Maktub Desert Luxury Camp

Ho prenotato e subito dopo disdetto. Perché? Semplice, non c'è alcuna trasparenza. Ti offrono una notte con cena ad un prezzo ragionevole ma non ti dicono che per raggiungere l'accampamento devono venirti a prendere loro facendoti pagare € 70 a persona. Assurdo. E fanno più o meno tutti così. Non sai mai prima quando ti costerà il transfer. Aggiungo una cosa gravissima. Subito dopo aver inviato i punteggi a booking, il gestore mi ha mandato un messaggio gravissimo insultandomi con una brutta parola che non posso riportare qui.. Molto grave e vergognoso.

Il nostro soggiorno nel campo nel deserto è stato semplicemente magico. Fin dal nostro arrivo siamo stati accolti con grande gentilezza e ospitalità, facendoci sentire immediatamente a casa nel cuore del deserto. Le tende erano molto confortevoli, pulite e ben arredate, combinando perfettamente il fascino tradizionale con il comfort moderno. La vista delle dune dorate al tramonto era spettacolare e ha creato un’atmosfera davvero speciale. Una delle parti più belle dell’esperienza è stata la passeggiata con i cammelli tra le dune, seguita da una splendida serata sotto le stelle. Dopo una deliziosa cena tradizionale marocchina, abbiamo potuto ascoltare musica locale intorno al fuoco, rendendo la notte ancora più memorabile. Lo staff è stato incredibilmente attento, sempre pronto ad aiutare e a condividere la cultura e le tradizioni del deserto. La loro ospitalità ha reso questa esperienza ancora più autentica. Consigliamo vivamente questo campo nel deserto a chiunque desideri vivere un’avventura unica, circondato dalla bellezza della natura e dalla calorosa accoglienza marocchina. Sicuramente torneremo un giorno!

Unser Aufenthalt im Wüstencamp war einfach unvergesslich! Die Landschaft der Wüste ist atemberaubend und die Atmosphäre im Camp ist ruhig und magisch. Die Zelte sind sehr komfortabel, sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Personal ist unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und sorgt dafür, dass sich jeder Gast willkommen fühlt. Besonders beeindruckend war der Sonnenuntergang über den Dünen und die Nacht unter dem klaren Sternenhimmel. Das traditionelle Abendessen war köstlich und die Musik am Lagerfeuer hat den Abend perfekt gemacht. Dieses Wüstencamp ist der ideale Ort, um die Schönheit der Wüste zu erleben und sich gleichzeitig zu entspannen. Ich kann diesen Ort jedem empfehlen, der ein authentisches und besonderes Erlebnis sucht. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!”

Nocowanie na pustyni to była dla nas przygoda sama w sobie. Namioty były super wyposażone. Bardzo miły i uczynny personel. Chyba najsmaczniejsza kolacja, którą jedliśmy w Maroku.

Komunikacja z personelem od początku była jasna i precyzyjna, ale wolałbym już na początku wiedzieć co wchodzi w skład oferty, gdy dokonuję wyboru na Booking. Oprócz samego noclegu, kolacji i śniadania w ofercie jest transport do obozu jeepem oraz przejażdżka na wielbłądach, co jest płatne osobno. To wszystko było wspaniałym doświadczeniem, ale chciałbym aby to wszystko było powiedziane od samego początku.

Amazing place to stay .We had a wonderful time. I would definitely give it more stars. I 100% recommend this place. Top notch service, very tasty dinner and nice entertainment. Everyone was really nice to us, makes me and my family wants to revisit. Must do the 4X4 tour. The owner give us the full desert experience, no need to plan anything. Awesome camp.

The camel ride for sunset and sunrise was breathtaking, and the starry night offered a serene silence. The impeccable food and service were the perfect finishing touches. Go for it.

It was a unique and unforgettable experience!!! From the moment we arrived at the camp, we were greeted with soft drinks, almonds, dates... The night there was unforgettable, and the staff were excellent, offering us a campfire and singing typical songs from each visitor's country!! 😁

The whole experience is made of 2 parts : Staying at the camp ( dinner, bonfire, music , sleeping , breakfast) Transport from/to the parking to the camp (extra price) Now the transport to the camp can be by Camel, jeep, quad/ATV and represents the main cost of the whole experience. The program and description of transport could have been made more clear(where to meet , what to bring for a night in the desert, what time to arrive at the meeting point) since the beginning , giving in this way the customer the possibility to acknowledge the details way before the start of the trip. It is a bit disappointing to have a Cot for baby confirmed by the host by message and find out that nobody at the camp knows about and it cannot be provided.

The camp is beautiful, and the host Mohamed is amazingly friendly and has a permanent smile on his face. The other guys at the camp are also very nice and friendly, and are amazing musicians. We had a great night at the campfire with them full of music and fun conversations. Even though they repeat this every night with all the new guests, we felt they were very genuine and enjoyed being around tourists from all over the world. The tents are big, cozy and comfortable, and the showers work well (not late at night, but we were told in advance). The food served was some of the best we had during our 2 week stay in Morocco. We stayed 2 nights and decided not to book any tour, and we had a great day at the camp, playing games, walking in the dunes by sunrise and sunset, just chilling. I recommend to stay 2 nights as a minimum, to fully enjoy this magnificent place. Many tours take you for only 1 night, which is way too rushed for this place.

Overall a great experience. Staying in tents in the desert is awesome and the dunes are beautiful setting. The staff were helpful, accommodating and the food was good. We met Mohammed at a nearby hotel where we left the car and had a tea (extra charge).At the agreed time we were taken by jeep to meet the camels and rode them for about 90 mins to the top of a dune for sunset. After riding to the camp we enjoyed dinner in a dedicated dining tent and finally music around the fire until late.

I've done lots of camping and glamping over the years and this wasn't the 5 star camp we were expecting. Firstly the price quoted didn't include getting to the camp. Whether it was by camel or jeep we had to pay an extra 70 euros per head (although our son was free). The tent wasn't big and felt very cramped with 3 of us. Not a big issue but also not quite what we expected. The tent was unfortunately tatty. Inside was nicely decorated but the bathroom was made from pieces of riveted plastic. With rough holes smashed through for the pipes.

The desert experience is highly recommended, especially with such a friendly, fun and skilled staff you will find here. Transport to camp and all activities are to be paid separately, but they are totally worth the price. We had a all day tour in the desert with 4x4, you will see nomads, fossils, camels...Unforgettable. The quads are also very fun. Dinner was good. Room is very romantic and cozy, bathroom ok. Laying on the dunes at night and look at the start: priceless!

This camp is truly magical. The beds were incredibly cozy, providing the perfect retreat for the cool desert nights. What impressed us the most was the attention to detail and the camp's dedication to being self-sustainable.

We spent our time at the stunning ,the dunes was incredible. The camp's vibe, set against the beautiful desert scenery, felt like something out of a fairy tale. The team took great care of us, making sure we had everything we needed for a fantastic stay.

Mustafa and his group really made our trip an unforgettable one! Especially when we experienced the sand storm, his positive attitude gave us the hope and confidence. The activity arrangement is also very entertaining. We danced, sang, and guess riddles together and had a peaceful night in the dessert. When we were still worrying about not being able to see the Milky Way, he let us go to sleep first and informed us to watch the sky at late night, and we saw the beautiful stars! The second day, we rode camel and had a pleasant breakfast. The tent is also good for dessert, and they also have very delicious Tagine!

I think there are no words to describe the experience at Merzouga Family Camp. Truly unparalleled welcome and hospitality. Well-equipped tent and delicious dinner in the evening. After dinner around the fire listening to typical Berber songs, under a beautiful starry sky. I really recommend it!
