Hasim ist wirklich der liebste Mensch, den ich in Indonesien kennenlernen durfte. War nur zwei Nächte dort, aber hab mich gefühlt als würde ich zur Familie gehören. Die Unterkunft ist wirklich einfach gehalten. Quasi ein kleines Abenteuer, aber total in Ordnung. Man kann sich bei Hasim einen Roller leihen. Er macht das Frühstück morgens immer selbst. Das Zimmer ist direkt nebenan am Haus. Oben Auf dem Dach hat er auch noch ein Zimmer. Ich hab aber das untere mit der AC bevorzugt 😬

He’s always happy to chat, share breakfast or dinner, and make you feel like part of the local community. If you’re looking for an authentic experience and meaningful time with locals, this is the perfect place. Hasim will make you feel like a lifelong friend :)

Een heel leuke ervaring aan overgehouden. Een super warm gezin dat je met open armen ontvangt. De kamer bevind zich boven hun huis en alles is openlucht (badkamer, wc, ontspan ruimte). Geweldig voor als je een beetje van avontuur houdt. Ze bieden ook lekker avondeten /ontbijt aan (heeft zijn eigen restaurant en kan dus zeer goed koken).

What an absolute pleasure it was to stay at Kunci Rumah. Hasim the owner of the house made us feel completely at home the moment we arrived. The upstairs room is such a unique stay that you won’t find anywhere else. With its amazing rice field views and its cozy vibes. Hasim and his wife made us wonderful traditional food during our stay. We even went to the restaurant to eat on our last day and let me tell you it was delicious! The location was great with a motorbike we did a day trip to Gili T. I can strongly recommend to stay here!

You wasn't hotel guest, you were a family guest.

Outdoor bathroom was something to get used to. Nearby mosque called people pretty loudly.

Quel honneur d'avoir pu faire parti de cette famille au cours de ces quelques jours. Ici vous ne manquerez de rien, que ce soit des délicieux plats cuisinés maison, des balades en scooter dans la montagne, d'une plage de sable noir au coucher de soleil, bref tout y est! Le lieu est magnifique, vous vous sentirez comme à la maison. Il est même difficile de le quitter ...

On a passé seulement une nuit et une journée chez Hassim Atini. On a été accueilli avec joie et bienveillance directement chez eux. Le logement se trouve sur le toit de leur maison vue sur rizière. Il est super charmant et agréable. Un vrai moment humain, beaucoup de discussion autour de repas, thé, dessert . Ils sont très généreux et ça se voit qu’ils sont content d’accueillir, de rencontrer et d’échanger. Plage de sable noir à 15 minutes à pied, si vous restez plus longtemps vous pouvez aussi prendre de scooter , visiter, voir des cascades. Ils sauront vous dire. Nous vous recommandons fortement de passer les voir vous ne serez pas déçu 🙂

Wahouuu que dire de ces 3 jours chez Hassim et Artini tellement cela a été notre coup cœur de Lombok, une immersion totale dans la vie d’une famille indonésienne. Nous avons été chouchouté, toujours à nos petits soins que ce soit dans leur Warung, que chez eux. Ils nous ont fait nous sentir chez nous et comme si on était de leur famille. Une vraie expérience de vie qui nous donnait même envie d’y rester bien plus longtemps. Je reviendrais sans hésiter dans leur Guesthouse et qui sait peut être même dans leurs nouvelles 😍 Prenez soin de vous mes amis.

The guesthouse was built by Hassim on top of his home. He is an incredibly generous host and makes a point that it is as much your home as it is his. He would regularly make food for us and took us to see incredible sunsets on the beech and in the mountains. This is the perfect base from which to explore Lombok and you couldn’t ask for a more authentic experience.

I was booked in with Hasim for a total of 3 weeks. It was my home base, so to speak, from where I started several trips to other islands. Hasim and his family looked after me perfectly. I had a lung infection in between and he accompanied me and translated for me when necessary. The food with his family and in his restaurant was excellent, traditional and very tasty. I felt very comfortable in his accommodation and can recommend Kunci Rumah to anyone who wants to get to know local life and is not expecting a luxury vacation. I will be back and am very much looking forward to seeing Hasim's family again. Uncomplicated and original - wonderful. Thnx Brother, Christian

Hasim und seine Familie sind sehr herzlich, offen und einfach ganz besonders 😍 Ich hatte mit den besten Aufenthalt meines Lebens. Nicht Luxus sondern einfach ausgestattet, gerade das machtces für mich aus, mitten im originalen Leben. Die Familie lässt dich mit teilhaben, es gibt sehr gutes Essen und Hasim hilft, wo er kann, damit der Urlaub perfekt ist. Für mich war es perfekt. Besten Dank Brother, für deine Hilfsbereitschaft und das du mir so viele schöne Dinge gezeigt hast. Und besonders herzlichen Dank, dass du mir einen neuen Sinn im Leben gezeigt hast. Ich komme wieder und freue mich jetzt schon darauf Euch Alle wiederzusehen.

Nous avons pu découvrir, lors de longues discussions, leur culture, leurs habitudes, qui ils sont avec une connexion forte et une spontanéité incroyable. Authentic experience with the best hosts! Hasan and his wife were just so lovely that it is difficult to describe. We arrived there after 3 day trekking on Mt. Rinjani- exhausted, hungry and dirty and they made us dinner, let us in their hot shower, washed and hanged our clothes! Also, the next day Hasan drove us to SPA Garden for the best massages and manicures, pedicures. Exactly what was needed after the difficult trek.

My only complaint would be the constant sounds from street dogs and surrounding Mosques (very early in morning and late evening), but it is nothing that can be fixed by the host.

Hassim and his wonderful wife welcomed me into their home with incredible kindness and generosity. He truly has a heart of gold. Staying with them was so much more than just accommodation – it was a deep and genuine cultural experience. Hassim also runs a nearby warung where the food is absolutely delicious, full of authentic Indonesian flavors. He took me to visit local friends, showed me hidden spots, joined me for beautiful sunsets, and gave me rides to many places. The most incredible accomodation ever! Two room - the one upstairs is the best I think - views over the patties and ocean. Full board, beautiful family and host. They are happy for you to do what you want :) very chill home stay. Great for solo travellers

Perfect place

I love this place because it's really really friendly, Hassim and Artini want you to have the best time you can have. They will cook for you and you will never be hungry, the food is so good because they own a restaurant and they are very good cooks. You will meet reel Indonesians and visit places without tourists thanks to Hassim who wants you to discover his Island that he loves. If you just want to chill and be alone don't go there, it's not a 5star resort but it's a real Indonesian family and you will be part of it.

I didn't like leaving this place because it really feels like family, first time I'm really sad because I genuinely love this family.

Hasim and Hatini were like our family away from home. We are so grateful for the kindness and generosity we received on this homestay. Hasim took so much pride in showing us around and teaching us about Lombok culture. We met a lot of his friends and ate all the food his restaurant (Tanjung warung.) This was the best food I’ve eaten in Indonesia! If you’re looking for a resort stay or hotel accomodation this place may not be for you. This is an experience more about culture snd cuisine and living with the most generous people in the world. After two nights we felt like family. Nothing was too hard for Hasim and Hatini. You made our trip truely unforgettable. Thank you for your time. We wish to be more like you.

Sometimes you find a place during your travels that feels like home. It’s the people you find around you who make this happen. Staying here in Tanjung with Hasim and Hatini left me with this sensation. In every way you might imagine, Hasim and Hatini went above and beyond to make me feel less like I was ‘staying’ and more like ‘returning’. Over just two days, they introduced me to an array of new foods, Dangdut music, and a heap of new Indonesian words. We explored the waterfalls together, enjoyed Ramadan meals together and met some of their family. I want to be this kind with people! Terima kasih atas segalanya. Aku tidak akan melupakanmu!

Azim gave the best welcome ever. His house is your house. Comfortable, clean and quiet. He took me to a secret waterfall that was beautiful, only people there. The food prepared was fresh and tasty. They went above and beyond.

This is not just a normal stay, this is as the name suggests, home. If you are looking for a comfortable hotel stay, this place might not be for you. If not, please read on. I don't usually write reviews, but the treatment I got here, I would feel bad not giving a clear 10/10. See this as more of a review of Hasim, probably one of the best hosts in Indonesia, then the room itself. I was welcomed in open arms, Hasim then took me around on his bike and treated me to complimentary food (for free). As I only stayed one night and already had plans in Tanjung, I got limited time with Hasim. But during my one night stay, he treated me for lunch, dinner, and a really nice breakfast. He is also good company and has a really good positive attitude, and I had a great time just chatting with him. Especially for a solo traveller like me, it's a pleasure meeting such a friendly soul and also learning a bit more about the place from a local. So especially if you are a solo/budget traveller, or a younger couple, looking for a local experience outside a comfortable hotel, this is probably the best experience (and value for money) you are going to get. If I ever go back I will 100% visit here again, and I'm so glad I was lucky enough to get this level of hospitality. There are not enough words to describe the beauty of this place and family. It was a home for few days. But a very lovely home. You guys have a beautiful garden in my heart now. I wish you all the blessings in this world we call home too! May we meet again :) love you all

Kunci Rumah is not your average Fancy Hotel. Kunci Rumah is a concept...is a concept of connecting beautiful people from around the world with the purpose of sharing experiences, traditions and constructing actual friendships...here I felt more like home. I now have a family in Indonesia and they're always welcome to my home as well. Kunci rumah is a homestay with a very authentic and kind family. No spa, no pool, no fancy room, but instead true experiences, family feeling, kindness and love. I couldn't recommend it more to people that are traveling for this kind of reason. I'm grateful for this place.
