Reviewed Aug 29, 2026Ostello in un antico e molto bel palazzo del vecchio borgo di Martigny. Arredi e struttura interna completamente nuovi. Locali comuni superiori alla media degli ostelli. Disponibile un garage riservato alle biciclette, senza sovrapprezzo. Molto buona la colazione, poco dolce, ma tanti prodotti di qualità. Reception disponibile e piacevole.

No air conditioning, but that is typical in Europe. We should have asked for a fan or something for the extreme heat. Loud concert outside window, but would be fun if we didn’t have an early morning.

J’ai réservé dans un dortoir Femmes. Surprise le soir, un homme était dans la chambre! Après quelques questions, il nous assure que ce n’est pas lui le problème, qu’il était dans la chambre la nuit dernière etc. (en s’énervant). Le problème venait soit de lui (non respect des consignes de réservation), soit de l’hôtel. Bien désagréable surprise en tout cas! Surtout pour ma colloc de galère asiatique qui ne parlait pas anglais et qui était dans tous ses états. Le bruit dans la rue est également bien présent. Prévoir les boules Quies

Reviewed Aug 12, 2026The staff was really helpful. The building is beautifully redone house from 1685 - really cool. The YH is located on a pedestrian walkway in the old city with lots of restaurants and stores nearby. The breakfast was very tasty with a good variety of items.
The beds are a bit hard for me and there is no airconditioning which made sleeping in the heat uncomfortable. In addition, the nearby restaurants can be a bit loud on Friday/Saturday. A room facing the rear may be quieter.

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026The hostel was clean and quite. There was a large group staying in some of the rooms but they did not make noise. The room was clean, beds comfortable, and the private shower in the room was excellent.
Check in times are very limited, there is no where to leave your bags if you are too early to check in.

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026Delicious breakfast, plenty of choice both for food and drink. The hostel was exceptionally clean. The location was stunning. It was a pleasant 30 min walk from the railway station (just one road).
I had a late arrival and in my tiredness it was unclear on how to access the wifi as I didn't receive an email with the information, but I got logged on in the end.

Un voilage sur la fenêtre de la chambre (numéro 13 de mémoire) serait très apprécié pour préserver l'intimité dans la journée tout en profitant de la lumière du jour. Sans ce voilage, il faut fermer le rideau opaque et se retrouver un peu comme enfermé. La chambre est au 1er étage mais au niveau de la rue située sur l'arrière du bâtiment.

Reviewed Jul 9, 2026Martigny youth hostel was an excellent place to stay. Simple, but it was all that was required. The staff were great, and the breakfast was delicious. It even had laundry facilities. Good location with plenty of places to eat and drink too. The building was a restored property which added to the experience. It is only been recently restored too. It was much better than a lot the budget hotels and the security was great.
There was nothing that I didn’t like.

Reviewed Jun 23, 2026The location in Bourg Martigny was beautiful with a village feel and good cafes and restaurants very near. The staff were extremely helpful and explained how I could hike the next difficult stage on the Via Francigena without my heavy backpack by leavinv it at the hostel and returning to the nesrby Martigny Croix station to pick it up. The 6-bed rooms had their own toilet and shower and there was another toilet outside. Breakfast was very good.
Check-in wasn't until 5 pm, although I could drop my backpack off earlier.
