Location and cleanliness

The location of the property was quite beautiful and scenic. Moreover, the staff were very cooperative and helpful. Good facilities and services and a decently well-maintained property. The possibility of bonfire at the terrace made the stay even more worthwhile.

Online booking system for food was not operational. This could be looked into.

Staff is very supportive. Ambience is good. Rooms are very clean to stay. Nice location.

There is nothing to dislike

My experience was top notch. The view from the Hosteller's balcony and co working space is just amazing! I came during late March. The rhododendron tree right next to the Hosteller was in full bloom. They also gave us complimentary Rhododendron juice which is a local delicacy! Even though they don't have local Himachali thali on their menu, when I personally requested for one, the chef kindly obliged. The food was served with a lot of warmth and the staff were always kind and courteous. My stay was a relaxed and laid back one. I went for a small hike through the village just ahead of the hostel, as instructed by the staff. The panoramic view of the snow clad mountains was breath taking! I would highly recommend The Hosteller, Khajjiar for a peaceful and wholesome stay!

This is a beautiful property in a beautiful location. The views you get there are terrific. The Wifi was great throughout the whole stay and each staff member was really friendly and helpful.

I'm not Indian and all the payments here as well as the check-in are handled electronically. And the system didn't want to accept payments from my card (even though my debit card is perfectly valid.) I also felt that doing everything electronically is actually more time-consuming and it is kind of discriminatory towards the elderly (last year I stayed at another Hosteller with a friend who is 63, when he found out he had to check in and order food through the app, he really wasn't pleased).

This is a gem of a hostel. I was a bit afraid that Khajjiar would be a bit too touristy (which might be true for the meadow) but the area where the property is located, is actually secluded and very calm. I loved interacting with the staff members as they were fun to be around and really helpful. I had to take part in some online meetings too and the wifi worked great. The food was really nice but at times too spicy.

Everything here is electronical (checking in, ordering food) and I actually think it's more time-consuming than ordering food in person and checking in normally. Also, my debit card didn't work here (even though it's valid and it works otherwise). If you make everything electronical, at least make sure foreign guests can also pay without problems.
