Reviewed Aug 18, 2026The view was beautiful, and we enjoyed the front yard. The kitchen was a good size and had plenty of space for our family.
Unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing. We arrived at night, and finding the villa was extremely difficult because there were no clear signs or directions to guide guests to the correct villa. It felt like a mystery trying to find it in the dark. Better signs and clear directions would make a big difference to the guest experience. The reception service was also disappointing. There was only one staff member working, responses were slow, and at times we could not get an answer when we needed help. In addition, the electric oven was not working. We reported the problem, but for two days no one was able to fix it or provide us with a proper solution. For a self-catering property, having a working oven is important, especially for a family stay.

Reviewed Jan 2, 2026The location is amazing, beautiful view, inside was everything that we needed and all furniture was good.
The walls are too thin and we could hear in each room every sound from upstairs and from each room. Even a tiny cough 😅. Also the oven was a bit dirty and smelled pizza. We tried to bake morning rundstykker - and it was smell of pizza around whole floor 🫣

Veldig upersonlig stil.

important to knoe that the units at this place are very different from each other! We came because we liked the view in the pictures, but in the unit we got there was no view at all - only the roof of the nearby unit.

Reviewed Aug 17, 2024The size of the cabin and the view were great
I recently had an extremely disappointing stay at Voss Resort. First, the host doesn't include bed sheets or coverings in the booking price, and I had to pay extra to rent them. When I arrived after 8 PM, the reception was closed, so we had to spend the first night without any linens. The cabin smelled terrible, particularly the bathrooms, which stank despite my efforts with air fresheners. The reception building had a dining area but no restaurant or cafeteria, only offering soft drinks and ice cream during limited hours. This was particularly inconvenient given the isolated location, forcing us to drive into town for food and groceries. The kitchenware was in poor condition, and we had to thoroughly clean the few usable items. The worst part was the checkout experience. The host exaggerated a tiny scratch on the dining table, demanding payment as if it required replacing the entire table. They then charged me an exorbitant NOK 1,337 for an hour of cleaning, which was clearly an attempt to squeeze as much money out of guests as possible. This experience left me feeling extremely unwelcome, a sharp contrast to the usually friendly and hospitable nature of Norway. I would strongly advise against staying here.
