Our staff were happy with the accomodation. It was very close to where they were working and there is ample parking for our work vehicles. Hosts were very good to deal with. Excellent communication. Will definitely book staff there again if available. Thank you!

A truly lovely stay - we booked on behalf of our touring theatre company, who had an excellent time. The Nutshed is a lovingly converted open-plan cow shed - everything is very new and tidy, the beds were comfortable and it had great shower pressure. Would absolutely stay again.

As dairy farmers, we can appreciate the outstanding work that has been put into turning this from an old milking shed to this beautiful home. It was home, spacious, beautiful open-living, there is almost nothing to fault!! Not far from beaches, small drive to town. We will be back!

There were a couple of roaches on the first night but we didnt see anymore, so most likely just wanderers from outside. Which is to be expected rural.

This accommodation was absolutely fantastic. Set in a quiet, private rural location, it was peaceful and relaxing while still being only 5 minutes from the beach. The place was extremely well stocked — ample toiletries, laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, plunger coffee, and herbal teas. There was so much provided that we didn’t even need to use our own products. Plenty of towels were supplied — enough to use a fresh one every day. The house comfortably slept 11 people, with huge communal lounge areas and a big-screen TV perfect for Netflix and relaxing together. The BBQ area was massive with plenty of seating, great air-conditioning throughout, and everything was clean and well set up. You won’t regret staying here — highly recommended.

The host made checking in easy for us. This house was beyond our expectations. Everything you need if staying away from home for a few days. Nice and spacious. Great house for a big group. I wish we had more time to explore the property but our schedule just didn’t allow this for us. I would definitely love to stay again.

Hubby and I just spent 2 nights here. What an absolute treat. The home is very beautiful and clean with all the amenities +. The location itself is so peaceful and serene and you're probably no more than 5 minutes away from the beach and whakatane town. Excellent value for money.

The Nutshed is an absolute gem of a place. It was a warm welcoming space beautifully decorated with a modern fully-equipped kitchen. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a place to stay in the Bay of Plenty area that is a little of the beaten track but still close to Whakatane.

Very peaceful stay, serene area. Neryda is a lovely host. Plenty of space. Comfortable furniture. Plenty of bedding, and towels. Huge bathtub!!!! I wish every place I've stayed at had a bathtub that big. Unfortunately I didn't get to use the bathtub but you should definitely try it. Outside is beautiful and fresh.

The outdoor furniture including the umbrella needs to be cleaned every few days or under tight cover or they will become infested with bugs. They were full of cockroaches, wētā, earwigs - my husband cleaned them out. But bugs are to be expected when living in country style homes.

The location is ideal for anyone looking to unwind, it’s tucked away from the hustle and bustle, offering total privacy and peace. One of the standout features for me was the massive backyard, which felt like a hidden orchard. It was full of fruit trees, and I have to admit, it was impossible not to pick and enjoy a few! The space felt homely yet spacious, and it was clear a lot of thought had gone into creating a welcoming environment. A perfect retreat for anyone wanting to reconnect with nature and enjoy some quiet time.

Great location. Plenty of fruits and nuts to pick from the Host's Farm. Clean and spacious house to stay. Large open living area with good size bedroom with comfortable beds.

Loved the place, but some suggestions - good water pressure, but the shower head can be changed to accommodate that. May be tint the living area windows, so people from outside cannot see inside - provides a bit of privacy. You have created a lovely staying place, and I highly recommend it.

Everything. Absolutely awesome place. Took us 30 seconds to book a longer stay, it was that good. Gutted to leave. Could have stayed for weeks on end. The kitchen was superb, both bathrooms were beautiful, beds were so comfortable. Living area was comfortable. And outside? Wow!

We had to leave it? There is nothing whatsoever to not like about this fantastic place.

The Nutshed was a spacious and lovely home that our family truly cherished during our stay. It was perfectly suited to our needs, and we would gladly return in the future. We especially loved the opportunity to pick fresh fruit and nuts on the property, which added to the experience. The house itself felt warm and inviting, with a well-equipped kitchen that provided everything we required. The freshly squeezed juice was a thoughtful touch that made our stay even more enjoyable. It's the little details like these that really make a difference.

A very homely feel to the place, and very private. I loved the fact it's a converted crashed, so has an interesting history.

We loved the fresh citrus fruit fruit you will never find on a supermarket shelf or in markets. What a joy to experience such beautiful fruit. The silence of this peaceful place allows for the best human experience possible you can hear yourself. Definitely making this our go to spot the value for money is unbelievable at least once to twice a month. Looking forward to our next stay. Thank you very much nutshell.
