I liked the hospitality of the caretaker

It's a little far from the center and power cut problem and my room was in the basement of the house and only has only a table fan and no selling fan

Bindu, la gérante, est une personne incroyable. C'est une femme au grand coeur, avec une très belle âme et qui fera tout pour que vous vous sentiez comme chez vous. Toutes ses actions sont réalisées avec une grande humilité et une immense bonté. Son regard n'exprime que bienveillance et chaleur humaine. Je n'ai pas assez de mot pour lui exprimer toute ma gratitude. Le logement est incroyable. La végétation est luxuriante. Bindu adore jardiner et vous pourrez admirer toutes ses belles plantes qui ornent tout le logement, à tous les étages! D'une beauté incroyable. La chambre et salle de bain étaient parfaites et fonctionnelles. Il y avait clim et ventilateur. Et j'avais un balcon personnel, juste incroyable, avec une petite balancelle sur laquelle il faisait bon s'asseoir pour profiter de l'air du Kerala. Quel endroit incroyable! Et on ne le doit qu'à Bindu. La cuisine est aussi très bonne. Le cuisinier vous prépare des petits plats du Kerala (attention les papilles c'est très épicé))). Le quartier est résidentiel, et très sécure. On peut s'y promener pour s'imprégner de la vie locale. Difficile de quitter un endroit aussi merveilleux. Il y a des tuk-tuk si vous voulez vous déplacer, et Uber fonctionne bien. Je me souviendrai toute ma vie de Bindu, elle aura marqué mon voyage. MERCI MA TRES CHERE BINDU pour ce que tu es et pour ce que tu offres au monde, sans rien attendre en retour. Que les Dieux te protègent. With Love.

It was lovely to share with Bindu, the caretaker. She was welcoming and kind, and always ready to help if I needed anything. I felt safe in the house and the neigbourhood was nice and quite, corner shops around for basics and Uber works no problem. Definitely recommend and would stay there again 😊

The place was absolutely serene and peaceful. Bindu mam’s garden was so lush that it only added to the tranquility. I had a very homely stay and the food too was very fulfilling. Bindu mam and Vinod Anna were very helpful whether it was providing food or arranging anything

Initially I didn’t like the room that I got as it was in the basement. But when I addressed it, mam was helpful enough to arrange another room for me which I absolutely loved.

Had a wonderful 3-night stay here. The place was safe, peaceful, and had a truly homely atmosphere. The location is calm and quiet, perfect for a relaxing stay. The hospitality was excellent, and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place — 10/10 experience. Looking forward to choosing this place again on my next visit!

This is the second time I have stayed here, and once again I truly appreciated the hospitality and warm welcome. Even though I arrived at 1 a.m. I was received with kindness and care, which made me feel comfortable right away. The house was spotless and exceptionally clean, and the terrace is a true oasis of peace where you can relax and unwind. I highly recommend this place and would happily stay here again.

I had a truly pleasant stay at the Chaithritha Ladies Homestay. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming and felt very safe, which made it perfect for a female. The host Bindhu was kind and attentive, always ready to help with anything I needed, yet gave me enough privacy to feel at home. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I especially appreciated the homely touch and the calm environment, which made it easy to relax. The stay provides home-cooked meals at extra cost but haven't got a chance to try. Overall, I would highly recommend this homestay to women looking for a safe, cozy, and friendly place to stay in Trivandrum.

Excellent, well maintained property. Lots of plants and it has a great vibe. I had an excellent stay and felt safe. The staff is very friendly, sweet and caring. Breakfast and dinner is easily available which is tasty, cheap and reliable.

Although my stay was great and I do recommend this place, there were a bunch of issues that I choose to overlook. 1. The room that I stayed in had a bunch of personal items of another person who clearly seemed to stay there when the room was not rented out. This was eerie and unsettling for me 2. There was an issue with ants, there were too many ants in the room. And they even came on the bed which was distressing. 3. This is a ladies homestay, run by a woman. And I expected to be hosted by a woman there. Unfortunately, the day I arrived, the caretaker was busy on her day job and shortly after that, I realized she wasn't going to be back until the next day. Her son was taking care of the homestay until then. Although my stay ended up to be comfortable and the man was very sweet and professional. I couldn't help feeling a bit unsafe because this was unexpected and I did not see any other guest (or female) in the house as well. Had I known this information previously, I would have avoided the stay. Again, my stay ended up being pleasant, and I would visit again and recommend this homestay. But I still wanted to point out these issues as they may be able to improve these over time.

Sehr gepflegtes Haus bei einer freundlichen Familie. Der Kühlschrank durfte genutzt werden, es gab extrem preisgünstiges indisches Frühstück sowie Abendessen gegen Aufpreis.Wunderbar did Blumenterrasse und der schattige Balkon bei Zimmer 2. Ich konnte einen kleinen Frühstückstisch mit Wasserkocher nutzen oder morgens in der Küche frühstücken. Die Vermieterin war sehr hilfsbereit und setzte mich auch ab und an mit dem Scooter ab, wo ich hin musste. Da noch ein zwei Zimmer mehr im Haus vermietet werden, hat man immer Gesellschaft von interessanten anderen alleinreisenden Frauen. Wie ein Hostel mit Zuhause-Ambiente.. Hat man sich die knapp 2 Kilometer zur nächsten Geschäftsstelle erst einmal eingeprägt, kann man zu Fuß Erkundungen und Besorgungen erledigen, auch abends und nachts allein sehr sicher. Handy mit Taschenlampenfunktion mitnehmen.Küchenbenutzung zum Kochen nach Absprache und gegen Gebühr.

Das Haus liegt in einem verwunschenen Vorgartenviertel voll improvisierter Pfade und Gassen, teils nicht asphaltiert, steil und voll Staub und Pfützen.Taxis finden sich nicht zurecht, Eigenes Fahrzeug und Ortskenntnis würden helfen. Es wird ein Scooter für 5 € pro Tag zur Miete angeboten. An den Wochenenden mitunter laute Partys im Hostel nebenan, aufheulende Scootermotoren.etc.

The only thing I would say is that it’s a bit far from the main attractions, so you have to rely on cabs.

Greenery with lot of plants, cleanliness, the host Bindhu is a very warm and welcoming host that makes you feel at home, the caretaker Penny also. The breakfast served was very good. The bathrooms were very clean.

The hosts were proactive in communication, from the moment I booked this homestay. I stayed for two nights. The hosts arranged pickup and drop off for me - which is highly appreciated. The hosts also arranged half a day site seeing tour for me - though this wasn't their responsibility. Bindu and Lihin made sure that I was comfortable. It is very safe place for solo women travellers. Cleanliness and internet was excellent. Bindu even offered me her "mundu" for the visit to Padmanabh temple. That was very kind of her. I enjoyed traditional Kerala breakfast.

Some ideas for improvement - I will communicate those directly with the hosts. I think there is nothing that I didn't like.

Bindu the property owner and her son is very understanding person. And safe place for traveler specially solo traveler. I booked for two days only but I am planning to extend here more. Thank you 🫶

The owner, Bindu is one of the most helpful person I've met. She had to leave at around 4am the day I was checking out, and she prepped and kept ready breakfast for me before! Since I was leaving at 5:45am to catch an early morning flight, this was very very helpful, since nothing would be open at that point. She also arranged for a glass of warm milk at night - and while this might not seem like a big deal, it shows that she is willing to help. I only stayed overnight for 10hrs before leaving so I didn't get to see and use a lot of the facilities, but from my interaction with Bindu, I can say that this place is very safe and I highly recommend it for a hassle-free stay in trivandrum. Finally, many thanks for arranging auto rides for me from the railway station and the airport. I didn't have to worry about travel logistics at all.

Not the property's fault at all, but the location is a little far from shops and other areas. I was travelling here late at night by an auto rickshaw and the further you go, the lack of street lights make you feel like you're in an isolated area. Come daytime you will notice that this is because there are a bunch of gated communities around here, as well as single-family bungalows all around. You WILL need a vehicle (your own or an auto) to get to the main street.

the room is sufficient in size with well maintained bathroom and an AWESOME balcony with plants all over!! The owner Ms Bindu was easily available and helpful with my many requests. One friend of mine joined me a day later at the stay and checked in around 1:30 am , the auto pick up and drop off was arranged by Ms Bindu's son and he was also available and quick to help with the language barriers through phone and made the late night check in safe and easy. very grateful for that!

location seemed a bit hasslesome as i planned my day tours with a break to come back at homestay and rest. As it was a short stay it would have been much easier if the homestay were closer to the attractions and main market. this was my 1st experience of a homestay so can't complain but would have loved more options in breakfast. the 2 options that i had were dosa and puttu kadala curry both were affordable and yum.

Short but great stay at this homestay. I was arriving late into Trivandrum and it was easy to arrange a late check in. Bindu is lovely and although I didn't meet her son, he was very helpful over whats app. I should have pre-ordered breakfast but they were able to request something last minute with their neighbour, and it was delicious. The room was exactly as pictured and described, and the entire house was homely and clean, in a lovely quiet neighbourhood. I wish I had stayed longer and I'll return here if ever in the area!

I had such an amazing time at the Homestay even though it was only one night! Bindu welcomed me extremely nice and put a lot of effort to make my stay the best. She waited for me because I arrived very late and arranged an airport pick up which was extremely helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. Can only recommend!!

Staying with Bindu has been such a gift. I loved so much the energy of her place and the way I have felt so welcomed in my first day in India. I felt super safe, she helped me arrange a taxi from the airport, and I have loved spending some time in her house, with the beautiful view I had from my balcony, the amazing food our neighbor prepared, and in a very cozy and welcoming home. I recommend it a lot! It is a very good place to stay especially if you're going to Sivananda Ashram, as it is on the way. It is a bit far from the city but worth it. They cancelled few hour before on whatsapp. Even though they called in the morning to confirmed the booking. It was so inconvenient & hassle as a solo female travel with big bag. Really unprofessional. Either they shouldn't have confirmed the booking or called to confirm.

Great place! Bindu runs this lovely homestay for ladies, which might have at least 700-900 plants all around. The place is fully furnished, equipped with everything you might possibly need. The balcony was cozy, the bed was comfortable. The local breakfast was delicious, very affordable and worthy! It was a short stay, but a pleasant one, thank you!

It was such a pleasure stay and lovely to get to know Bindu and her son.They were lovely and so helpful. Although I requested a few things they were always trying to help me. Bindu took us to a local river for a boat ride too. I'll definitely come back for a longer stay. Great to have optional meals which are cooked locally and so delicious! You get everything you need here. Convenient location to easily get to Trivandrum.

The check in was very easy. We could get meals from the neighbour at the place, so very nice for breakfast and dinner. Bindu was very nice, welcoming and helpful.

There is nothing I did not like but just to be aware that the place is a bit far from public transport.

I have been staying for 3 weeks already in Bindu's homestay, feeling fully at home and cozy. Bindu is very kind and welcoming and I am really enjoying sharing some time with her and her friends or relatives when they come by. For anything I have needed around the city, I reached out to her son who was always very reactive and helpful. The room is comfortable, the house is clean and surrounded by plants and flowers. The neighborhood is residential and very calm, ideal for resting and walking around (lots of beautiful houses, small streets without traffic). About 20min away from the city center in a rikshaw. A neighbor cooks great food for me daily, and I have been taking classical singing lessons with another neighbor who teaches music. I truly recommend this homestay, especially if you want to immerse yourself in the local culture, language and general vibe.

Best place for ladies to stay. Safety, cleanliness and easy commutation. Calm place to stay. Service also excellent. I felt at home.... Will strongly suggest for everyone visiting trivandrum.

I felt at home and safe in this place. The highlight of the place is the positive energy one would feel because of the plants grown all over there. The host maintains the place well. Uber auto can be used for commute. I opted home food which was provided on time. Overall, I would recommend the place.

Everything! The hosts were so approachable and helpful. Room was spacious and had a private balcony with a swing, which was a delightful bonus. The whole home was cute and had such positive vibes. Very easy to swiggy food, and the in house auto person was also quite helpful. Will definitely stay here when I visit Trivandrum again.

It is an exceptional place on the midst of nature. Calm and tidy house you will be able to rest and feel immediately at home. The owner is friendly and helpful straight away. The communicaton via watsap is smooth and peofessioanly fast. The room with the balcony is spacious and fresh with AC. The area is nice and free of noise still close to the city. My entire feeling of comfort was enhanced by the property's excellent cleanliness and sanitary requirements. The peaceful environment were perfect for relaxing. A highlight of my visit was also the home-cooked meal, which was excellent, comforting, and properly cooked. The visit was made better by the friendly and accommodating hosts. It was safe, homely with great hosts and hospitality. Bindu aunty and Lihin were super helpful and friendly. Special mention to beautifully maintained balcony and terrace with greenery all around. A sight to behold indeeed!

I think there are three things that can be improved: -Veg food. Taste was average and the quantity of side dish was disproportional to the main dish. For example: rice was more but curry was less. Even the taste has great room for improvement. - Hot water facility for shower. I really wish they offered hot water for showering as many of us are not used to cold water baths especially when the stay is longer. -Socket option placement could have been better. We were two people and we stayed for 5 days. So having sockets which were not in easily accessible spots made it a bit more challenging as I also had to work and had to charge multiple gadgets.

One of the main concerns when you are traveling alone is safety. Safety was not compromised during this stay. What else can you expect when staying in a police officer's house?😅 She was very sweet and hospitable. Whatever your concern is, she will address it. If I have to stay in Trivandrum again, I will choose this homestay.

The homestay provided a homely feel and the hosts Bindhu chechi and her son were extremely helpful with the smooth check in and check out. They made sure that I was comfortable enough and provided me with proper traveling facilities. The room was extremely clean and tidy and the host ensured that we had our own privacy. The place resides in a residential area which makes solo travellers like me feel safe and secure at an affordable price. However, if you're booking, my suggestion is.to book a room with air conditioning as that will ensure a good staying experience.

I am very happy with all the facilities and services provided by the hosts. However it would have been even more good if both the rooms had air conditioning rather than just one. Other than that, everything was spot on ✨

The host was so lovely and kind, and the house has such a great atmosphere with all the plants. I felt really at ease and welcomed, as a solo female traveller I found this option so much better than a pricier hotel. With a balcony as well it was a great spot to spend the evening. Transport via auto-rickshaw with local rates and for a small fee the host can arrange meals as well. Absolutely amazing value for money and I would highly recommend.

Stayed here almost one week. Feel like stay at relatives house. Clean and neat with beautiful gardens. I enjoyed cook here. You can also order homemade food. Bindu is friendly and helpful. Even Bring me to the ride event for celebrate international women’s day. After that also rent bike from here.

If you are planning to visit Trivandrum I think this is one of the best place you can find there. Peaceful atmosphere and the plants around the place give more life to the place. The host are so welcoming with their pleasent attitude and had a smooth communication while staying there.I loved the entire atmosphere of the house. The rooms are very clean...the balcony provision will give you chance to watch beautiful scenery of sunset and sunrise at the same time... Overall I had a great experience!! I will recommend this place to everyone who wish to have a quiet and peaceful days at an affordable rate.. Thankyou!

The greenery and orchid garden surrounding the house, plants inside and the balcony provides a great vibe to the place. The landlady is very courteous and very helpful. The property is super clean and safe. It really felt like home!!!

How lucky was I to find this fantastic homestay. Literally, a home away from home. The host is a kind, caring, intelligent and welcoming lady. The home is immaculate with wonderful gardens and orchids. I was even able to order home cooked meals delivered to the door and transport was covered by a neighbouring auto driver who was very reliable and charged locals rates. It was the best value accommodation I found in my 6 months in India and I returned several times during my travels. I would highly recommend this homestay to any international female travellers looking for safe, comfortable and very affordable accommodation. You won't regret it. Thank you so much and I will see you again when I return to India.

Amazing support. We reached there very early morning and very new to this place. We were getting continuous support till we reach there. Room was very clean and neat. Aunty was so kind. She is maintaining the home like Heaven. Within very hours of stay I loved the place.
