Akra Grammeno Beachfront Villas

Excellent property in the small village of Grammeno, approximately a 10-minute drive from Paleochora. The villa is spacious, with a lovely view towards the sea, and is just a few minutes’ walk from a pebble beach and approximately 10 minutes from a sandy beach. The villa had all the facilities we needed, including a small pool that was regularly cleaned. There are also a few excellent restaurants within walking distance. Overall, it’s a really lovely and peaceful place to relax and enjoy time with the family. We would definitely consider coming back again.

It can be a bit windy at times, so it’s better to head to the sandy beach, as it is more sheltered. For the pebble beach, swimming shoes are useful, but not essential.

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal hier - und bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal. Diese Apartments sind einfach wunderbar gelegen. Wer Ruhe sucht und kurzen Weg zu Sand-und Steinstrand ist hier genau richtig. Die Apartments selbst haben alle einen kleinen Pool und dank der Hecken zwischen den Häusern ist die Privatsphäre auch gut gegeben.

Posizione eccezionale, accanto un paesino Palaiochora che si è rivelato il più bello di tutta Creta Ovest a 3 minuti di auto, davvero impagabile. 10 giorni in questo loft sono stati la scelta giusta ed avere lo spazio esterno con piscina durante le giornate di vento che rendono difficile stare in spiaggia è stato davvero un lusso. A piedi sulla destra si raggiunge uno stabilimento con sabbia davvero bello e suggestivo...e per gusto personale il mare di Grammeno è migliore di Balos ed Elafonisi. Svegliarsi la mattina e godere dell'alba sul mare non ha prezzo, lontano dai rumori e da tutto. Se siete una coppia chiedete l'appartamento Roume! Vista fronte mare, riparato dai forti venti e meno visibile dalle persone di passaggio.

Non sono critiche ma solo consigli! Manca una zanzariera alla porta del bagno, il parcheggio auto potrebbe essere facilmente coperto, fornitura cucina sotto le aspettative, il forno non siamo riusciti a farlo funzionare ma forse siamo noi.

La situation de la villa est très pratique à proximité de deux plages. La villa est agencée avec beaucoup de goût et très confortable permettant de beaux moments en famille autour de la piscine après avoir visité la région.

C'était vraiment incroyable ! Logement avec toutes les commodités dans le moindre détail. Déco soignée, d'une propreté irréprochable. Avons passé 6 jours au paradis avec nos 2 ados. Les photos sont en adéquation avec la réalité !

Soggiorno davvero fantastico! Abbiamo adorato questa casa: confortevole, curata, accogliente e dotata davvero di tutto ciò che può servire durante il soggiorno. Per me era molto importante anche la connessione internet, perché ho dovuto lavorare da remoto durante alcuni giorni, e il Wi-Fi è stato eccellente, veloce e stabile, cosa che ho apprezzato tantissimo. Bellissima anche la piscina, perfetta per rilassarsi, e abbiamo trovato davvero carino il piccolo benvenuto che ci aspettava al nostro arrivo. Si nota una grande attenzione verso gli ospiti anche nei dettagli: c’erano le pastiglie per la lavastoviglie e per la lavatrice e, in generale, ogni piccola cosa di cui si potesse avere bisogno. Sono attenzioni che fanno davvero la differenza e ti fanno sentire subito a casa. Anche la posizione è ottima: Paleochora è vicina ed è un paese fantastico, piacevole e vivace, con un mare bellissimo e splendide spiagge nei dintorni. È stato uno dei soggiorni che abbiamo apprezzato di più a Creta. Ci siamo sentiti benissimo e tornerei qui senza alcun dubbio. Assolutamente consigliato! ❤️

Unico piccolo suggerimento riguarda la dotazione della cucina: avremmo apprezzato qualche padella in più e dei coltelli più affilati. Con qualche utensile aggiuntivo la cucina sarebbe davvero completa, soprattutto per chi desidera cucinare spesso durante il soggiorno.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans cette belle villa à Paleochora. Une très belle surprise : la villa est moderne, magnifique, parfaitement aménagée et dispose de deux grandes chambres très confortables. Le véritable atout est également son emplacement : à seulement 2 minutes à pied des plages, tout en offrant un cadre agréable et paisible. Et quel bonheur de pouvoir profiter de la piscine après une journée à découvrir les environs ! Tout était réuni pour passer un séjour parfait : confort, modernité, propreté, calme et proximité de la mer. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le charme de cette villa et nous nous y sommes sentis immédiatement très bien. Une adresse que nous recommandons vivement pour découvrir Paleochora et profiter pleinement de la Crète. Nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

The property exceeded our expectations. The location, undiscovered by many, makes it incredibly intimate, and the surrounding area boasts two beaches, one rocky and one sandy. The attention and availability of frequent cleaning service were excellent. The owner was always available for constant contact. The pool made our stay even more enjoyable. The air conditioning was very efficient. All amenities included a washing machine, dishwasher, and oven. The surrounding vegetation was lush and provided privacy. Parking was provided. Literally, everything was well thought out and elegantly executed. I hope the standard remains high. It's worth the effort to get there. Excellent value for money.

We stayed for our honeymoon and it was perfect. Amazing villa, pool and location by the sea. Quiet area and even though we stayed at half term it wasn’t too noisy with children next door. So well designed with private pool and wild flowers surrounding it. Highly recommended.

The house, pool, view and facilities were amazing - we couldn’t have asked for more. The beds were really comfortable, the outside area brilliant and we use it from sunrise to beyond sunset. The pool was a good size although the sea is steps away from the house. The house was modern, well furnished and spotless. Kitchen was good but with taverns close by we didn’t really cook.

Tolle ruhige Lage, zwei schöne Strände direkt vor der Tür (Kies- und Sandstrand), eigener Pool mit tollem Weitblick, super nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, vernünftige Ausstattung, gemütliches Bett, allgemein sehr geräumiges und modernes Häuschen mit genügend Privatsphäre. Wir würden definitiv wiederkommen! <3

Das einzige, was mir nicht ganz so gefallen hat, war, dass die Dusche keine Duschabtrennung hat und dadurch der Boden im Bad immer nass war. Vielleicht könnte der Gastgebereinen Wischer oder Abzieher bereitstellen, damit man den Boden nach dem Duschen kurz überwischen/trocknen kann. Aber diese Kleinigkeit hat unseren Aufenthalt kein Stück schlechter gemacht!

The villas are beautifully located close to the beach and just a few kilometres from the stunning (naturist) beaches near Paleochora. There is a restaurant, a bakery, and a mini market nearby, while a wider selection of shops and restaurants can be found a few kilometres away in Paleochora. The staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and we were even allowed to check in early. The villa, including the bathroom and kitchen, is modern, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything you might need. The beds are comfortable, and towels are provided for both the pool and the beach. The private pool is lovely, with sun loungers and a large covered terrace. The garden is beautiful and very well maintained. One thing to keep in mind is that this is not an adults-only property. If the neighbouring villas are occupied by families with children or by smokers, your experience may be less peaceful. We stayed in Villa Rouma, which in our opinion has the best location.

Wunderschönes Haus in ruhiger Bucht, tolle und nicht touristische Lage, Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin Katerina verlief total unkompliziert und super schnell. Der Pool wurde jeden Tag gereinigt und auch Maria, die sich um die Häuser vor Ort kümmert, war fast jeden Tag mit frischen Handtüchern und guten Tipps zur Stelle....

Not as much privacy for 2 couples as I expected - it’s open plan and bedrooms have no doors - great for families

Für den Preis dieser Unterkunft könnze man einen Parkplatz mit Schatten erwarten. Der Pool war ziemlich schmutzig. Und es gab jede Menge Ameisen.

L’emplacement, le calme, l’aspect très relaxe de la décoration. On se sent bien à cet endroit.

Le manque d’équipement dans la cuisine mais on s’est quand même débrouillés.

Katerina and Maria were really excellent, they take such good care. We had some issue with one noisy neighbour (none of it the owners fault, of course; it just can happen) but Katerina acted extremely swift, made a change of bungalow possible on very short notice and all was good. The welcome package in the fridge is very thoughtful. Nearby Palechora was laid back and easy to reach, with plenty of restaurants. The garden and plants are beautiful and add much to the atmosphere.

We don't give a 10 out f 10 as we had noise from building works close by and also more noise from the street than we had anticipated. This should be only temporary. Otherwise all is lovely, in a peaceful location with wonderful views.

Wir waren das 2. Mal dort. Das sagt eigentlich alles, Es ist ein Paradies der Ruhe direkt am Meer. Ich bin jeden Morgen die Paar Schritte zum Strand gelaufen, um meinen Kaffee am Strand zu trinken, einfach schön. Es ist ruhig und man findet im Haus alles, was man braucht. Die Küchenzeile ist gut ausgestattet und es gibt ein Welcome-Paket. Supermärkte sind schnell mit dem Auto erreicht, ca. 4-5- Minuten und in Paleochora findet man alles was man braucht. Würde jederzeit wiederkommen.

Alles bestens. Das Gute ist, man hat immer eine Ansprechperson, die sofort reagiert und sich kümmert, von daher gibt es wirklich nichts zu beanstanden.

Stylisch eingerichtet und grosszügig geschnitten. Unser Highlight war die Terrasse mit Pool und der Blick in die unverbaute Natur. Die Gartenanlage ist sehr schön und es gibt einen Sichtschutz zu den angrenzenden Terrassen.

Man ist zwar umgeben von Natur, hört aber tagsüber Strassen- und Baulärm und abends bellende Hunde. Im April hat in der Umgebung kein Restaurant geöffnet und zum nächsten Supermarkt gibt es keinen Gehweg, d.h. man muss überall mit dem Auto hinfahren. War für uns nicht schlimm, ist aber vielleicht hilfreich zu wissen.

This was a wonderful place to stay for 5 nights. The view of the water, private swimming pool, lovely apartment with useable kitchen all made for a very comfortable and enjoyable experience. The beaches (both rock and sand) are an easy 3 min walk away. The handmade items were unique and delightful. The host was friendly and responsive. Paleochora is a short drive away.

The pool although the weather was so bad we didn’t use it. The nearby beach. The modern and carefully thought out interior. The staff and service were excellent.

The floor of the shower room did not dry so we had to take our socks off every time we went to the loo.

Amazing property! We stayed here in November, the villa provided wind protection and sun so we enjoyed some lovely days. There are beautiful beaches to explore and a short drive into town. The hosts are friendly and generous, they even upgraded our villa since we were the only people there. Highly recommend!

Snyggaste stället! Allt väl genomtänkt o snyggt ner i minsta detalj. Finns både diskmaskin o tvättmaskin. Lyxigt med egen pool. Bara äng innan stranden, stenstrand rakt nedanför men sand runt hörnet. Underbart. Generöst med tillgång både till strand och pool och duschhanddukar.

Sängarna hade behövt en bäddmadrass. Men för att vara grekisk så är det hög standard.

La villa est extrêmement bien équipée (four, lave vaisselle, machine à laver), bien décorée (l’espace extérieur est parfaitement aménagé) et la literie très confortable ! La piscine est un plus bien que nous nous sommes surtout baignés aux plages situées à cent mètres (une de sable et une de galet) et très proche de Paleochora (5min en voiture). Cet endroit est vraiment parfait pour le repos et la tranquillité ! Merci à Katerina pour les conseils donnés par ses messages (avec beaucoup d'humour !!!). Egalement un grand merci à Maria pour ses visites quotidiennes et sa grande disponibilité. Un super séjour avec notre famille (4 adultes et 2 enfants). Tous sont ravis de leur séjour.

Bien préciser qu'en cas de nuages persistants il faut actionner un interrupteur pour avoir de l'eau chaude. Les panneaux solaires préfèrent le soleil !!! Mais c'est un détail, l'eau froide est bonne pour le corps !!!!!!!

Amazing oasis of calm. The blue flag beach just in front of the property is quiet and gorgeous. The villa is perfect!

Tolle Lage. Super Service. Sehr sauber. Putz- sowie Handtuch- und mehrfachere Müllwechsel top. Nette Gastgeber. Bei Wünschen und Fragen immer kurzfristig zu erreichen. Organisation war sehr 👍.

Für 2 Paare ist der Bungalow für 4 Personen - unseres Erachtens nach - nicht geeignet. Zwar gibt es die obere Etage mit dem großen Raum, der die Küche, die Sitzgelegenheit und das Doppelbett mit separatem Badezimmer mit Blick auf die Terrasse und Pool bietet, das 2. Zimmer befindet sich aber im Souterrain und hat ebenfalls ein eigenes Bad. Beide Paare haben keine Privatsphäre, da die beiden Zimmer durch eine Wendeltreppe verbunden sind, aber nicht separiert werden können (durch eine Schiebtür, Vorhang etc.).

Die Lage.

Das Poolwasser hat unangenehm gerochen. So das wir diesen nicht genutzt haben.

Had a great stay at Akra Grammeno! Just a few steps from the beach, and a few minutes drive from Palaiochora and other nearby beautiful beaches. The room exceeded our expectations :) Highly recommended.

Es war einfach traumhaft! Zwei wirklich schöne Strände, tolle Taverne (in unmittelbarer Nähe) und die Unterkunft ist einfach wunderschön! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Nous avons passées nos 2 dernières nuits en Crète dans cet endroit exceptionnel ! La villa est extrêmement bien équipée (four, lave vaisselle, machine à laver), bien décorée (l’espace extérieur est parfaitement aménagé) et la literie très confortable ! La piscine est suffisamment grande et profonde (et exposée au soleil quasi toute la journée). Les villas sont situées à quelques pas de deux superbes plages (une de sable et une de galet) et très proche de Paleochora (5min en voiture) et 2/3 tavernes accessibles à pied! Bref cet endroit est vraiment parfait pour le repos et la tranquillité ! Nous reviendrons sans doute !

La salle de bain : trop petite, et aucun rangement, ni même espace pour poser la trousse de toilette! Toilette bas, douche collée au toilette, et seulement un évier Nous comprenons évidement l’agencement, car elle était adapté PMR, et nous trouvons ça super. Pour le standing et le prix de la villa, nous aurions juste aimé être prévenu ou au moins la voir sur les photos lors de la réservation pour éviter une petite déception lors de notre arrivée!

Wir haben uns unglaublich wohl und durch die Gastgeberin gut betreut gefühlt. Wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit mit eigenem Pool und ganz viel Ruhe in wunderschönen Umgebung. Nur 5 Minuten mit dem Auto von der Unterkunft gibt es einen ganz süßen Ort mit allem, was man braucht.

A quite private space with own pool. 2 floors with 2 bedrooms. Clean and cozy. 1 minute to the stone beach. Very friendly staff, they even organised birthday decorations

The peace offering the place. The house was functional and furnished with taste.

Nothing on particular. The only issue sometimes there was electrical short cuts but this was not depending on the house but to the network.

The location is breathtaking and close to all amenities, the property itself has been done to a very high standard and instantly makes you feel comfortable, the space is Perfect for family’s or couples. We didn’t want to leave.

Spacious, stylish and very comfortable and clean. The gardens around the villas are also beautiful. The terrace and pool is good size and feels private. Katerina was the perfect host 😃The location is perfect. So many good options for dinner in town and great lunch at Ammos beach bar. Will return.

Fantastic villa beautiful

Hot water initially struggled to come through.

Privacy of a villa but with excellent hotel servicing. Towels and beach towels replaced every 2 days. All toiletries supplied. Bedding changed every 4 days. Pool cleaned and tested regularly. Well equipped and in a beautiful location. A great get away from it all holiday.

The villa was great and a great place to relax with its own pool and a 2 minute walk to a quiet sandy beach with a couple of beach bars for handy refreshments.

The location is far from a lot of the main tourist spots but lots of nice beaches to visit and boat trips. We didn’t mind as we wanted a relaxing holiday so it was perfect for what we wanted.

It’s a beautiful apartment with a lovely backyard and close to the beach. The beds were big and comfortable, and the downstairs was so spacious. It was really quiet and relaxing. Katerina and Maria were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed going to the nearby sandy bay each day!

Something minor - the pool is too deep to stand.

It's the perfect place for a relaxed getaway. The Greek island holidays you remember are available here... The villa is so well thought out...views over the sea, the angles of the building and pool locations maximise the sunshine... Really quiet location on the Island but you're 5 minutes drive from town which offers multiple supermarkets and importantly, an excellent family run bakery (Vakakis Family) which is worth a number of visits

The AGB villas are very conveniently located, walking distance to two very different beaches (pebbles on one side, sand on the other) and a very "local" tavern with lovely staff and customers. Sunbeds and parasol are €10 per day, crystal clear water and simple, great food meters away. It is also a short drive away from other incredible small beaches (Kryos). The villas are very well equipped, furnished with great taste, have a comfy and large bed and a very relaxing outdoor space for breakfast, lunches, drinks, dinners ...

To give a touch more privacy I would extend the outdoor side bamboo walls by a meter or just better box the external shower

Perfectly situated close to two beaches back to back and very different - a great pool to start and end the day with and facilities to eat at home or grab a quick poolside snack. Highly appointed and really well decorated.

Noise from neighbours was at times a bit unthinking but this isn’t the owners fault. Did feel like guests were visiting and being less than neighbourly.

Beautiful house, very well decorated. Maria, Stelios and Katerina will for sure make everything possible to make the stay unforgettable.

Fantastic stay, everything was great! All amenities, the beach just steps away, and a village very close by. Highly recommended, 5 stars, the best option to stay in southern Crete!

It was comfortable and very clean. Access to the beach was great. A very well thought out designed property.

Unfortunately everything is only accessible by car, and the closest town Paleochora is very busy and congested nowhere to park.

Oh my god, BEST STAY EVER. This place felt like the absolute lap of luxury. Very tasteful decor, extremely comfortable bed, ambient lighting, well stocked kitchen,.comfortable sofa, washing machine, dishwasher and huge TV (not that we spent much time inside!). Lovely staff - Maria was so welcoming and checked in on us throughout the stay. Contact with Katerina was very easy and she responded very quickly. We had a bottle of wine, cheese and snacks to welcome us. The pool and outside lounge area was just perfect. Katerina was so helpful and obliging, allowing us an early check in and very late check out (when we couldn't bear to leave!). The nearby beaches are very handy, not the best we have been to in Greece but close by and clean, with lovely clear water and not too windy. About 5-10mins drive to Paleochora so would be best to have a rental car. Paleochora itself is a lovely town with lots of choices to eat and drink, as well as a lovely beach and very friendly people. We absolutely loved our stay and can't wait to come back again someday!

My wife and I had an amazing time in the Akra Grammeno Villas. The place is located in a very beautiful place near Palaichora. The apartments are big, very well maintained, very clean, with new equipment and decorated with great taste. The host Katerina with the help of Kiki did everything possible to help us and make our stay perfect. We will come back there for sure!

The location of the villas is outstanding - just 300m from sand and stone beaches that were not really crowded in the end of September. The place is a modern, cozy, well-equipped with everything you need for your comfortable stay. The owner Katerina was super sweet and helpful. My wife an I will definitely have the best memories because of this place. We would definitely come back here again.

An amazing place, a minute to the beach. Well appointed with a great kitchen. Very comfortable, great terrace dining. Attentive hosts. Lots of food supplies and welcome goodies. All as advertised. Team went out of their way to greet us.

Self check-in would be useful. We had building work going on for a couple of days-this was accompanied by many apologies but somehow not foreseen.

Katerina has created this beautiful set of apartments with love, passion and excellent attention to detail throughout. From the massive, super comfy bed to the luxurious fluffy towels, everything was of a very high standard. We have stayed in many places in Greece, but this just has to be one of the best! In a great location, away from the crowds, but with 5 different places to eat and drink just a stones throw away - just perfect for a peaceful, relaxing holiday in a very beautiful part of Crete. Thank you Katerina, for being such a great and welcoming host and for the excellent communication both before and during our stay. We will certainly return again soon!

Absolutely nothing!

For us as a family of 7 the location and accommodation was perfect, right next to a small peninsula with a sandy beach and a stoney beach, if it was windy one side just head to the other side. Great little snack bar for lunch and a very short 3 min drive to the main town. We have been visiting Paleochora for 15 years and this accommodation is the best by far.

Wow what a magical place - we loved our house, the pool and the two beautiful beaches just 50 meter away! Katerina was an amazing, warm and welcoming host! Thank you for all Katerina - it was a true pleasure staying at your lovely property! We will be back !
