I was in Ladakh for the Ladakh Marathon and stayed at Nature Palace Farmstay for 10 days. The property is right on the marathon route, so for me it was the perfect place to stay and train. It’s quiet, peaceful and away from the usual tourist rush. The room had everything I needed for a 10-day stay — hot water, cups, basic stuff you need, and even Netflix and YouTube Premium. 😄 Small things, but they make a difference when you’re staying for so long. But what really made the stay special was the family. They were so warm from day one and made me feel like I was staying with family, not at a homestay. They even had a wedding at home while I was there, and I was made to feel completely part of it. And the food! I had a Ladakhi breakfast every morning, and the khambir was honestly one of my favourite things. It also worked perfectly as my pre-race carb meal. The family really went out of their way for me. The owner dropped me at the marathon start line early in the morning, picked me up after the race, and even dropped me at the airport when I was leaving. I came to Ladakh for the marathon, but I’m taking back a lot more than just a marathon medal. Really grateful to the entire family at Nature Palace Farmstay. ❤️

This quaint homestay is an absolutely wonderful. It offers the best of both worlds: 1. the peaceful, serene charm of a lovely farmstay away from the hustle and bustle of Leh, yet close enough to easily access the town. 2. The property is beautiful, incredibly comfortable, and equipped with all the modern amenities you could possibly need. I have to highlight the amazing, home-cooked food—it was completely top-notch! Every single meal served here was delicious, fresh, and truly memorable.
Everything, from getting a welcome note from the property a day before check in, to the A rated service from Arif was perfect. The facility is tastefully decorated. The food was top notch.
The last 200 meters drive to the property, seems as if you are going into the woods
Arif is very good host...

Nature palace is a serene, calm and peaceful stay. I had a wonderful stay.
What a lovely and very peaceful place to stay in Shey! The owner Arif was very quick to respond to my messages and very helpful when I had any questions. I felt very welcomed at the house. Wonderful and very hospitable family. Arif went out of his way to make sure I had an excellent stay. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. They also have a menu available with vegetarian and vegan options. The food was so delicious! Would highly recommend to stay here if you're looking for a place outside of the hussle and bussle of Leh!
Nothing, it was all excellent!
This stay at Nature Palace Farmstay was remarkable for the host's genuine hospitality and the exceptional service standards offered. Arif, the host, was amazingly responsive and thoughtful, and was constantly striving to improve the stay - ably supported by his parents. The room was spacious and well appointed, the bath and toilet was spotlessly clean and the complimentary mini-toiletry packs was useful. Despite the rural ambience the washing machine, hot geyser and superfast wi-fi made life easier. There was uninterrupted power supply but the local power cuts sometimes affected geyser and larger appliances. Nestled in a small village near the Indus river, this a quiet farmstay where we wake to the sounds of birdsongs and riverflow. That said , the final approach to the farmstay is somewhat muddy and might be a small struggle especially if it rains. Authentic, homely Ladakhi food cooked by the matriarch was tasty and healthy. Her passion for food was reflected in each dish. For example, the taste of the local bread Khambir made by her - eaten with omelette and dollops of butter - will grow on you! And this food is genuinely farm to fork - most of the vegetables used here for cooking are grown in their fertile farm patch. The patriarch will happily give you a tour of the tiny farm with infectious enthusiasm. The standout feature of our farmstay experience however remains the openhearted, effortless hospitality of the host. Thanks for a 10-star experience Arif!
Peaceful location, big comfortable rooms, tasty homemade food, just wonderful!
This was my second visit to Nature Palace Farmstay, and once again, I absolutely loved it! The amazing hospitality is what brought me back—they truly feel like family now. The warmth and kindness of the people here make every stay special. The food is mouth-watering and always a highlight of the experience. It's the perfect escape for peace and authentic charm. See you again soon!
It was just perfect
Nature Palace is a beautiful place to stay in peace. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The view from there leaves you speechless. The hosts are kind and always available. An experience worth repeating.
Nothing. Everything was good
One of the best places to stay in Ladakh area which oozes the charm of rustic life of a local, far from the hustle bustle of Leh, there is so much to absorb from the great food to the sound of the rivulet (which is actually Indus waters) Add to it the high speed internet availability, a warm and welcoming host, it sums up to unparalleled comfort in the lap of pristine nature

Nature Place Farmstay is a hidden gem for those looking to unwind and reconnect with nature without compromising on comfort. The WiFi is surprisingly fast at 100 Mbps, making it perfect for remote work or sharing your serene getaway online. Nights here are absolutely magical—clear skies reveal a blanket of stars, and on one evening, we were even lucky enough to spot the rings of Saturn through a telescope provided by the host! The nearby Indus River adds to the tranquility, offering peaceful walks and stunning views at sunrise. The food was another highlight—fresh, locally sourced, and full of flavor. Every meal felt like a home-cooked treat. If you’re looking for a place where nature, comfort, and a touch of the cosmos come together, Nature Place Farmstay is it.
Our stay was truly unforgettable! Nestled near the serene Indus River, the location offered breathtaking views and peaceful surroundings. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Nights were magical—clear skies filled with stars, and we even spotted Saturn’s rings through their telescope! The rooms were clean, cozy, and had excellent WiFi, perfect for staying connected. The local food served was delicious and made with love. Every detail, from the service to the hospitality, was flawless. A perfect blend of comfort, nature, and authentic Ladakhi warmth!
First and foremost the location is nestled in peace with a resplendent view, literally in the lap of nature with Indus right infront of the property. Food and hospitality is beyond words with local tastes and wide assortment sitting in an atmosphere of local tapestries, carpets and local cutlery . Not to miss 100Mbps WiFi always helps The nights are lovely with the breeze and calmness and wonderful view of Starry night and even the Saturn ring. Kudos to the owner family who has put a astronomical telescope in the property besides their heart in the hosting
Nothing luckily.
Beautiful rural setting, clear skies and amazing hosts.
When we reached Nature Palace Farmstay, the youngest member of our group exclaimed that it was the best place that she stayed at and it was a combination of home and a hotel! This was not far from the truth - Nature Palace is a lovely home with all the amenities that you would get in an excellent hotel. It is located amidst willow trees, far from city life which makes it a very serene place. The rooms are beautifully designed and furnished with lots of sunlight and great views. The bathrooms are large with separate changing areas and hot water at all times. In addition to all the amenities, there are also games for kids which kept them entertained during our stay at Nature Palace. All the food we had there was superb especially the Ladakhi cuisine. Everything was freshly made at home which tasted wonderful. The hosts are warm and hospitable and we really enjoyed interacting with them. We will definitely visit again!
Absolutely nothing!
Fantastic host and healthy and freshly cooked meals. Dark sky with the milky way was too good to be real.
Beautiful view from room, good food and spacious rooms. They have a telescopes which was handy for night sky gazing esp. Saturn’s ring. Worth the visit.
