Blackbush Beach Resort

Unbelievable resort in such a beautiful location - thought of everything down to the little touches - like epsom salts for the bath, to cream and milk in the fridge for coffee and maps in the lobby. Will definitely stay here again when visiting! One of the nicest hotels we have stayed in

Dès l'arrivée, nous avons été ravis par l'endroit! C'est juste magnifique.Notre suite était au troisième étage avec vue sur la mer. La salle de bain est immense avec des planchers chauffants , une énorme douche vitrée et un bain sur pied. L'établissement compte 4 spas, 1 spa de nage et un sauna avec une vue imprenable sur la mer. L'accès à plage est directement derrière l'hôtel . C'est vraiment un séjour parfait pour les couples en quête de liberté et de tranquillité.On Y reviendra certainement a notre prochaine visite à l'ÎPE. ❤️

Seul point négatif, Le restaurant Fluke situé sur le toit n'est pas ouvert les dimanches et lundis donc nous n'avons pas pu faire cette merveilleuse découverte. Une prochaine fois peut-être. 🙂

This is a spectacular property, absolutely worth the price. The staff helped us get our luggage to our room, and gave us an overview of all the amenities - top-notch service. The rooms are as beautiful as the pictures show, the bathroom was totally upscale, and the view from the floor-to-ceiling rooms stupendous! We even got to watch the Osprey nest with four young ones from our window and the live-cam. The walk around the Dunes is a must, as well as eating at the associated restaurant - Fin Folk Food - fabulous service and amazing food with a view. We enjoyed the fire pit, and even used the included laundry facilities, but did not get a chance to enjoy the pool, sauna, and hot tubs - but they looked amazing! Breakfast was even great - lots of options.

Absolutely Nothing!

Property was clean, modern, located centrally to most of what we wanted to see in the island. Beach was beautiful and quiet. Hot tub and sauna was a bonus! Staff were extremely friendly.

Beautiful design and nice size room with comfortable furniture. Staff were super friendly. I think it will be wonderful, once it grows up.

No service during the day to clean or replace dishes and cups we used. Had to use dirty cups on day 2. Breakfast was below average. Parking lot wasn’t paved, so pretty muddy.

L’endroit est magnifique. L’hôtel et la chambre avec vue sur la baie étaient plus que parfait. La chambre était spacieuse et tous les accessoires sont de qualité. Les bains saunas privés avec vue sur la baie sont très plaisants après une longue balade sur la plage. Les produits Oneka complètes l’expérience.

Nous avons séjourné alors que le restaurant principal était fermé alors comme le site est un peu éloigné, le seul restaurant est le Fin que nous avons peu apprécié. Très ordinaire même pour un casse-croûte. Le petit déjeuner continental était le même pendant 3 jours et convenable mais ordinaire.

The rooms are spacious and the proximity to the shore are both good points.

The property is still raw and in the process of development. The breakfast is meagre and unappetizing, and the space cannot accommodate more than a few couples at a time. However, we had a good dining experience at Fluke. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Just a beautiful resort. We had an awesome room, top floor with balcony. View was spectacular. With binoculars, could view the action at the osprey nest. Gorgeous local art displayed throughout. Nice, thoughtful breakfast.

Breakfst could have more protein too many carbs..

Ask to speak with the Manager just to dicsuus some hot tub issues but they responded with she (Laura Morneau) was in meetings for the afternon or on a conference call for teh afternioon

Two things I didn't prefer was the brightness in the morning from the curtains being too thin. And, only cause it was winter when we stayed, the placement of the parking lot to the main entrance. But in summer, would not be a concern

Place is beautiful would go again . Dunes are amazing as is the beach . Enjoyed the food at the fin restaurant and the evening are spectacular with the sunset and the fire pits outside the lodge.

Parfait!

Customer service? We paid over $700 for two rooms. The customer service- condescending. Don’t arrive at night- there is very poor lighting to get to the front of the hotel. My 76 year old mom fell going up the stairs. We checked in late- asking for a late check out 12:00 instead of 11:00- the front desk attendant wasn’t knowledge (of really anything about the resort) and said you need to ask in the morning Right in the morning I ask for a the late check out ( the “welcome” letter is very friendly and makes a guest feel welcomed, appreciated and a late check out it isn’t an issue) as my mom needs more sleep as the time change is effecting her. The declined her room but I could get a late check out in one room. Both rooms the exact same… same view, layout etc The front desk attendant said “if she does not leave she will be charged for another night, as a guest wants that specific room.” We are talking an hour later check out so my mom can get some. More sleep for the $700 we paid to stay for 12 hours! Why were we not told that specifically room 307 could not have a late check out when we checked in (10 hours before) The hotel isn’t close to being full for the next night. I emailed management, nobody got back to me.

Location and view, are amazing. I booked this hotel expecting a premium experience given the high price. Unfortunately, the front desk service was extremely disappointing. During check-in, the staff seemed uninterested and dismissive, offering no greeting. This poor service overshadowed the rest of my stay and left me questioning the value of the hotel.

The beauty of this setting is only exceeded by the lovely staff, marvelous amenities, (such as bicycles, spa, healthy breakfast, marvelous beach walks,) and a marvelously appointed room! There is an extensive detail of attention for the guest: a true respite! It is a grand pleasure to stay here; the only disappointment is that it was not for a longer time frame!

Beautiful facilities. Tranquil, modern, very spacious suite with deck perfect. A perfect stay for getting away and reaxing. We enjoyed riding the available bikes through the National Park, the quality of food at the Fin restaurant, the friendly and efficient staff, and the availability of a workout room, fitness and mindfulness classes, laundry, and hiking trails. Highly recommended.

A stunning part of the province. Really appreciated having an elevated view of such a beautiful landscape.

What an amazing location!!

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here. The views were amazing from our room of the beach. There is one restaurant and an ice cream spot right across the hotel along the beach, we enjoyed both of these. The hot tubs are brand new and the sauna was a really nice touch to enjoy outside in the evening.

This is a beautiful property. We hope to visit again! Thank you for extending your warm and generous PEI hospitality to us.

Peacefull

Lovely place to stay on the beach and closer to the attractions away from Charlottetown. Nice feel for PEI here.

My wife and I had a great weekend at Blackbush. It's a smaller upscale resort on an amazing beach. The adjacent casual dining restaurant had fantastic food in a laid back, beachfront vibe. Our room was very spacious, had an ocean view balcony, and was very clean. We will definitely be back!

This is going to be a mixed review. PROS: The hotel is situated close to one of the most beautiful spots in PEI. The hotel is an attractive and well designed modern building. The SUITES (there are two on each floor) have stunning views of the sea. CONS: The building is poorly situted on the site. The regular rooms on one side have decent oblique views of the sea. The rooms on the other side, which are the same price, have a poor view overlooking the parking lot and a large open space which is planned for the construction of a dozen private homes. We had booked for 6 nights and were given a room on the "bad" side of the hotel. In order to make our long stay enjoyable, we paid to upgrade to one of the suites. One comes to this rather pricey hotel for the views. Insist on getting a regular room on the "good" side or splurge on a suite.

Beautiful property on the beach. Kids loved it. There are some dining options on site, in neighbouring towns and Charlottetown (which is 25 mins drive away). Hope to return in future!

We had a fantastic stay! The hotel was clean, modern, and very comfortable. The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to both the beach and the bay. We really enjoyed the continental breakfast, which offered a great variety to start the day. The staff were friendly and welcoming and lots of thoughtful extras—complimentary beach chairs, towels, bikes, laundry, and a relaxing hot tub. Overall, an excellent experience—we’d definitely stay here again!

A ce tarif, une piscine complète et non un spa de nage est un minimum. Pas assez de transats au spa. Le restaurant de plage à proximité (FiN Folk Food) fait partie du complexe hôtelier et est le seul restaurant immédiatement accessible. Il s'agit uniquement de fast food, très peu gastronomique et la qualité des mets et cocktails laisse grandement à désirer. L'attente est de plus très longue (ouvert à tout public). Pour ce type d'hôtel "premium", un restaurant bistronomique ou gastronomique est essentiel. C'est une manque inacceptable et rédhibitoire pour un nouveau séjour, surtout que des hôtels à quelques kilomètres proposent de la bien meilleure cuisine. Finalement, ce "beach resort" n'inclus pas de plage privée ni possibilité d'avoir des transats/parasols sur la plage. Ceci me semble à nouveau essentiel pour un hôtel de ce type et est un second manquement grave au vu du tarif pratiqué.

The room was magnificent! Oversized, comfortable, stylish! Enjoyed use of the outdoor hot tub and game room. Breakfast options were nice. Beach was within walking distance and beautiful. We had room 102 with balcony. Unfortunately the views are good but a restaurant hinders view and the air conditioning system is next to balcony. Some noise from that but bad visual. Ask for room on 2nd or 3rd floor. No meats available at breakfast. Hot tub was stuck at 98 degrees. Regardless, loved the vibe, staff was great, area was peaceful. Great restaurant across the street.

Best stay ever on my roadtrip. Highly recommend staying here. Worth the price.

This property is situated on a tail end of tge string of gorgeous National Park Beaches making the beaches more private and less busy. The resort offers on site recreation such as bicycles, kayak, yoga. The Finn restaurant offers a variety of dishes and a delicious clam chowder and lobster roll. Staff at the resort are warm, attentive and very welcoming. We spent 6 wonderful nights at this resort and would highly recommend it.

Pure magic!

The rooms were beautifully appointed, large beds, the view from the floor-ceiling windows was fabulous. The staff was very helpful too. It was close to the beach and ocean, which was nice.

For the amount of money charged for the room ($600.00), we would have liked a choice of a hot breakfast to be included, which would be commensurate with other similarly priced places. Having a higher-end restaurant on the premises would add value too. The restaurant offered to us was a 5-minute walk, was very crowded, and had limited food choices.

By far the nicest rooms (at least on the East side) and we stayed at The Inn at Bay Fortune as well. Brand new, well designed, awesome beds. While clearly five stars I would say they are still finding their way with certain small details and things still being installed etc. Surprised the rooftop is not a restaurant outside of breakfast but maybe there are plans. Fin Folk across the road covers that anyway. Great little gym, yoga studio and the only place we stayed that had a washer and dryer! Overall excellent.

We stayed at Blackbush while riding our bicycles across PEI for 5 days. This hotel was such a welcome respite for our tired legs. It was top notch-so comfortable and welcoming. The beach was incredible and was just a short walk from the hotel. I was so grateful to the staff for making a reservation for us at Fin Folk. The dinner was delicious and we didn’t have to wait at all, despite there being crowds of people outside. We loved the hot tub and heated spa pool and best of all, there was a washer and dryer where we washed all our dirty biking clothes, so we left the next day feeling (and smelling) refreshed and clean! I would definitely recommend a few days at Blackbush!

Great location, scenic and fabulous hotel with great attention to detail on room and building decor. Bonus has EV Charger for your vehicle (free).

It was a wonderful place for a romantic vacation. Walks on the beach was what we were looking for. Staff was very attentive and the breakfast was severed continental style with fresh baked pastries. We will be coming back.

Comfy beds and view from our room

For a property this expensive ($600 US per night) I was expecting dining options to match the quality of the room. Breakfast was in a lovely room but the options were in keeping with the continental breakfast options at a Holiday Inn! Despite booking our dinner in the evening and arriving exactly on time , we were asked to wait outside the ‘partner restaurant’ 5 mins walk away on a very cool evening for 30 mins for the next table to become available! We were told there was no room at the bar. Eventually we were seated at a table next to the kitchen disposal area and the food we ate was average at best. Staff were sweet and wearing ‘Be Nice’ T shirts. Maybe they had experienced disappointed customers previously?

Beautiful hotel, amazing beach

Blackbush Resort is a beautiful and clean hotel located right on the water with plenty of supplies for the beach and other excursions. Friendly staff and a nice included breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely fantastic

If what you care about is proximity to beaches, a modestly modern, clean hotel, and very friendly staff, this may work for you if you don't mind paying the high luxury rates... You need to know that the marketing around this hotel does not match what you would normally expect from a luxury hotel, and that may be fine for some people. The hotel lacks some basic luxury amenities, like a real pool as advertised (It's just a small backyard exercise pool and hot tub outside, next to the hotel, that can only accommodate a few guests at a time.); It also lacks a fine dinning option... There is only a very good casual/picnic table style restaurant near by that serves mostly deep-fried seafood, expensive Lobster rolls, fish & chips, etc. For breakfast, the hotel serves dry continental style food with no real hot food options. The hotel gym is in a small dark room on the ground floor with equipment that is clearly too big for the space. For whatever reason, missed opportunity or otherwise, the orientation of the hotel only facilitates a full beach/water view for only a few rooms with balconies on the north side of the hotel (These are more expensive then the deluxe rooms you are led to believe have a beach view). Overall, this is a small, modest hotel in a great location with few missed opportunities to make it what it could be. We found the price high for what we got, but we made the best of it and found the facility reasonably comfortable and the staff exceptionally friendly.

We really enjoyed our time at the Blackbush Beach Resort! The location was beautiful and there were lots of places at the resort to enjoy the views. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was exceptionally helpful. Breakfast was delicious and the view from the breakfast room was so lovely. We would come back here in a heartbeat.

Loved the bikes and beach gear available to guests. The gear was very good quality and great service from the staff.

Our family, including our toddler, had a wonderful stay at the resort and highly recommend it! We booked the room with the bunk beds which were a huge hit. The provided breakfast was great, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location is great if you want a quiet relaxing getaway as there is not much in the area, but Charlottetown is only a short drive away. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to PEI.

Clean, modern resort with easy access to a popular restaurant (FiN Folk Food) and central to driving to other destinations in the area. Fully equipped villa - if we had stayed longer we would have definitely made use of the kitchen supplies. We used the washer and dryer which was very convenient. Suggestions: - the shower pressure could have been stronger - was hard to get even temperature throughout villa (very cold in hallway, hotter in bedrooms at night; had to leave door open while sleeping as a result) - beds are unnecessarily/unreasonably too high off the ground - pillows are large and firm, no variety Other than that, it was great and I would definitely stay again. Probably just some kinks to work out as you guys are a fairly new property.

Over rated for the price we paid. No view out the windows because they have not been cleaned in years. Had to make a reservation for the small hot tub and swim pool which both were cold and only got a half an hour in it.

An amazing, picturesque resort walking distance to the beach.

The staff at the property were amazing! The breakfast was devine and the property was gorgeous! They even have a yoga studio at the beach level, which made this stay perfection. Already can’t wait to go back!

Amazing experience, great staff, lovely grounds.

This is a very new property in its first year of operation. It seems a little incongruous as a modern glass and steel monolith by the north PEI beaches. Room was ok but lacked privacy, AC was hard to regulate, desk area too cramped, furniture not well placed for tv. Breakfast was marginal for a place of this cost. Staff was friendly and tried hard.

The property was brand new. Excellent location of very close to the beach would definitely go back again.

We loved everything - the cleanliness and area, food (Fins is a must try and Harry’s for nostalgic soft serve classics), quality and attention to details! Definitely would love to come back!
