and his staff is very attentive and give their all for you to feel welcome.

My wife had an amazing stay, we can highly suggest this hotel. The staff are great, location is perfect with a "Tourist/Bikini" beach just nearby along with some nice reefs to snorkel. They also have loungers at the beach for you. Kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel gear is available for free as well. We did the Whale Shark excursion and the pricing was good. The whale sharks were amazing to see but be ready for some crowds. If you plan to stay on Fenfushi this is the best and only place you should look to stay at. If I had to give any negatives it would be the wifi and kitchen. Wifi in the rooms is iffy but in the lobby it was great. The kitchen staff is a bit slow even though you set a specific time to eat, but the food was great when it came out. Bring snacks as the island only has 1 little local shop and they dont have much. And the only place to eat is at the hotel so snacks are nice to have.

Whale Shark boutique is located in a quiet place, just 3 minutes by walk from bikini beach. Hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature, where lives a rich variety of local animals. We stayed in a cozy, well equipped room with nice seaview. Room is cleaned every day by willing cleaning personal. Breakfast is tasty and kitchen personal makes you always everything according to your wishes. For a lunch/dinner, you can choose from rich food menu and every dish is really tasty prepared by a young, gifted cook Yugesh. We have really enjoyed our stay in this accomodation and are very thankful for everything, what its friendly hotel personal made for us. It was incredible, well spent holiday, which stays forever in our thoughts❤️
