Fantastisk udsigt over havet. Stor smuk have. Stille og rolige omgivelser. Sød og hjælpsom hotelejer! Og sød hund!

Aircondition og wifi virkede ikke. Man kan ikke bade ved stranden. Ligger meget øde, så man skal have scooter eller bil, hvis man vil udenfor hotellet. Men ejer hjælper gerne!

Food was amazing. Staff was lovely. Very peaceful, serene place. The pool was also lovely. Snorkeling right out the front when sea was calm. The gardens were lovely and week kept.

Communication was a bit tricky as only the owner speaks English. Difficult to get in to and out of the sea for snorkeling because of rocks. Roosters!

One of the best choice in Bali. Well maintained area. Service is 👍. Good resto is there. Huge area with gardens. All amenities are ✅ I spent a wonderful week there 🖐🏻

De persoonlijke betrokkenheid van zowel eigenaresse als haar staf. Je komt hier echt niets te kort. Iedereen is even aardig, er heerst een ontspannen sfeer. Het ontbijt is goed en goede keuze. Het avondeten (wij lunchen niet) was van een zeer hoge standaard; echt heerlijk. De bungalow was groot met een goed bed en een mooie badkamer. Wat ook heerlijk was; het zitje op de veranda twee heerlijk fauteuils en een bank. Als we ergens heen wilden werd dat geregeld. We hebben ons de afgelopen 3 maanden dat we nu door Azië en het Midden-Oosten reizen zelden zo ontspannen en welkom gevoeld.

Лично мне это не критично, но рядом деревня и утром поют петухи, возможно кому-то это не приемлемо. Я это рассматриваю как звуки природы.

Zeer mooie locatie, prachtige tuin en Ibu Cherie: altijd vrolijk en behulpzaam. Fijne kamer en goed eten. Kortom: genoten hier!

Ligt zo'n 700 meter van de doorgaande weg af dus je hebt een auto of motor nodig om er op uit te gaan

Ons verblijf in Retreat Villa Toraja in Baturinggit (Kubu) was een diepe ervaring van rust en bezinning. De locatie is prachtig: uitzicht op zee, omringd door natuur en stilte. De villa is met zorg ingericht en straalt warmte uit. We voelden ons welkom en konden echt tot rust komen. Een plek om te vertragen, te reflecteren en op adem te komen. Een aanrader voor wie zoekt naar meer dan alleen een vakantie.

Geen minpunten, het was precies wat we nodig hadden.

La chambre était très propre et bien équipée, la piscine propre et très calme avec la possibilité de se mettre sur des transats sous les parasols ou dans des sofas ronds très confortables. L'équipe de l'établissement est très bienveillante, prévenante et accueillante. La propriétaire une belle personne très douce, d'une gentillesse extrême et toujours prête à nous aider afin de faciliter nos vacances.Une belle rencontre 🙏. Possibilité de se restaurer au sein de l'établissement et les repas sont délicieux. L'hôtel est en front de mer. Le jardin est magnifiquement fleuri et arboré avec goût. After traveling all around Bali, i can comfortably say that this is the best place you can stay. The villa and the whole garden is beautiful and very tranquil. It’s really a piece of paradise just right below Mount Agung and directly beside the ocean. But the best part of it all is actually the staff and the owner, Chery who is incredibly kind, helps you with everything and cooks amazing food (the best i have had in the whole Indonesia). She can also help you to organize trips to the other parts of the island, so you can see everything, but still stay in a calm place, far away from the tourist crowds. This place quickly becomes your home in Bali, can absolutely recommend it.

Very friendly staff and great breakfast. Location is quiet and directly on the beach. Pool is good for a quick refresher. The garden is lovely and the view over the volcano in the morning is amazing.

The mattress is quite firm, would be great to add a topper.

Great service for a great price

Prachtige tropische tuin, heerlijk zwembad, uitzicht op zee, heerlijk eten en de eigenaresse en haar personeel doen er alles aan om je een onvergetelijke tijd te bezorgen. Heerlijke massages in de tuin met het ruisen van de zee…. Niks is hen teveel, zelfs voor mijn zoontje wordt gezorgd. Ook dieetwensen wordt gehoor aan gegeven. Ik blijf maar nachten bijboeken omdat ik nog niet wil vertrekken. Hier kun je echt tot rust komen, ik zou iedereen deze plek aanraden.

There could be a few more options of things to do in the evenings, as you are quite isolated from anything.

The hosts were amazing. The family that run it are so kind and accommodating. Couldn’t do enough for us, from a free laundry service to being on hand whenever we needed food or drinks. The home cooked food was the best we had had in Asia. Location was amazing. Right on the coast in a secluded spot. Amazing

WiFi was a bit hit and miss.

The owner and her son are amazing. The place is funtastic and quiet as you can wish for. If you want to relax by the sea, that is your place Also the garden and the little things the have in the room are very appriciated. You feel like home

Chery and everyone on the vila were wonderful. We spend there a week and had an amazing experience. From the food, the facilities to being helpful on what to visit and offer help to book activities or a moto to move around the area.

It was peaceful and relaxing. Great for snorkelling. All the staff very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Food was excellent. Continuous supply of water. I didn’t need to but there is an ability to borrow a mask and snorkel here too

It was too far away from Kubu to walk into so you will need to book a taxi if you want to explore further. The rooms are clean but could do with some updating.

What an amazing experience! Right on the ocean, beautiful gardens and so much green space! A great pool! And really nice private bungalow villa! The owner is super kind and all the food was delicious and made from scratch!

The bed was a little bit hard for my liking… but in the end I had a good sleep regardless. It’s so peaceful there !

Hidden gem in Kubu. This accomodation is running by family with 6 staffs, all are nice and friendly. Especially the host, she is an amazing lady with good cook. And her dog, Chaky, is gentle and nice and so friendly. Room is quite big and comfy. In my point of view, the room is more spacious and comfy if less items inside.

the garden by the sea is so spacious and beautifully landscaped. very simple menu but delicious.

the location, it's a bit far from everywhere but it didn't bother us much as we just chilled and enjoyed the beautiful weather in Bali at this time of the year

The staff were amazing, the staff and the owner did everything to make our experience memorable. They were flexible and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and the owner prepared food off the menu on request. Even went especially to source ingredients from the market to prepare us something special We would highly recommend Retreat Villa Toraja to anyone who wants to relax

The only down side is the beach is not accessible for bathing as it is rocky, however the staff are willing to arrange transport to a suitable spot if you do not have any transport

Great place to unwind and relax. We enjoyed watching the sun rise and seeing boats returning home from the evening fishing.

Cherry and her team work hard to provide great service, however, there are no other walkable restaurants from the retreat. Food onsite was great. Cherry was very helpful and drove us to a stunning restaurant for dinner one night, small fee was reasonable as it was roughly an hours drive. If you need screen time bring your own devices.

I can highly recommend this owner-run hotel. It was the perfect accommodation, especially for me as a woman traveling alone. Everything here is also super clean, quiet and relaxed. The breakfast (included in the room rate although it is offered without on Booking com) is very good, some of the fruit comes from their own garden, and dinner is a delight. Be sure to ask for dishes that are not on the menu - Chery, the owner, is a fantastic chef and performs true culinary wonders in her kitchen. In general, she is a real treasure and very good host. She has a lot of tips for Bali and can organize individual sightseeing tours (recommended and not overpriced). She has snorkeling equipment and massages can also be booked with her on site at a very good price (also highly recommended!). The rooms are well equipped, the beds are comfortable and there are plenty of towels and beach towels. I also thought it was great that you have access to drinking water at all times at no extra charge. There are water dispensers in front of each room. The accommodation is a little out of the way, but ideal for visitors to Bali who want to discover authenticity and some of the unfortunately slowly disappearing original Bali. The food was amazing, made by its owner directly fresh from the oven, not a cold and heated food the view and landscape of this property was really superb don't waste your time by looking somewhere else, just stay and enjoy your time in here, worth for 1000x

This property is just so beautiful and peaceful! The photos really don’t do it justice. It is absolute ocean front and set in gardens with a lush green lawn that sweeps down to the water. The rooms are separate and self-contained with Mt Agung watching over in the background, there is a restaurant on site and the staff are so lovely.

What a place. We are so fortunate to have booked Toraja’s villa. This is by far the best stay we had in our month in Indonesia. The food is freshly made by your host personally. The rooms are perfectly clean. It is quiet, relaxing and everything is just perfect. We loved it and would want to come back preferable yesterday. They’re the most kind people in the world. Toraja is truly a blessing to have stayed in this paradise and we think everyone should visit. Again thank you so much for everything. ❤️❤️❤️

If you are looking for a peaceful place to relax and unwind, Retreat Villa Toraja will do just that. Absolute peace, wonderful surroundings, friendly staff and fantastic cuisine. Not just breakfast. The restaurant will prepare real gems of local cuisine for you. Throughout the day, you have fruit and an unlimited amount of drinking water. Even chilled. Chery (the owner) will help you with advice, information and help in any situation. Rent a scooter, a car, arrange a trip anywhere? Chery is the person who arranges everything. Be sure to sit facing the sea in the morning at breakfast. Sometimes you will see dolphins frolicking. It is said that whales will also appear, but we unfortunately did not see them.

Beautiful beachside resort set in lush tropical gardens. Much better than the online photos suggest. Staff and particularly Chery (the owner) provide amazing service and delicious food. Highly recommend a stay at Villa Toraja.

Very friendly and helpful staff and owner. Good location for relaxing but also next to the sea so boats can pick you up for yours, fishing or snorkeling trips. Food cooked to order and very nice.

The best resort trip I have ever stayed in Bali. The perfect view and garden, the room is very warm and very popular with friends. It feels like having the atmosphere of the whole resort. The owner Chery is very enthusiastic and personally for us ServiceMore and explanation, if you are a person who likes to be quiet and enjoy the scenery, it is very suitable to come here. It can calm your whole mind. We will come again~
