Sehr schöne Unterkunft, super sauber und angenehme Lage

Wir hatten einen Roller von der Unterkunft gemietet. Der Roller war in einem schlechten Zustand bzw alt. Gerade auch die Reifen waren alt und abgefahren. Wir hatten leider wenig überraschend einen Platten. Die Besitzerin wollte dann leider von uns Geld für den abgefahrenen, alten Reifen, mit der fadenscheinigen Begründung, dass wir angeblich durch Nägel gefahren wären. Das war jedoch nicht der Fall. Der Reifen war einfach nur sehr alt und demnach porös. Das ganze hat leider einen schlechten Eindruck hinterlassen. Außerdem waren zwei Hunde direkt vor bzw neben der Unterkunft dauerhaft (24h) extrem kurz angebunden, so dass sie sich nicht einmal richtig hinlegen konnten. Sorry, aber das ist ein absolutes "No Go".

It’s just ok, not worth the price.

Rooms are a bit dark and 2 poor dogs constantly chained to the property all day every day. heartbreaking. Wouldn’t go back just for that reason.

L’un des meilleurs lieux où séjourner aux Philippines!!! La chambre est grande, avec climatisation et ventilateur. Elle est également très propre car le ménage est fait quotidiennement. Les espaces communs sont jolis et calmes. La cuisine mise à disposition est très fonctionnelle, et est un vrai privilège ici. L’emplacement est parfait, dans une petite rue peu bruyante, mais à la fois à proximité des centres d’intérêt à pieds. La famille qui s’occupe du Riad est très serviable, toujours là dès que l’on a le moindre besoin, et à la fois très discrète. (Supplément un petit chaton adorable qui se promène dans le Riad)

Le wifi était correct, mais par moment un peu faible.

Everything. It was honestly perfect. The room was large and had so much storage, it was super clean, the rooms were cleaned every morning. I want to go back.

En general no me agradó casi nada, al personal casi ni lo vimos y la limpieza escasa.

-We loved the location, near Cloud 9, and shops around and restaurant as well but not in the main busy road. -The place was really clean and tidy, kitchen very equipped, everything you need is there. -The room was spacious and the bathroom big as well and clean! -The family taking care of the place was really sweet and helpful, the owner is really nice as well, we even extended 3 days at the end of our 10 days!

Only downside was the electricity shutdown sometimes but it happens all the time in the island, but they provided light that are charged so it wasn’t a problem!

Le dortoir est agréable, très propre et avec plein de rangements. Les séparations entre les lits sont très appréciables. Le personnel est à l’écoute et disponible. L’emplacement est parfait, au calme mais très proche des zones touristiques. Je recommande sans hésitation !

El lugar es muy familiar. realmente es una casa que sus dueños adecuaron como hostal y ellos habrían en ella. eso la hace acogedora, mantiene un ambiente tranquilo donde puedes hacer uso de los espacios comunes y mantener tu privacidad en las habitaciones. que son espaciosas y cuentan con baños individuales.

Puede ser un poco curiosa la dinamiza familiar si lo que buscas con este alojamiento es aprovecha los espacios como la cocina para preparar tus propios alimentos. Si bien tienen todos los utensilios a disposición, estan antiguos y muchas veces los espacios estan utilizados por la comida de la familia, entonces es difícil cocinarse.

Todo. Habitaciones amplias, limpias y con una decoración bonita. Limpiaban la habitación cada dia. Baño cómodo. Aire ancondicionado y ventildor en la habitación. Las zonas comunes siempre estaban ordenadas y limpias. Buena connexión wifi. Personal muy atento. La família que lo lleva son un 10.

Muy sucio había cucarachas gigantes el hotel no puso remedio ni para desinfectar ni para eliminar el problema ya que les dejamos las evidencias un par de días, nos encontramos una cuchilla usada en el baño ningún día nos cambiaron toallas o sábanas y uno de los días ni si quiera hicieron la cama

Lovely family. Shared meals with us. Clean & spotless. Room cleaned and fresh linen and towels provided every 3 days. Close to sunset beach & restaurants. Shared kitchen which we loved as we like to make an expresso coffee and breakfast.

The room is large and spacious, comfortable bed, new AC and large, renovated shower. Great room. The hostess is lovely! Makes you feel at home. The common space is comfortable and full of seating areas and poufs. Highly recommend.

Really nice property. Shared rooms have more individual space instead of bunks. The kitchen & fridge are available for use. Nice common area. There’s a small store onsite. Room was cleaned daily. Staff & owner were great and went above and beyond to help me when I lost my phone. Close to Cloud 9. Highly recommend a stay here!

Location is great for Surfing, even without a scooter is possible to reach everything by trycycle or by foot. Less crowded area. Family is super friendly, could take surf lessons with their surf instructor Lowe and he also gave me a tour around the island. Stay was way too short. Felt like home for me.

Would be nice to have shower gel in the shower but is just a little thing to complain about.

Probably one of the best hostel where I have been. It has everything we need in a shared room: some privacy, place to put your things (shelf, clothes rack, bed table…), shower and toilet inside the room and plenty of place to stock stuff. Extremely clean, they did the room almost every day. AC working the whole day if needed, important with this hot weather. Good location, next to everything but not in the noisy city center. People there is really nice and helpful. I can only recommend this hostel.

I had the best time here… the hostel itself is really beautiful, feels super cosy and the staff are really welcoming and friendly. The room I stayed in I shared with only two other people as that was the max capacity for it, perfect after staying in crammed hostels the previous weeks. You can really make yourself feel at home because the space you are given is so big, you have your own nightstand, a little closet/shelf and a small locker. Bathroom and shower are spacious too. Location is near Cloud9, perfect for surfing. Riad Masaya even has their own surf instructor and he’s great! Otherwise you have a couple good cafes and restaurants around the corner. General Luna is more lively but also only 10 minutes by tricycle/motorbike. If you want to rent a motorbike, you can even do it through the hostel. I wish I stayed here longer, I will book here again the next time I’m in Siargao.

To be honest, normally I'm not really a big fan of hostels because they're usually too crowded and noisy for me. But I booked spontanously and I didn't have much time to research other accommodations. I chose Riad Masaya because, as a solo female traveler, I wanted a safe and quiet place to sleep. And it was simply fantastic and exceeded all my expectations. The staff truly treats you like family; everyone is warm, friendly, and helpful without exception. A cleaning person comes every day and cleans the rooms and beds (and sometimes even tidies things up or folds the laundry, lol). There were many other solo female travelers in the hostel, and you immediately felt very comfortable. The rooms and the bathrooms are very clean, and you have enough of privacy thanks to the bamboo partitions between the beds. The warm atmosphere of the staff extends to the other guests, and everyone treats each other with respect and kindness. While the hostel is close to Cloud 9 and the beach, the party area is a bit too far to walk to. It didn't bother me much because I like to have some peace and quiet at night (which I think is a great plus). There's always someone driving you around on a moped or tricycle. Due to a storm, it wasn't entirely clear whether I would make my flight the morning of my departure, so the owner, Lorena, waited with me in the lobby for my transfer bus and cheered me up. She takes care of all needs immediately and is helpful and just a great host. I would have loved to stay much longer and would definitely return to this hostel.

Fantastic place, great staff and super location

Nice relaxed ambiance, lovely kitchen and relaxing area. A huge chalkboard with lots of information and kind staff who are eager to help. Comfortable rooms, fairly basic in terms of amenities but well decorated and very good aircon. Plus a good location for exploring cloud 9.

Bathroom is a bit basic but clean and functional

We loved our stay so much! The place was amazing. They have full clean everyday, the owner and staffs were great. You can also use the kitchen tools and everything for cooking. They made us feel like we were home. The best place so far. 💯✨

Friendly and inviting owners/staff. There is a shared kitchen area and living room. Location is really good, close to cloud 9 and restaurants/cafes.

Wifi in the rooms could be better, but it's okay in the shared area. Our room smelled a little moldy because we came there in December during the rainy season.

Location is good, it is near cloud nine and afam bridge. It offers you basic necessities. The property is clean and quiet. Its is about 30 to 45min away from airport but they offer airport shuttle for a reasonable price. The people and so nice and helpful. They can help you with the tours that you wanted. You can easily go around general luna, there are tricycle/ tuktuk available in the area.

Wifi is not working and there is no television but it is not a big deal because we want to enjoy siargao and not get distracted by social media and to get away with the noise from the city life.

The property is lovely. The people are amazing. Kitchen fully equipped and fresh fruit and vegetables available. Great common area and book shelve. Dorms are for 3 people and private rooms are spacious.

We had the bad luck of being in Siargao during a blackout that lasted for weeks and if the air conditioning is not available the rooms get very hot.

The staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The property was clean and accommodating. Close to all the major restaurants and activities.

I didn't have any negative experiences.

I booked this hostel because of the dorm that only has 3 beds. It was great, there was a separate shower and restroom and the beds were visually seperated. I‘ve been alone in the dorm most of my stay so privacy was no issue. The personnel was very friendly and helpful, there‘s free bananas and free use of kitchen :) AC works great!

While I was there, there was a problem with the deepwell. For 2 days we had no running water (but water supplied in buckets) and the following days there were works which was a bit annoying when at home during the day. But I don‘t think that will be a longterm-problem as water came back after these 2 days. I missed an outdoor-chill-area. The place to hang is indoors which makes it cooler but not as nice.

Staying at riad masaya was one of the best decisions I made here. I slept in the dorms, for some reason I was alone there the whole time. Had my own private space, organizing my stuff was comfortable, and there’s a locker as well. The shower and bathroom are separated and they are really good. Hot water always. Ate Inday and the rest of the staff are so welcoming and it makes the experience even better. It’s not on the main road but there’s still tuktuks passing by. The dorms are perfect for someone who wants quiet, comfort and privacy but at a good price.

There’s roosters calling in random hours and if you’re a light sleeper it might bother you.

Lorena and her staff were very good hosts. The kitchen is available with basic and good supplies to cook whatever you like. Felt very safe. Place was very clean. Location is not on the beach, but very easy to get to General Luna (town).

One night there was a power failure, but that happens sometimes in Siargao.

We were delighted with our stay at Ryad Masaya! The hostel was very clean, functional and tastefully decorated. The location is ideal: just a few minutes' walk from Cloud 9 (surf spot) and less than a quarter of an hour by tricycle from General Luna (main avenue). Beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, our room was cleaned every day. A really nice place to stay and relax with most friendly staff.

Like everywhere on the Philippines the roosters outside are really annoying…

Lorena helped us all the time to get the activities, motorbike or transfer we needed. The room was really big and the location very good, close to Cloud9 boardwalk. We would repeat 100%!!!

The ac working bad and the fan aswell every night turn on and turn off by 5 minutes was annoying sleep with that condition.

So very clean! Spacious rooms! Friendly people! And quiet at night. We really loved it here. The kitchen was big and clean, there is a little shop outside which is convenient, the common space is also very nice with clean pillows and so many books to choose from! Board games and a dvd player. Beautiful green plants. They cleaned our room every day, the bed was comfy, the shower nice! Airconditioning great!! Space to hang your clothes and lights you can turn off when you’re in bed. We all know how nice that is ;) Also far enough from the noice and very close to where it happens. The WiFi was good and they had a solar light in case of a black out that’s happens every now and then in Siargao. We had it twice in one week for just a couple of hours. Part of the package! You will be fine ;) We would definitely come back here!! It’s all you need :)

The hostel was very cute and the staff was exceptionally accommodating. We were able to rent a motorbike directly from the property and the location was very close to everything.

Staff is very kind, they even made coffee for us. The place looks really pleasant.

Such a lovely place to stay. Clean, great location, great decor, lovely staff and very helpful. Definitely my favourite place I’ve stayed at since travelling the past 2 months. Highly recommend!

Place has very original Morocco-theme decor. Quite unexpected in Siargao, but it works! Upon entrance you are greeted with a huuuuge library free to use for all guests, which I made full use of. Facilities are great, place is kept spotless and is away from the crowds, but 5 min by scooter to everywhere! Staff has been very helpful and accommodating! I can wholeheartedly recommend it and will definitely come back! Pro tip: Everyone gathers at night at the first bridge to watch the sunset and is suuuuuper crowded (btw bridge is also like 5 min ride). But just keep going and in 5 mins you will arrive at a 2nd bridge, which usually you can have almost all to yourself. Pro tip2: Ask staff about surf courses!

The location located beside a local school and community basketball court which makes the place very lively with very good community, daily necessities are easily access within that location far from the noisy crowded tourism road
