Reviewed Sep 2, 2026Bellissima Hall con bar aperto fino alle 22.00. Ottimo parcheggio per auto gratuito. Frigo bar con birra, bibite e acqua comprese nel prezzo. Balcone largo con vista montagne. Dista 1 ora e mezza da Monaco di Baviera, quindi comodo.
Luce in camera molto bassa, dovrebbero mettere lampadine più luminose. Struttura un pò datata, mobili antichi. Moquette nelle stanze.

In primo luogo, abbiamo prenotato ad un prezzo e, invece, in albergo, ci hanno fatto pagare 150 euro in più per la matrimoniale e 70 per la singola, dicendo che la prenotazione era stata fatta su Booking e non con loro direttamente. Inoltre, il personale presente in reception è stato molto scortese.

Reviewed Aug 25, 2026Das Zimmer war wirklich sehr schön. Es hat alles gepasst. Ich hatte sogar eine tolle, halbrunde Badewanne und habe diese auch nach einer Wanderung genutzt! Bei der Ankunft wurde meinem Wunsch nach einem Aperol direkt Folge geleistet und ich bekam diesen auf der schönen Terrasse serviert, während ich auf mein Zimmer gewartet habe!
-Es gab nichts!

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing and did not justify the relatively high price we paid. The booking stated “1 parking spot” under Included Extras, but the hotel told us on arrival that they do not reserve parking spaces. We are still following this up with Booking.com. The Wi-Fi was practically unusable, especially in the room. The hotel felt old and worn and looked significantly different from the photos online. The bathroom had very low water pressure and unstable shower temperature. Despite reporting these issues several times, we were repeatedly told the Hausmeister would come, but nobody came during our three-day stay. The overall atmosphere and service were also not particularly welcoming. The location was the main positive point. Considering the price, the overall quality and service were simply not good value for money. We would not choose this hotel again.

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Ligging is top Toffe sauna met waterbedden in de rustruimte. Ontbijt is prima, al mag het van mij wel eens variëren. Gratis minibar die dagelijks wordt aangevuld.
Mijn vrouw dronk ‘s avonds nog iets op terras van de bar. De zaalmedewerker kon het niet bolwerken en verloor bij momenten de klantvriendelijkheid. Pas toen de medewerker wat hulp kreeg, verbeterde het. Diezelfde zaalmedewerker was de dagen voordien overigens top! Het management mag dat (werkdruk) beter managen. We hadden ook op een bepaald moment geen parking bij het hotel. We zijn dan betaald gaan parkeren in de buurt.

The room was outdated. Style is a personal thing of course but it was just a bit run down. The room window did not open, only the door did. The bathroom smelled mouldy. Not clear if the extractor fan worked at all. The man at reception was not at all welcoming and verged on rude. It was very hot, difficult to ventilate the room, told no fan available - then suddenly a fan was available - it was as though the man didn't want to provide one when he knew he had them available! Not very good value for money.

Reviewed Aug 15, 2026The pool was lovely on the very warm days. Beautiful atmosphere looking onto the mountains. Well maintained pool. The location of the hotel is wonderful. Appreciate that breakfast and parking was included in our room price.
When we arrived our room was not ready, we had to wait till 16:30 for the room to be ready. The pillows are very soft. No aircon in the rooms. The bar fridge is not cold or even cool. The rooms and hotel dated and needs a little revamp. There is also a bad smell in the passage area where our room was situated. The hotel welcomes international guests but no signs or notices are in English.

Guest Wi-fi (WLAN) was unsecured. For an upmarket hotel, this is very unacceptable nowadays. Most people use banking apps or make payments/bookings when on holiday. Public Wi-fi is very risky and leaves users open to scammers and hackers.

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026The manger was really nice when we checked in. We were traveling with our teenage daughter and I liked that the family room was so spacious. She had a bed an area all to herself. The breakfast was fabulous and ran as late as 10:30. We appreciated that!
The rooms were nice but the hallways and lobby areas all felt a bit tired, old and dusty. For the price I paid I would pick something a little nicer next time around.

Wenn man die Kuh melkt, bis sie keine Milch mehr gibt - dann hat man dieses Resultat. Dass Hotelbesitzer nicht verstehen, dass man mit dem Tag der Öffnung investieren muss, um die Qualität dauerhaft zu sichern. Reformstau ist in diesem Hotel überall ersichtlich - innen wie außen. Teppichböden aus viktorianischer Zeit, abgewohnte Möbel und ein verstaubtes Flair . Der ganze Eingangsbereich im Stil der 60er Jahre - dunkel - das Spa habe ich erst gar nicht aufgesucht - die TEMU Plastiksteine an den Wänden haben mich gleich abgeschreckt.

Vi stannade 6 nätter och hade en fantastiskt trevlig vistelse på hotellet som låg nära till allt. Bra utgångsläge för dagsvandringar. Rekommenderar.
Om inte vi haft egen fläkt med oss hade vistelsen varit olidlig. Varken AC eller fläkt på rummet. Trångt i badrummet. Väldigt dålig belysning i rummet.

Reviewed Jul 14, 2026Die Lage war hervorragend. Auch der Empfang und der Service waren sehr gut. Den Spabereich, Saune , Ruhebereich fand ich großartig und habe ich sehr genossen. Auch das Frühstück und das Abendessen waren qualitativ sehr gut und besonders lecker.
Das Zimmer war sauber, sehr schön gestaltet und groß genug, allerdings war der Ausblick auf den Abzug der Küche, so dass ich den Küchengeruch bei geöffnetem Fenster im Zimmer hatte.

Der ausgefallene Fahrstuhl konnte in den Tagen unseres Aufenthalts leider nicht repariert werden. Die Herren an der Rezeption wirkten etwas herablassend. Das Badezimmer war ausgesprochen klein im Verhältnis zur Zimmergröße. Der Balkon war von der Seite her einsehbar.

Een waterkoker met wat theezakjes zou fijn zijn. En het is best een luxe hotel en dan zou je een airco verwachten, want het wordt zomers alleen maar warmer.

Reviewed Jun 30, 2026The Post Hotel is a very famous large hotel dating back to the 1900s or earlier, in a central location in Mittenwald. My double-bedroom/single occupancy was charming with a wooden balcony and a fantastic view over the Karwendel range and the town. The welcome was great, breakfast choice is excellent and I dined in the restaurant once (it's mostly traditional Bavarian menu). All the staff are courteous and speak English. There's a lovely outdoor garden for evening drinks with fantastic views of the Alpine glow on the Karwendel mountains at sunset. I didn't try the pool and spa but many other residents were doing so. In summer the car park can fill up quickly and I arrived too late but there's a free overnight car park within walking distance and I managed to find a space in the hotel early next morning.
It seems unfair to make any criticisms of such a lovely well-run hotel. On occasion the WiFi was very slow.

Het ontbijt. Het smaakte goed, maar het werd heel slecht bijgevuld. Broodjes, kaas, yoghurt, fruit, we moesten er steeds naar vragen. De natuur yoghurt was op en dit om 08.30 uur s morgens al.

Reviewed Jun 18, 2026The hotel is located in a cute town where we just spent one night. The hotel was in a great location, although parking is a bit of an issue. We ended up parking in a lot across from the visitor's center. Staff was helpful and friendly and there was an indoor pool and spa available on the property.
Parking was the only issue at this hotel. Some spots for cars, but definitely not enough for all of the guests.

Das Zimmer wegen unangenehmen Geruch, sehr kleines nicht gut beleuchtetes Bad...war wohl eines der älteren Zimmer.
