Reviewed Aug 26, 2026Sehr freundliches Personal. Mein Zimmer war recht gross, alles sehr sauber & angenehm, Bett bequem. Frühstück klein, aber ausreichend.
Die Strasse ist leider erstaunlich laut, aber zuvorkommend liegen Ohrstöpsel parat. Das fand ich wirklich toll! Und bei geschlossenen Fenstern geht es.

Reviewed May 27, 2026Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und ausreichend. Das Personal war sehr herzlich und freundlich. Die Unterkunft war insgesamt sehr gut gepflegt und sauber.
Die Lage dirket an der Durchgangsstraße des Ortes ist nicht ideal. Eine Kirche mit einem Schlagwerk als Viertelrepetierer macht das Schlafen für hellhörige fast unmöglich. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage

Das Zimmer war etwas knapp beheizt. Wahrscheinlich 20° C. An einem feucht, nebligen Tag ist dies für ältere Personen eher kühl. Die Kissen könnten besser sein.

Reviewed Oct 22, 2025Sehr herzlicher Empfang, auch für unseren Hund. Wir fühlten uns auf Anhieb wohl. Das Zimmer war sehr gross. Auch konnten alle Kleider problemlos verstaut werden. Tourismusunterlagen waren sowohl bei der Reception als auch auf dem Zimmer zu finden. Auch standen stilles und lautes Wasser zusammen mit einer kleinen Süssigkeit im Zimmer bereit. Das Frühstück war variantenreich, das Brot sowie die selber gemachte Konfitüre waren sehr lecker. Ein Aufenthalt in diesem schönen Hotel ist sehr zu empfehlen! :)

Reviewed Jun 26, 2024WONDERFUL, charming, traditional Swiss hotel in Sumiswald. The staff in the hotel were all FANTASTIC! Friendly, welcoming, caring, I can't say enough about the staff! Hotel is in a cute, small town about 45 minutes from Bern, about an hour and a half from other larger areas. This is a perfect escape from busy tourist areas. Rooms are clean, cozy, and traditional Swiss. Restaurant. Is wonderful. I wish I could share more pictures!

Reviewed Dec 9, 2023The breakfast offered a great variety. The staff were very kind and accommodating. We had time to kill between check out and our train do they let us hang out in the restaurant. The rooms were spacious. The restaurant provided delicious dinner
I had to use Google Translate for all the information provided in the room (regarding hotel services including breakfast hours). I also thought it was a little pricey for it not being peak tourist season.
