A whole vibe.. The Hosteller Chakrata. Stayed here for two nights and had a really good experience. The place has a peaceful vibe, the staff is friendly and always ready to help and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Waking up to the mountain views made the stay even better. Definitely a place I'd choose again if I come back to Chakrata.

The overall hospitality provided by the staff was extremely disappointing. The team appeared unprofessional and lacked basic courtesy, which significantly impacted the experience. The food quality was also below expectations, and the restaurant staff, in particular, were neither attentive nor accommodating, adding to the dissatisfaction. Additionally, the property seems to have water supply issues, causing inconvenience during the stay.

Stayed at this beautiful hostel in Chakrata and genuinely loved the vibe. The property is surrounded by peaceful mountains, fresh air, and insane views that make you want to slow down and just enjoy the place. The staff was warm, helpful, and made the stay feel very comfortable. The rooms and common areas were clean, cozy, and well-maintained. Perfect spot if you’re looking to unwind, meet fellow travellers, or simply escape city chaos for a few days. Definitely one of the most peaceful hostel experiences I’ve had.

Had an amazing stay at The Hosteller Chakrata! The property offers breathtaking mountain views and such a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for anyone looking to unwind in nature. The rooms were clean and cozy, the staff was warm and welcoming, and the common areas had a great vibe to connect with fellow travellers. Waking up to the fresh mountain air and scenic views was the best part of the trip. Definitely one of the most relaxing hostel experiences I’ve had!

Room size too small, noisy rooms, no soundproofing, staff was not available in night duty. Reaching the location is risky due to bad narrow road.

Secluded location, Calm vibes. The property is well-built and maintained. and such polite staff was a joy interacting with.

Food. With very few options available outside the hostel, given the secluded location. The quality of food was very average in comparison to other major Indian Hostel Chains.

There should be long bunk beds for tall people and the comforter is not warm. In winters single comforter doesn't do much.

I had a wonderful stay at The Hosteller Chakrata! The location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the mountain valley right from the property. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful—special thanks to Aryan for being so friendly and attentive throughout the stay. He really made the experience even more memorable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Chakrata!

Food pricing was bit on higher side and limited to time duration if you miss the window you manage on your own or you wait for clock to strike their cafe open time.

Overall property was good to stay for a few days. Can be considered again. But I found it a bit costly - room rent wise as well as the food price wise.

The prices of the food were too high. Also the name is 'The Hosteller' but it was more like a Hotel in terms of rooms types, no. of rooms, restaurant etc., but not all services were provided which are provided in a Hotel like 'room service'. Further if it is a hostel and food is also on self service basis, then at least food prices should be lower. Otherwise infra, ambience & location are good for stay.

Dining have to ordered through a Glu App/Website which is little bit a discomfort zone. Additionally, a convenience fee for every order is also a painful area. However, Mr. Shantanu was quite cooperative and generous person.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful place managed by Moon and Mahasen, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed, making me feel right at home. The room was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully decorated, offering both comfort and style. Everything was incredibly clean and well-maintained, which made a huge difference in my stay. The food was another highlight — delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Every meal felt homemade with special care, and there were plenty of options to suit different tastes. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, I looked forward to every dish. One of the best parts of my stay was the stunning view. Waking up each morning to such a breathtaking, peaceful scene was truly unforgettable. The surroundings were serene, and the atmosphere was both quiet and refreshing — the perfect escape from the busy city life. Everything about the place was designed to provide a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Moon and Mahasen went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect, and it truly showed. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, peaceful, and welcoming stay. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

The property was clean and well organised

Some amenities were not given like hand towels. For ordering from cafe, we cannot order separate items. We could only order according to the combos mentioned in the app which is not appreciable.

It’s newly built but comparatively costlier as they are not providing room service and you need to go to restaurant for every delivery

1) Mineral water bottles were not provided on welcome. Instead they are using water dispenser in each building, that was also not working and I have to go to another building to get water. 2) Bfast buffet was not available. They were giving just two options Water stops, paratha and Chole puri. Although lot of people were present. Also Bfast was not started till 8:45, we went in restaurant in 8:30 and they had just started preparing. 3) water stopped working in our washroom in morning time when my 2year daughter was bathing. Water flow was totally dependent on motor. Also that motor was running continuously from morning till 12am night, making it very noisy and not a comfortable stay as we had thought.

Just got back from a trip to Chakrata and had the best experience at Unbox Café! The view, the vibe, everything about the place was just perfect. What made it even more special were two amazing people from the staff—Moon and Mahasen. They were so welcoming, kind, and genuinely lovely to talk to. They really added a personal touch to the whole experience. If you're ever in Chakrata, make sure to drop by Unbox Café. Great food, cozy atmosphere, and the kind of people who make you feel right at home
