Een hele leuke ervaring, we sliepen in een berghutje. Hoe mooi was dit allemaal. Zeker van genoten. Lekker restaurant ook.

The self catering units could benefit from air conditioning units during the summer months because we were unable to open any windows due to the monkeys.

Essen war sehr gut. Die dort beschäftigten Studenten waren sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Sundowner Tour und wurde aktiv angekündigt sonst hätte man nicht gewusst, dass es die gibt. Es gibt die Möglichkeit für Wellnessbehandlungen.

Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn man vorab informiert wird, dass wenn man im Sog. Haupthaus ist, überhaupt keinen Ausblick hat. Die Bilder mit den Steinhäusern auf der Übersicht sind insofern sehr irreführend. Im Nachhinein kann man es wahrscheinlich irgendwie herausfinden, aber dass das eine mit dem anderen überhaupt nichts zu tun hat, war enttäuschend. Man kommt in diese Unterkunft nicht, um sich die Weinreben anzugucken im Hinterhof…-;) Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt nicht, Türschloss ist so wacklig, dass man seine Zimmertüren nicht abschließen kann, es ist sehr hellhörig - für das Geld, was sie mit den Preisen für die Zimmer machen, wäre eine Renovierung der Zimmer und Bad durchaus machbar! bei einer so abgelegenen Unterkunft wäre ein kleiner Kühlschrank im Zimmer zweckmäßig. Angestellten nicht in der Lage Hinweise zu Straßenverhältnissen oder Distanzen zu geben. Park bei Springbock wäre anderthalb Stunden entfernt, er ist in 25 Minuten erreichbar ..

Lack of WiFi access in the units. WiFi is becoming an important requirement especially when so many people are working off site and able to travel.

Die Ausstattung der Bergsuite war sehr geschmackvoll und mega schön. Man ist völlig überwältigt, wenn man die Räumlichkeiten betritt. Es fehlte an nichts, aber der absolute Hammer war die Lage. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist grandios und kaum zu überbieten. Wir haben in der Nacht 10 Sternschnuppen gesehen. Das Essen war superlecker und das Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Herzlichen Dank nochmals an alle!

Eine wunderschön gelegene Lodge. Mitten in der Natur. Ruhe und Entspannung pur. Eine tolle Küche. Ganz nette Betreuung.

Prachtige locatie en zelf catering unit. Goede service door personeel met zelfs een diner dat wordt bezorgd in het huisje.

Op terras een weerszijden van het huisje zijn stenen zitbanken gemaakt. Er zijn geen stoelen voorhanden die meer comfortabel zijn en meubilair van binnen mag niet buiten geplaatst worden.

Great location; lovely old manor house.

Gorgeous spot on the R355 out of springbok. The lands and views are stunning. Fantastic dinner and fantastic breakfast - wonderful staff. Fab sundowners in the lapa. Big comfy bed with good quality linen. Wood fireplaces roaring in the dining room which were just perfect for our midwinter stay. Enjoyed watching the weavers at work outside the window during brekkie.

We loved our stay! We stayed in the Manor House, a beautifully renovated homestead. Our room was spacious, stylishly decorated and the bathroom was stunning. We had a great view of the gardens and the surrounding countryside. We loved our walks, the super friendly staff and don't get me started about the food.... wow!

Die Mountain Suite war ein Traum! Lage und Ausstattung perfekt. Die Mahlzeiten waren hervorragend, der Service wunderbar.

Op ruime afstand van Springbok midden in de natuur gelegen prachtige lodge. Hele fijne nette en schone kamer. Prima bed en mooie badkamer. Wandelingen en een uitzichtpunt voor de zonsondergang behoren tot de mogelijkheden. Het eten en verzorging zijn hier van zeer hoog niveau. De kok verdiend een speciale vermelding, de gerechten waren heerlijk en alles was met zorg bereid.

Het zwembad is klein en was in April niet helemaal klaar om gasten te ontvangen. Desondanks heerlijk gebruik gemaakt van de ligbedden en terras.

The mountain lodges were beautifully created with exceptional views, staff were very friendly and accommodating to our group, the food was delicious and well managed, overall clean and comfortable with attention to detail.

Die Lage ist zwar etwas außerhalb von Springbock aber ruhig und entspannend.Das Essen war schmackhaft und das Frühstücksangebot umfangreich.

Beautiful building in wonderful surroundings. We stayed in the Manor House on a stop over coming back from the Richtersveld for a photography workshop. The property has an amazing viewpoint location and a lovely pre-drinks Lapa with commanding views of the sunset over the valleys below.

The pan music in the lounge got a bit much :) but that’s me nitpicking. There is very little not to like about Naries.

Lovely rooms, quite an experience staying in the mountain suites. Beautiful views, lovely staff, clean and comfortable. The staff were very generous and helpful for specific requirements we had and overall it was a great space to be in.

Spaciousness

No WiFi and lack of basic maintenance

We stayed in the main house and loved room 5. If you want to look at the stars you just need to walk outside a bit and the spectacular sky is all there. The walks are very well marked with proper paths. Such amazing views, and the view from the ‘viewpoint’ is 360 and quite superb. Spending time watching the oryx was a joy. We would love to return and hope to do so in the flower season.

Even though the Namaqua isn't currently in bloom, this is a special place. The atmosphere of bygone eras has been lovingly preserved. The staff was exceptionally friendly!

We had no hot water and the staff made no effort to fix the problem so we were unable to wash . No apology was offered

Het leek alsof er niet meer geïnvesteerd werd in het verblijf. Het terras was erg vervuil met bladeren en vogeluitwerpselen

Dies war unser zweiter Aufenthalt im Naries Namakwa Retreat. Auch dieses Mal wurden unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Wir hatten eines der beiden Selfcatering Chalets gebucht und alles so vorgefunden, wie wir es in bester Erinnerung hatten. Die Chalets sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, die Küche gut ausgestattet. Dass die Chalets nicht über eine Klimaanlage verfügen, ist überhaupt kein Problem. Obwohl die Tage heiss sein können je nach Jahreszeit, kühlt es auch im Sommer abends/in der Nacht so ab, dass ein angenehmes Schlafen möglich ist. Das Naries hat eine ausgezeichnete Küche, sodass wir von 3 Abenden für deren 2 das Nachtessen dazu gebucht haben. Das Personal ist äusserst freundlich, hilfsbereit und dies stets mit einem Lächeln. Die Umgebung ist wunderschön, die Gartenanlage bestens gepflegt. Oryxantilopen grasen frei auf dem Gelände und kommen sehr nah an die Chalets heran. Es gibt viele Vögel zu beobachten. Da wir am Abreisetag nur eine kurze Strecke zu fahren hatten, haben wir für einen späteren Check-out angefragt. Das war kein Problem.

Wir waren eine ganze Woche dort, was wohl ungewöhnlich ist, aber warum? Tolle Berghütte, super nettes Personal, exzellentes Essen, angenehmes Klima, sauberer Pool und ein freundlicher Besitzer. Wir fanden es toll. Erst waren wir wegen einer fehlenden Klimaanlage etwas enttäuscht, aber die war gar nicht notwendig. Auch bei warmen Wetter im Januar wird es abends angenehm kühl. Es gibt Oryxantilopen, zauberhafte Streifen Grasmäuse, morgendliche Klippschliefer und den schönsten Sternenhimmel der Welt

Location was amazing and the self catering cabin was very nice. It had a well appointed kitchen with utensils and a nice big space with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The decor was a bit old fashioned but still comfortable, although a point to note was no AC and fans only in the bedrooms. It was hot in the daytime, but cooled nicely for the evening. The main lodge was really nice, with cool decor and really lovely lounge and restaurant. We didn’t eat there as we had the self catering, but if we’d stayed more than one night we would have, as the menu looked superb.

Schöne Landschaft, abseits gelegen, das weiß man aber, wenn man dorthin fährt. Wir haben die Ruhe und Natur genossen, es gab schöne Wanderwege. Muss in der Blumensaison toll sein. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr gut.

Die Lage auf dem Spektakelpass war sehr schön. Toller Sternenhimmel. Das Guesthouse ist etwas ln die Jahre gekommen.

Ein spektakulärer Bungalow, den wir bereits vor 9 Jahren geniessen durften. Tolle Lage, sehr privat (nur 3 Mountain-Suites), mitten in der Natur. Abends ein fantastischer Sternenhimmel. Im Haupthaus werden Frühstück und Abendessen serviert, sehr lecker und mit viel Liebe zubereitet und serviert.

Kleinigkeiten. Keine europäische Steckdosen und kein Wlan auf dem Zimmer.

Wir haben im Herrenhaus übernachtet welches ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen ist. Es bräuchte eine Renovierung. Für zwei Nächte hat es gepasst. Die Cottages sind wahrscheinlich etwas neuer. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich und das Essen hervorragend. Ein Highlight ist Sonnenuntergang in der Gemsbok Lamp.

We loved the vibe of this old hotel, set in a wonderful garden. The staff were a delight, especially the manager and the landscape was transfixing, kinda like an extension to the garden. The walks from the hotel are magical and the fynbos are really quite special. Our room opened out onto a courtyard, so you felt quite independent of the rest of the hotel, which was there when you needed it.

Das Abendessen und das Frühstück waren hervorragend. Auch das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Man fühlte sich gleich wie zu Hause. Speziell sind noch die Nester der Webervögel im Garten und um das Haus zu erwähnen. Die konnte man sehr gut beim Nestbau beobachten.

prachtig domein en huis, ronde hutjes in de bergen, maar wij sliepen in the manorhouse. Grote kamers, heel grote badkamer met bad en douche (tip: tafeltje voorzien om toiletgerief op te zetten! Plaats genoeg) zeer goede wifi (ook op onze kamer), eigen terrasje, welkomstdrankje, half pension, heerlijk avondeten, heerlijk ontbijt, lekkere chocolaatjes op de kamer, zalig groot bed met 2 soorten kussens en elektrisch deken op bed , prachtige tuin ook

The location and the views from our pod room were amazing - one on the most special places that we have stayed in over the years. The meals were delicious and the staff very friendly and efficient.

Beautiful as usual.

I ordered a vegetarian dinner. Normally this was never a problem, I always received a vegetarian dinner. This time I could only get the main dish without the meat - leaving me with some vegetables and rice.
