Tents were very warm and spacious. Having electricity to charge phones was great.
A few signposts for bathrooms and activities would have been helpful.
The tents were nice
The cutlery was not clean ,there was not enough coal in the barque,
Location was ideal, the grounds were beautiful. Gracy's and the food trucks were excellent. staff in all places were efficient and friendly.
The bathrooms could be cleaner, the shower floors were a bit gritty, dirty and the water was cold when I had a shower at 9am. There was no room in the fridge for us to put our milk and butter, not an inch of space.
It was well located to Westport Town , cycle way and other local beauty spots. The Glamping tents were clean and comfortable with adequate privacy. Well located near the facilities. The sauna was really enjoyable. The free footgolf was a nice touch.
Nothing
Westport is a great town with lovely restaurants. Kids enjoyed the play park.
The glamping pods were fine we normally camp and when our tent is sealed up we can keep the wildlife out however our glamping tent was full of slugs! The toilets and showers were always dirty, the ladies had no hooks on back of doors for coats/dryrobe and no toilet paper as constantly stuck in dispensers. Camp a lot but this site is way below standard!
Family room, hot showers ,great food facilities ,
Weather ,
Loads to do
Showers could be a bit cleaner
Location
No hot water toilets and showers very dirty
Beds were comfortable. Great to have the adventure centre and playground.
The toilets and showers could have been better. They were not very clean. I think it was only cleaned properly once over the 2 nights we stayed. And the shower drains were not cleaned.
Water in the showers was cold 2 out of 3 days
We enjoyed everything about our stay
Nothing
All of it
All of it
The location was excellent, the tent was comfortable enough
The toilets and showers were on top of a very steep hill and very difficult to get to. There is a step into the shower which both my wife and granddaughter fell as they came out of the shower. They could’ve been a little bit clearer. Kitchen facilities are poor, no room in the fridge and also a long trip to it.
Loved the set up, with the decking. it was spacious and the mini bbq and picnic basket were a nice added extra. also great to have the car close to unpack but also not beside the tent so kids were safe to run around.
The distance to a fridge and toilet. The fridge was ideal for those in camper/caravans but a 6 min walk for those glamping. Also the toilets were perched ontop of a hill making it difficult with young children.
Great location - kids loved it
Bit cold in the tent the first night despite heatwave so will be better prepared if come again
Tents were well set up and equiped. BBQ, utensils & kitchen ware were well presented
Could hear very clearly conversations in other tents....
First time glamping and really enjoyed it. It was so quiet there
No complaints but could have more variety for food.
Toilet facilities could have been a touch cleaner
We had the most comfortable sleep last weekend with the sound of rain on the tent. The effort put into providing quality duvets, pillows, and beds really showed, and we were delighted with the comfort. However, the cleaning could have been more thorough. Finding a previous guest’s used earplug under the bed was unpleasant but not a deal breaker. Lined bin for muddy boots and picnic basket was handy. The main issue was the lack of signage. From the main road we ended up at Westport House, then had to double back to the sign fr Gracy’s restaurant (no sign for glamping/camping) and eventually ask staff at the adventure centre for directions. A helpful staff member guided us to the glamping office, but when I mentioned the poor signage to the glamping office staff, the response was simply, “that is because we are all down here.”! On the positive side, the shower and toilet block were clean and well-lit at night. We didn’t get to use it because of the torrential rain, but the BBQ area outside the tent looked great. Didnt use it but the kitchen prep area looked basic. Rec room had fridge to stock milk and bits if you had them. Gracys restaurant was grand, nice staff and handy playground adjacent to it so kids could play while we ate. Overall, an expensive stay but a nice treat and glamping experience.
There’s no option to buy early breakfast onsite if you have early risers, so we drove into Westport to Served (fantastic), but didn’t return to the glamping afterwards. Also, no information was provided about the new sauna and plunge pool area. We would have brought gear if it had been listed in the facilities. Gracys restaurant didn't open until 12 and confusion from staff about what time the coffee shop opened.
Facilities/ activities for kids. Restaurant etc on site, clean yurt, close to westport town.
Heater in the yurt, cleaner showers.
It’s a beautiful setting conveniently close to the middle of town but very quiet as it’s in the demense of Westport House. Tent was very comfortable and had an amazing sleep there. The sauna and jacuzzi are a nice touch although optional extras. The discounts for the activities also a nice bonus.
The kitchen and shower / loo facilities are basic and shared with all the other campsites so not upto the “glamping” moniker or the standard of the tents. No towels being supplied is one big oversight.
Beautiful tent, very comfy
The kitchen was dirty and bad smell. Not enough staff around to ask questions eg we wanted to use the spa facility but weren't sure if my daughter would be able to use it but no one around who knew the answer. The restaurants were empty and coffee van wasn't open until 10am so had to go into westport Town for food and drink.
Was a cute little glamping area. Nice area for the kids to run around and play. Lovely setting.
You have to pay extra for EVERYTHING. Even to use the camp kitchen cooking facilities. Cutlery and crockery in the picnic basket wasn't clean. I had a glass of red wine spilled all over me by staff (that's ok, accidents happen) but no compensation at all, cost me over €10 to wash and dry my clothes. Activities should be cheaper if paying a premium to stay at the glamping area.
Glamping tent was great and beds were very confortable
Bathroom and toilet was shared with camping space. For the more expensive glamping we should have separate bathroom and maybe kitchen space.
Excellent shower & toilet facilities.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Cleanliness could be improved and overpriced for what was on offer in every area.
Nice space in the tents. Had everything we needed.
Location, staff, views - all amazing!
The bedding got damp during the night. One chair would be nice inside the glamping tent.
I liked the tents and beds were very comfortable
Didn,t like that kettles and kitchen facilities were too far away from the tents.
Location was good Plenty for kids to do
We had a fantastic time wouldn't change a thing
Nothing
Beds very comfortable Lots to do on site Restaurant was great on site Very quiet Very close to Westport town BBQ available
No food available in the morning apart from limited pastries and drinks. Tent felt very damp, not sure of this is avoidable with the wet weather. A small table in the tent would have been great as sometimes too wet to sit at the outside one
The communal areas that we used were clean.
The lack of sleep. The groups next to us where noisy til near two in the morning and it prevented my child from sleeping.
Glamping is excellent . Beds are very comfortable.
No bins to dispose of rubbish on Glamping site. There was for the whole site near the main reception but on the Glamping site would be a nice touch.
Peace and quiet The kids loved the pool table The space was great
There wasn't enough toilets and showers for amount of people there. The kitchen area was a bit small and not enough cooking equipment.
Loved the open space and good room both inside and outside the tent
Nothing it was a nice break but pricey
lovely location, well sheltered by trees
The equipment provided for Glamping was inadequate and therefore anyone visiting would need to bring their own equipment such as dinner plates, cups, cutlery, bowls, wash basin, flask, electric kettle, warm blankets, plenty of one euro coins to pay for use of cooker.
Nice location
Location map is wrong, needs to find the correct eircode from staff
The tipee was very clean and comfortable and being able to charge our phones was a great plus, they provided a little basket for us to us to assist with eating at the tent alongside the egg barbarque, which was fabulous, and the shower and toilet facilities were well lit, nearby and clean.
As it was our 1st time staying in a tipee, we didn't know what to expect it did get a bit cold in there at night but luckily I had brought extra blankets which solved that as it did rain hard overnight but we were lovely and dry! So maybe heavier blankets could be left at the end of the beds instead of a light throw. My main issue was that there was no where to and sit and have a decent breakfast the following morning the food available to us at 10.30 was coffee/Tea or hot chocolate and a few buns nothing else and as we hadn't been givenbany further information as to the nearest restaurants to the adventure village and campsite that's what we had to eat as the kids were booked in for activities on site at 11.00 .
The location was great and so were the facilities. The new sauna should be advertised before hand or sent in an email as 18 of us stayed and not all had stuff to use it.
The gates! We were never told one gate to walk into the town was closed. We were never told what times each gate closed at, at night time and this caused us to be locked out having to ring for assistance.
Very comfortable and very close to all
Showers and kitchen for fridge and bit of a trek but nothing too much .
We had an amazing stay. The facilities were clean and well maintained. Lovely pizza place on site. A short walk/car ride into westport. Brilliant stay
Loved everything
Mooie tenten met hele fijne bedden.
.
Very clean toilets for camping. Staff taking really good care of the tents and toilets cleanliness.
Not much to do in the evening. Everything is closed.
Pizza bar, food truck, coffee dock were topclass and the location was beautiful. Would come again.
No heat in the teepee tents. If option to pay extra for heat i would.
Extremely easy with small kids (3 y/o). Very comfortable. Beautiful surroundings, excellent amenities. Very relaxing.
The quiet times weren’t managed so it’s very noisy up until half eleven at night across the campsite.
Clean and very friendly staff
walk to the bathroom
Nice scenery
Toilets were very far away, cold and damp inside tent and a bit of a walk to town
How clean and the whole set up
I loved everything
The curfew was supposed to be 11pm but there was no obvious staff presence to implement this. We had to get out of bed at 1am to tell the kids playing on our deck and shining torches into our tent to go away. There was a lot of noise until well past curfew. That is the only negative and we did enjoy the rest of our stay.
The setting and surroundings and layout of site. Good space inside tent and access to electricity super.
Ended up beside a few families with plenty of noise but that's the luck of it.
Tent was damp and mouldy. It leaked when it rained and saturated the beds. Horrendous. Cant believe the glamping tents are not waterproof
The property is clean
No heat
The Glamping tents were lovely beds comfortable.
The toilet and shower erea could improve alot more showers and hairdryers, and a kettle in the tents would be great On site food, Ice cream and soft drinks over priced.
