Ce n’est pas quelque chose que nous n’avons pa aimé mais qui mérite d’être portée à l’attention des voyageurs. Le soir vous ne pouvez pas librement circuler dans le camp car il est ouvert et il y a possibilité de rencontrer des animaux type big five. Un ranger vous raccompagne à votre tente après le dîner.

Aan alles werd gedacht, de leukste plek waar wij ooit sliepen. Bedankt, Bee (en Laval in opleiding) voor de geweldige ervaring, en tot ziens!
Het avondeten vonden wij iets minder, maar we waren er maar 1 nacht, dus dit kan ook pech zijn geweest: lunch en ontbijt waren namelijk top.

Chegamos por volta do meio-dia, deixamos as malas na acomodação, almoçamos e já seguimos para o primeiro safari. A área da reserva é enorme e, desde o primeiro passeio, começamos a avistar uma grande variedade de animais e aves. Nosso guia, Juan, sempre fazia rotas diferentes, tornando cada safari único e aumentando as chances de encontrar novas espécies.
A acomodação é excelente: espaçosa, confortável e completamente integrada à natureza. Era comum ver animais passando em frente ao quarto, o que deixava a experiência ainda mais especial.
Ficamos na acomodação 15 e o Wi-Fi não funcionava muito bem por lá. Para algumas pessoas isso pode ser um ponto negativo, mas para nós acabou sendo positivo. Foi uma ótima oportunidade para desacelerar, desconectar um pouco das redes sociais e aproveitar mais tempo de qualidade juntos. Quando precisava de internet, conseguia acessar sem problemas nas áreas de alimentação.
Falando em alimentação, ela merece um destaque especial. A comida era excelente e parecia que estávamos sempre comendo! Começávamos com um café rápido antes do safari da manhã, fazíamos uma pausa durante o passeio, depois vinha o café da manhã completo, almoço, outra pausa durante o safari da tarde e, por fim, o jantar. Tudo muito bem preparado e servido.
Ao longo dos 6 safaris, conseguimos avistar 4 dos Big Five, faltando apenas o búfalo-africano. Com a enorme quantidade de animais espalhados pela reserva, entendemos que alguns encontros dependem de um pouco de sorte.
Foi uma experiência inesquecível, com uma equipe muito atenciosa, ótima estrutura, excelente comida e safaris incríveis. Recomendo sem hesitar para quem deseja viver uma verdadeira experiência de safari na África do Sul.
Engordei 2 kilos, pois comi demais hahahhah

The food was not great. Mom joked that we eat better at home. Cheap cuts of meat for stews. The chefs try but clearly “budget friendly meals” is the brief given. Was expecting better.
The bar was also not correctly stocked. There was no stock of items on the menu. Only one tot of whiskey left in all three different brands and no “replacements” available. The Poor barman was working without supplies- not ideal!
Could really have benefited from a coffee and tea station in the room for those early mornings and quiet afternoons.
Tried to get a cooldrink from the bar at 12h00 no one to be found. Our bar bill would have been much more if we could have had service.
We visited as a family in 2021 and the standards have seriously dropped in 5years it’s sad.

He made it possible for us to see soo many different animals! The huts were very comfortable! We could not wish for anything more. ( You could see animals from the pool!)

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Beautiful location, friendly staff, comfortable accommodation and the food was great. Animal sightings provided a fun experience being up close . Ranger Solomon was fantastic and he just added to the experience of what it should be in the bush. Other rangers Jimmy and Juan were also always friendly and helpful.
No coffee facility in room but that’s it.

Reviewed Jan 18, 2026Location was good, ponchos were great, prices were reasonable, some highlights in some sightings although rest were pretty average.
No safety briefing when first time in game vehicle, loud radio communication was distracting, there was no plan for the days game drive discussed or communicated with the guests, guide had limited knowledge or interest in birds, no confirmation from guide whether it was ok to move from a sightings, no understanding from guide for what photographers want when at a sighting. Food overall was pretty average compared to other similarly priced lodges, and we have been to many.

Le lieu est juste merveilleux : nous sommes situés en plein cœur de la réserve. Ce qui rend l’expérience inoubliable !
La route est chaotique ! C’est juste très très compliqué de s’y rendre avec une citadine. L’accès est impraticable sur 70km, surtout par temps de pluie.
Les repas sont quelconques.
La piscine nécessite un bon nettoyage !

Reviewed Nov 27, 2025Prachtige omgeving, superluxe tent. Hele leuke gamedrives. Het eten is eenvoudig maar verder prima. De sfeer is heel goed. Iedereen vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We hebben 2 hele leuke dagen gehad onderweg maar Botswana.
Alles was dik in orde.

Reviewed Sep 29, 2025Solomon heeft onze trip gemaakt!!! Wat een topper. Hij heeft ons zo veel geleerd en laten zien. De locatie is geweldig , prachtige zonsondergangen achter de bergen, de tent is weer eens wat anders. Wij hadden dit nooit willen missen!
Het eten is allemaal buffet vorm. Het had af en toe wat gevarieerder gemogen.

Reviewed Sep 8, 2025The game drives exceeded expectations and our Ranger Sol was amazing! We did 3 full days and each day we still enjoyed and had different experiences.
The room 15 we stayed in was beautiful, with an outdoor shower, great privacy and amazing view from the balcony and table.
Food was exceptional, thanks to the lovely cooks and the bar drinks were great too, thanks Jon.
De locatie! Het ligt, als je van de natuur en de dieren houdt, echt in een prachtig gebied. En een speciale vermelding voor onze Ranger, Jimmy!! Wat een topper is dat! Hij doet alle moeite om je de tijd van je leven te laten hebben op zoek naar alle prachtige en indrukwekkende dieren. En hij weet ontzettend veel van die dieren en van het (over)leven in de bush.
Eigenlijk was alles echt prima.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2025What a place! Amazing scenery, lots of wildlife, nice and friendly people... Our guide, Steven, was the best, : friendly, helpfull and loads of knowledge about life, the animals, nature... answered al our questions (and we had thousands of questions). Tents are well furnished, very good beds (with electric blankets!). Every evening there's an enormous campfire. The food was devine! We have 2 vegetarians in our family, and they received adapted meals. Those ladies really spoiled us !
We only stated 2 nights...
On the other hand: if we would have stayed longer we would defintely take extra kilo's (pounds) :-)
The safari tents here are absolutely amazing, superbly equipped, and offer plenty of space. There's electricity, Wi-Fi, an outdoor shower, electric blankets in the winter, and much more. Everything was very clean, and the food was plentiful and delicious. We especially enjoyed the afternoon game drive — so relaxing, in beautiful nature, and with amazing wildlife sightings.

Accommodation was comfortable. Staff was friendly. Joe, our Ranger, has so much knowledge and skills. He was awesome and so accommodating he went out of his way to ensure we saw all the animals possible. His driving skills are impeccable
Bedding was stained and mosquito nets are torn. The llibrary needs to be cleaned..

The safari was great and that's why we came.
Jimmy was five star
Food and other facilities have a bit more work to do.
Cleaning and food serving could step up a bit but also this is not one of those five star lodges.
Things are a bit broken and dirty and the plants are not very well kept.
With some extra work another star could be earned

Reviewed Oct 18, 2024Perfect destination for a quick break from Joburg. Camp and rooms were comfortable and well laid out. Staff were friendly and helpful. Decent selection of wines and other drinks. Breakfast omelets were delicious!
Nothing major wrong, but with a little more effort could be made better. Coffee breaks used a lot of single use plastic, and coffee options were very limited. Food was very simple.

If it wasn’t for the quality bush and animals and location it will be a very mediocre stay. The pits is the poor quality of the coffee never mind that there is no coffee in the bedrooms. They should definitely stress the fact that the only means of bathing is an outside shower. A real safari drive should include quality snacks guys, really, the dried out spring roll per person and a little bag of peanuts just doesn’t cut it, some biltong and droëwors is much more authentic.

Reviewed Jul 7, 2024From our arrival to departure we received the best hospitality. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The beds had electric blankets which came in very handy. Food was absolutely exceptional. The highlight was the game drive! We loved it and our guide Sophia was the Best!
When coming from Polokwane make sure to use Mokopane route (R101) and not the N1. Also take note there’s a Gravel road to the lodge.

Reviewed Jan 10, 2024The staff are lovely. Max our guide was very good. We had so much fun laughing and joking around between sightings and game drives. He is also very well informed and we learned a lot.
The animals in the park are in good condition and made for an excellent viewing experience.
We had booked 2 deluxe chalets, but it looked like we got only one deluxe chalet with an upstairs lookout. The door to the lookout however, could not be opened, it was missing a handle.
My mum and her niece were sharing that particular chalet and their bathroom did not have a door - awkward situation that needed to be navigated with one of the two needing to wait outside the chalet at times.
Their chalet also had a massive problem of flying insects. While our chalet was not too bad, the insects at their chalet made it almost impossible to have a shower after the evening game drive in the outdoor shower area.
Game drives every morning and evening we're included in our stay. It was excellent to be assigned to one ranger, who looked after us throughout our stay. Charles was a star!
The accommodation tents are super spacious and well-enough equipped.
Meals were good, and the bar was well stocked. Our only wish would have been to be able to stay much later around the campfire. Sadly, we couldn't do that as that would have kept our ranger up late into the night (you need to be accompanied to your tent, as there is no fence separating you from the game.

However, discerning palates seeking a more refined and diverse culinary adventure may find the current offerings falling a bit short of expectations.
In addition to enhancing the overall dining experience, the introduction of high-quality coffee and a diverse array of teas would undoubtedly elevate the establishment's appeal. A well-crafted cup of coffee or a selection of teas can add comfort to any culinary outing, creating a more immersive and enjoyable atmosphere for patrons.

Reviewed Dec 19, 2023The lodge and the rooms were beautiful. We loved the outdoor shower. Our guide (Charles) was excellent and very accomodating.
The food was pleasant but nothing fantastic, actually really basic with not much choice, but we did not go hungry.
We have been to many lodges before in the same price range and we found certain things lacking, for instance:
The snacks on the drives were shocking. There were only some rusks in the morning, no muffins or anything else. The after noon drive there were only meat samoosas when we told the lodge one of our party do not eat meat. The second day we took our own snacks on the drive. There was no water offered only the drink you specified for the drink stop. It is not expensive to open a packet of crisps. Most lodges normally give you some biltong and nuts and raisins etc . We found this very dissapointing. When returning from the drives there were no hot towels or wet facecloths to wipe your hands. It is the small things that make you want to go back.

No coffee and tea facilities in the rooms so you can't have a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise for instance or the stars at night in private.

Our Ranger Max was excellent. His knowledge about the animals was very good and at times he had a humorous way to present his stories.. Although he is very young he is definitely an asset to the company.
The drums that we expected to hear in the morning wasn't there. . Variety of the food wasn't really up to the best
