Reviewed Aug 1, 2024Family of 6 (3 adults, 3 kids) July 2024 We took a chance in staying at a place with no reviews and we are glad we did. We were the first guest to stay in this lovely home. You can see the great care and detail they put into making this property a second home away from home. We were greeted with a friendly warm welcome. The host really planned and thought of everything to make the stay enjoyable and comfortable. This place is a true gem! I wish we had more time in our schedule to stay and explore more of Belgium. We highly recommend this place and look forward to coming back someday when we are in the area. You won’t regret staying here for your next vacation. Things we liked: LOCATION +Location, location, location! When we were not relaxing at the beach, we were able to take trips via car to places nearby. Some great places to explore if time are Ghent (about 53 min), Antwerp (about 1hr 30min) Brussels (about 1hr 24min) and Bruges (about 39min). If you don’t want to drive, the train station is also nearby. +We loved that we were a short walk away from the beach. It was about a 6-7 minute easy walk. The area offers many restaurants and family friendly things to do. Also a grocery store to grab a few things if needed. COMFORT +The beds were comfortable +Nice patio and back yard to relax +The entire home was nice and peaceful SPACE +Plenty of space for everyone. We are 6 people (3 adults, 3 kids) and fit comfortably with more room to spare +Plenty of room for our luggage +plenty of beds and bedrooms for everyone PARKING +Private parking, no need to drive to another location for parking. This was a big plus for us, since we are a large family with many bags. EXTRAS +Washer and dryer + Iron and ironing board +Kitchen fully equipped with everything needed to cook +All the cleaning supplies needed to clean up after yourself (vacuum cleaners, mops, broom, dust pan, etc.
Things we disliked: -We didn’t stay long enough A few Suggestions: -add a shower head to the bath tub, so there are two possible areas to shower, because right now you can only shower in one and bathe in the other. -Add long view mirrors -Maybe add shades to block out the light. This was not a problem for us, but maybe for others it might be if they are wanting to sleep in.
