Bayan Exotic Homestay

A remote traditional homestay with 4 cottages in the middle of the ricefields and jungle with amazing views. The young family is so adorable and does it’s best to feel at home. Perfect place to start the wonderful panorama route. They are licensed to organize the Rinjani trekking for 2 or 3 days. We saw and learned a lot about the the music, culture and the local community. Just visit the local swimming pool and enjoy the authentic village life. Thanks for your kindness and hospitality Nip, Awan and children. We loved your place!

Wunderschöne und ruhige Lage etwa 20min von Senaru entfernt. Das Besitzerpaar war sehr freundlich und das Zimmer sauber. Das Abendessen und Frühstück war lecker.

Aufgrund der sehr guten Bewertungen waren wir etwas enttäuscht von der Unterkunft. Als wahrscheinlich einzigstes Bungalow hatten wir kein warmes Wasser, obwohl die Leitungen dafür sogar vorhanden sind. Das Mosqitonetz war an diversen Stellen gerissen und der Internetzugang funktionierte nur für einige Stunden. Ausserdem wollten die Besitzer fast 60k für ein einfaches Nasi Goreng ohne Wasser dazu oder ähnliches.

Very nice, decent stay. The view around it’s stunning, in between the rice terraces. Away from the mosque and noisy streets. Only 15 minutes by scooter to Senaru. Small decent breakfast included. Lovely owners. If you want to feel the magic of this homestay book yourself a deluxe bamboo room, but expect to be a bit noisier.

The budget room needs a bit of renovation. Also, would be very handy to have a blanket in the room as it’s getting chilly at night.

Amabilité de Jonni et du personnel. Bonne situation, confort certes rustique mais c’est surtout un homestay de type local avec des gens locaux, ce qui rend le lieu si charmant et chaleureux.

Suasana villa nya...tenang,nyaman dan damai...pelayanan tuan rumahnya seperti keluarga sendiri,dan supportif membantu sepanjang kami menginap disana.

Sejauh ini utk villa nya tidak ada,cuma jalan umum menuju ke villa msh kurang penerangan aplg jalannya menanjak dan kurang lebar. Cuma lbh aware dn hati2 saat menyetir kesana

Nip en Awan zijn geweldige hosts. Lief, behulpzaam en gezellig. Het zijn fijne kamers met een mooi uitzicht! In een top omgeving.

Vriendelijke, behulpzame hosts, fantastische omgeving, comfortabele en leuke accommodatie. Tip: loop ook eens naar het enige restaurant in de buurt (Sunset Point; te vinden via Google Maps).

Très bien placé au milieu des rizières et à côté d’un magnifique spot pour le coucher du soleil. Le couple qui tient le lieu est adorable vraiment ! Ils nous organisent des supers journées si on demande et gèrent les trajets vers les villes voisines. Je conseille pour une expérience typique

Petite homestay très bien située au milieu des rizières. Accueil adorable des propriétaires. Allez au sunset point â côté, très sympa en fin de journée. Ne manquez pas non plus la randonnée dans les rizieres jusqu'aux cascades que peut vous organiser la homestay. Vraiment très sympa.

Nous avons été très bien reçus par Nip après notre ascension du Mont Rinjani. Les chambres sont simples mais confortables. Le cadre est incroyable, propice à la détente. Rapport qualité prix excellent.

Awan et Nip vous accueillerons avec une très grande gentillesse, l endroit est magnifique au milieu des cultures de riz et de tabac, awan vous accompagnera dans l organisation de vos excursions : visites des waterfalls et trek sur le mont Rinjani. Nip vous préparera de délicieux plats locaux avec le riz de la production familiale

Tout, c‘était quelques jours parfait grâce à Nip et sa famille qui ont su prendre soin de nous n’a n’importe quelle heure. Le logement donnant directement sur les rizières est parfait pour se reposer. Nous avons très bien mangé, Nip & Ayan nous cuisiné de bons petits plats tous les jours des qu’on en avait besoin, nous avons quasiment toujours mangé au logement. Nous leur avons loué un scooter en dernière minute pour faire certaines visites mais ils proposent également tout un tour d’une journée pour voir les principales choses dans les environs. Bref un petit havre de paix et une belle famille qui nous ont profondément touché. Un grand merci 🙏

No pudimos dormir en ese hotel por overbooking y nos ofrecieron dormir en una tienda de campaña detras de la habitación como primera solución.

Great breakfast

Les hôtes sont très gentils, nous avons pu aller voir un match de coupe du monde avec notre hôte et ses amis, souvenir mémorable ! La nourriture est très bonne et le bungalow est vraiment sympa. On a adoré. Juste à côté du bar Sunset Point qui est très cool, on y allait à pied.

Rien. Juste un peu excentré par rapport à senaru mais on se sent tellement bien dans le homestay que c’est un moindre mal.

Such a nice homestay and lovely family, thank you for having us! The views are amazing, the vibe is so peaceful, and most delicious homemade food 😊 the owner helped us arrange transport from the port and to our next location so everything went very smooth. We booked the panorama walking tour via owner, we walked through so many rice fields, two beautiful waterfalls and traditional village and it was great experience, definitely recommend :)) also great location with views of Rinjani.

All was great, owners really care to make you feel most comfortable and are very helpful :))

Rien à dire tout était excellent ! Merci un séjour dans une famille charmante vraiment! On m'a trouvé des solutions de déplacement en scooter pour mes activités et pour le port. Le petit déjeuner est top. J'ai pris un dîner aussi une fois impeccable. La chambre est hyper confortable et on s'endort avec la nature c'est top. Eau chaude dans la chambre ! Tout était parfait merci beaucoup !! Une famille aux petits soins et pleine de bons conseils

Very lovely remote location. Nip’s mie goreng is amazing. She is lovely such as her son.

Being welcomed by a rat in my room was something. He came everyday and I felt it was more his room than mine. Left cottage has no place to put your stuff and the bathroom is definitely unfinished. Nip’s husband is not the most helpful

Très bel emplacement pour découvrir les environs de senaru et les cascades. Belle petite maison avec une vue directe sur les rizières, en pleine nature. Awan et bip sauront vous conseiller un bon guide pour découvrir les cascades. Ils sont très accueillants et très gentils.

This is one of the best places I've ever stayed. Not only is the service excellent, but the family is truly wonderful and always asks about you. Their food is delicious, and they're always smiling. Honestly, it's worth the price for the service and everything else. The place is very clean and perfect for those seeking peace and tranquility.

Very simple place to stay with a beautiful view of rinjani first thing in the morning (wake up before its cloud covered) The breakfast in the morning is also great and good value for the money you are paying. The owner was also able to arrange transport for us to get them from Sira Lombok and to arrange transport to Kuta and we rented a motorbike to go to the waterfalls and Sembalun Also go to the sunset spot by the property to get the best view of rice terraces

Would love to have something really comfy like a hammock or beanbag on the balcony. You need to drive 20 min to Senaru, but that is the price I'm happy to pay for a remote and amazing place.

Very serene, scenic views overseeing rice fields. Very quite atmosphere with frogs and crickets in concert during the nights. Away from the business and noises from city life. Fantastic place!

The road leading up to it is quite out of shape and can be quite tricky on a scooter especially when it’s been raining, however this is out of the owners control and doesn’t take away from this stay

Pas grand chose

Pas d’accès à la wifi alors qu’on l’a demandé , personne à l’accueil le soir à 7h ni le lendemain matin à 8h , du coup pas de repas et pas de petit déjeuner alors que c’est éloigner du « centre de senaru » il faut compter 20 mn de scooter. Apparemment la personne avait quelqu’un de sa famille malade donc je comprends mais j’aurai aimé être juste prévenu sur ces aspects. Il y’a eu une coupure d’électricité , heureusement qu’on avait des données mobiles pour prévenir l’hôte car elle n’était pas sur place il y’avait personne . Alors oui les rizières sont jolies mais se faire réveiller à 6h du matin par des machines qui labourent à littéralement 10 m de la chambre c’est pas top. Globalement ca manquait d’attention pour moi et de sérieux

Prachtige ligging met uitzicht op rijstvelden en de Rinjani. De eigenaren Awan en Nip waren bijzonder gastvrij. Ondanks dat we 's avonds laat aankwamen, vanwege vertraging met de ferry, maakten zij toch nog een lekkere maaltijd voor ons klaar. De volgende dag regelden zij een taxi voor ons naar Bangsal voor een schappelijke prijs. Vanuit de homestay hebben we nog een leuke wandeling gemaakt door de rijstvelden.

Lo mejor del alojamiento fueron los servicios que Awan y su familia te ofrecían. Se encargaron de absolutamente todo para hacer nuestra estancia agradable y tranquila: organizaron el trek a Rinjani, el alquiler de la ropa de abrigo, nos alquilaron una moto para que npudiéramos movermos por la zona, hacer la colada…además de ofrecernos unas comidas deliciosas. Es un alojamiento al que volveríamos sin dudarlo.

Super Lage, super Personal, essen war im Wartung Stil, daher top. Nichts besonderes aber es wird frisch gemacht.

Dusche kaltes Wasser. Kein Duschgel oder sonstiges leider. Preis Leistung war für für uns in der Region ein bisschen zu hoch. Ansonsten top

Außergewöhnliche Location, mitten in der Natur. Sunset-Point mit Bar nur 10min fußläufig entfernt. Die Eigentümer sehr hilfsbereit und nett. Abendessen in der Unterkunft war ausgezeichnet.

Lovely small place surrounded by rice paddies and vegetable fields with a nice view of Mr. Rinjani. Peaceful and really quiet at night, basically no traffic noise at all. The owners are incredibly helpful and friendly and create a family atmosphere for their guests. Good breakfast, dinner is available on request. Home-cooked local food, do not bother to go out. My room was basic but fairly new and spotlessly clean. Just be aware that the location is rather remote, so ideally come with a scooter.

The hosts are very helpful & super friendly! They cooked fantastic meals for me! Even allowing me to host dinner for my friends!

Stunning location with views of Mt Rinjani and rice fields. Lovely meals, friendly helpful staff. Worth the trip if your looking to slow down and get away from the busy locations. Calm, peaceful and relaxing.

I loved the authentic experience of the accommodation located in a farming village overlooking rice fields and Rinjani. A peaceful getaway if your looking to connect with local culture and time away from the usual tourist traps.

The homestay is in a really beautiful setting amongst rice paddies with a view of Mount Rinjani. It's so relaxing to sit on the balcony of your hut surrounded by dragonflies and butterflies. I like that it's located just outside Senaru rather than in the middle. The huts are basic but spotlessly clean. Nip and Awan are a lovely couple who are working hard to build up their business and are happy to help you in any way they can. As an ex- woman guide, Nip's knowledge of the local area is spot on.

Everything was lovely. The local food I had was nice. Great location overlooking the rice fiels and good for sunrise. Loved the friendliness of the whole family, including their young boy. They were super helpful.

Great homestay, in the middle of the rice fields, if you are searching for some peace in the nature, this is the place to stay. The owners of the homestay make you feel like at home, Nip’s cuisine is simply delicious, from breakfast to dinner. You can rent a scooter from them to explore the surroundings and they are ready to advise you on where to go/ what to see. If you are a light sleeper, just pack some ear plugs, otherwise the sound of the nature is the best sound to fall asleep with. Def recommend!

We arrived at Bayan Exotic Homestay and were immediately welcomed with warmth by the host. He showed us to our room and we instantly fell in love — nestled right in the middle of a rice field, where you can quietly watch people working the land. After the busy chaos of Bali and the islands, this was the perfect escape into a calm, natural environment. We were also very hungry when we arrived, and the lovely hostess quickly prepared a delicious mie goreng chicken for me and a veggie-friendly version for my girlfriend (lots of tofu and tempeh — perfect!). The room was clean, the shower was hot, and the homemade Indonesian curry we had for dinner was incredible. We even forgot a night guard (dental retainer), and after we had already left, the owner messaged us and personally brought it to our next accommodation. Truly above and beyond hospitality. Thank you for such a wonderful stay — we’ll never forget it!

The property was beautiful! It was the perfect place to relax after our 3 day excursion climbing Mount rinjani. The bed was SO comfortable and the room was clean and spacious. The view from the room was gorgeous and a great place to relax. Highly recommend having dinner there too, the hosts are great chefs. Breakfast was also spot on.

Perfect if you want to do the Rinjani trekking

Stunning, rural location overlooking rice fields, lush greenery and Mont Rinjani summit in the distance. The constant hum of crickets and the flittering of hundreds of dragonflies along with the scenery makes for a gorgeous nature retreat away from it all. Nip and Awan, along with their lovely family, were lovely hosts and the homemade food was delicious. Nip and Molls took us in the most amazing trek across paddy fields, down through jungle, across rivers and up to Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep waterfalls, as well as showing us and explaining about traditional villages and taking us to an ancient mosque. Nip was really knowledgeable about everything from agriculture, plants, traditions and history and we would highly recommend taking her up on her offering of this opportunity. We will definitely be back if we’re ever in Lombok again. We didn’t do the Mont Rinjani trek this time but you always have to leave something to come back to do, right?! Thank you so much for a memorable experience 🙏🏼

The location is just amazing!! It is over the rice fields and feels very private. The owners are so kind and always there to help you. Very lovely people. They made us some delicious dinner and breakfast! Loved it!

The local couple running the guesthouse are super lovely. They helped me set everything up for my spontaneous Rinjani hike and served nice breakfast and dinner (THE CURRY IS DELICIOUS). The place is very clean and cozy surrounded by rice fields.

Hosts are delightful. Setting is lovely with each room having a small terrace overlooking a padi field with Mt Rinjani off in distance to one side. Currently there are 3 pristine new rooms, independant of each other and all different in size, style and bathroom. We stayed in 2 - although small the layout of rooms is good. Local homestyle meals were fresh and delicious, each breakfast and evening meal a different recipe, vegetarian or non.

The Homestay is not quite yet complete (Oct '24) with access way to rooms precarious, some steps are too steep, some areas minimal lighting - not for those unsteady on their feet! Overall, stay could be improved by having access to drinking water and coffee/tea in room/communal dining - and some guidance /welcome notes if no one is around when guests first arrive.

Nice room with a stunning view with rice fields. Really good and big breakfast. We tried their dinner and it was one of the best curry in Lombok. You need a scooter but they rented it to us.

Beautiful and peaceful setting with rice paddy’s and coconut palms right outside the room. The vibe and cleanliness of the bungalow, the comfort of the bed which also had a good mosquito net. Awan and Nip were great hosts. Good food available at the homestay. Such a memorable stay.

The only small suggestion I would make is that it would be nice to have a fan in the room as it’s quite hot.

The homestay was in a very nice area. Surrounded by rice fields. The drive up there was also beautiful. You have a nice view on Mount Rinjani. It’s very quiet and peaceful. The owner is super nice and helpful. The food they offer is very delicious and the portions are huge compared to the Warungs. The little hut we were staying in was super nice and looked quite new. There locals around are also super nice. There was a ceremony going on when we arrived and they invited us to join. Felt very safe and welcome here.

Beautiful, clean, new bungalows in an amazing setting in the rice fields. It’s the ideal place to spend some days away from it all, immerse in an awesome nature. The couple who runs the place are so friendly, helpful and nice, we felt at home and will remember them and their son forever and just hope to go back one day… It is good place to meet other travellers and have a chat over a delicious meal served in the terrace. Great atmosphere!

We ‘d have liked to stay longer!!! They have just opened and are still making improvements… there is not hot water yet, but they are planning to add it. It wasn’t an issue , anyway.

It was very clean, great location to run and out and teke a rest into wild nature.

Noise from the mosque.

I loved the remoted localisation in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of rice fields! So lovely! But it’s necessary to get there b your own bike, otherwise it’s a bit tricky to move around. And the food was amazing!

Somehow the light and also noise can easily get through the thin walls, not for light sleepers.

Delicious breakfast included. We also had a wonderful dinner (extra pay) that was cooked for us by the owner. Absolutely amazing, friendly people and very cute little boy who run the Homestay. We loved the peace and quiet in the rice fields. Be aware that it is a more isolated location. We wished we had rented scooters to get around.

The host & his wife were really wonderful people, who helped accommodate us with our every need. We needed a driver, and they fixed it for us as well as a guide to visit the waterfalls. Since there isn’t a lot to eat or shop in the neighbourhood (except one little shop for drinks and snacks) the host cooked a wonderful meal for us as well as breakfast. The bungalow has the best view on rice and tobacco fields and the sunsets here, with the mount Rinjani in the back are truly mesmerizing.

It was the best place that I stayed in Indonesia. The room is simple but really comfortable, and the views are amazing and beautiful. The place is also really clean!. Awan, Nip and Sukma (their kid) were amazing, Awan showed me around the rice fields for free, and told me about local farming and local traditions. Nip was so nice to me and all the guest, her food was from another world, great breakfast, dinner and lunch. Sam (staff member) was also incredible too, he helped me organize my trip to Rinjani, and made my stay really awesome. Please come here, you won’t regret it!!
