Karlsson's Guesthouse

Il y a des endroits qui sont magiques et cette guesthouse m'a vraiment fait aimer Siquijor, Comment résister a un bungalow en haut d une falaise pour admirer l'océan et le coucher de soleil... Dans un écrin de verdure avec un grand jardin , très calme , que de douceurs ici avec des hôtes charmants et discret . Une de mes résidences préférées en 7 mois de voyage en Asie . Dans mon top 3.

Ne pas être resté une semaine 😭

Однозначно 5 звёзд! Тихое, уютное место с шикарным видом на море. Закаты здесь — отдельный вид искусства. Домик чистый, всё работает, чувствуешь себя как дома. Хозяева — душевные люди, помогли с любым вопросом. Такое отношение дорогого стоит. Спасибо большое, будем рады приехать снова!

It was delightfully quiet. The ambience was relaxing and we were able to unwind in the natural beauty of the undeveloped location. We didn’t have our own transport but there was an all day restaurant within walking distance along the beach. Although the beach isn’t the best for swimming, there are many marine reserves close by; one was within walking distance. Our little bungalow was at the water’s edge, with an outside sitting area from where we watched amazing sunsets and listened to the gentle lapping of the waves. The room was basic, but cute and clean. The staff were lovely and made us feel welcome and comfortable. Nothing was too much for them providing us with an extra bed and finding us rides. We absolutely loved being there and were sad to leave.

Perhaps a quieter ac unit, although there was a powerful ceiling fan that cooled the room adequately. All windows had mosquito screens.

Ruhig gelegen. Schöne Terasse mit Blick aufs Meer. Gute WLAN-Verbindung.

Location superb ...restaurant not far along the beach for food. Staff managed well and cheerfully during typhoon and prolonged power outage

I really liked that this was right next to the beach, great for listening to th ocean and watching the sunset. My bed was comfortable. The staff were lovely.

The a.c was abit load but done the job

The place is great the people are friendly and great host's,, I arrive at 2 AM to early for my accommodation time but they still accommodate me without extra pay and I'm grateful of the owner he's my tour guide for my trip here at siquijor and it's a great experience .... ♥️♥️ Thank you.

Lovely host, have us lots of recommendations for beaches to go to during the day. Very peaceful and relaxing, quiet, away from the noise. The room has a lovely view of the sea, it is a bit too shallow to swim when we were there, but perhaps at a different season / tide you can. Regardless, the view is beautiful and there are lots of beaches to swim nearby. I would recommend you have a bike to get around, the roads are very well paved with one small part of unpaved road leading to the property, but we had no trouble driving on that and we are very inexperienced drivers so shouldn’t be an issue :) Lovely dogs also chilling around the place.

There are few stone independent buildings on to the small cliff, outside from the noise. Water front, but the beach is long mud trail to the deep on to the low tide

You need to ask a bike for rent if you want something to eat

Quiet, clean, comfortable stay with cold AC and fans. Excellent sea views from private porch. Plenty of space.

No hot water shower.

Great location if you want peace and quiet, and be away from the tourists. You will need transportation to get around!! The bed was super comfy as well so were the pillows!!

Patio overlooked the ocean. Steps to walk down to sandy quarter mile of beach. Staff was very helpful. WIFI with password. Kitchen with refrigerator/freezer. Close to Larena.

Ants had to be sprayed away first day. Roads are unpaved and rocky.

The isolation and seclusion

I was on a self reflection mode and the place served the purpose outside my porch is the ocean ..

Karlsson's Guesthouse is a wonderful place for people who like to wake up to fresh sea breeze and who does not like crowded places. You will feel like you own the entire beach because it's just you and the dogs. You can join the locals in the morning to harvest seashells when it's low tide. It is a very peaceful place. Your stress will go away as you listen to the waves at night. I am satisfied with the internet connection. Sometimes it gets interrupted but I'm glad I could still connect with my mobile data. I believe you can get some work done from here. Staff is easy to talk to. Nice people! Important -- if you don't have a motorbike or a car, then it's best to arrange your own transportation in advance because it can be challenging to get to and from the place. Make sure to have some food as well. Or you can walk on the beach and visit a nearby resort for food. The place is near Tulapos Marine sanctuary, which is great! Overall, Karlsson's Guesthouse is good value for money.
