Beautiful view, but staff is weird. They apply a random 3% credit card charge and tell you about it after you book and can’t cancel, they shut their gates post 10:30 and you have to call the guy to get in, you can’t order food at their restaurant past 8pm, the guy gives you guilt trip for turning on the generator when there’s no electricity. But the chef and internal staff are nice and helpful, and the view compensates for the unusual behaviour

Ein netter Manager und richtig leckeres Frühstück – vor allem das sri-lankische Frühstück ist toll! Der Blick aufs Meer ist wunderschön und nachts schläft man mit Meeresrauschen ein. Zum Hauptstrand nimmt man am besten ein TukTuk, das schnell und günstig ist. Oder man läuft einfach am Meer entlang – ein kleines Abenteuer, aber definitiv machbar. 😊

Einziger kleiner Minuspunkt für uns: Der Weg von der Hauptstraße zum Hotel war abends recht dunkel. Da wir außerhalb der Saison dort waren und wenig los war, haben wir uns auf dem Weg nicht ganz so wohlgefühlt.

Struttura silenziosa, con parcheggio interno privato, piscinetta, rooftop e possibilità di mangiare in loco; staff veramente cordiale e sorridente, noi abbiamo anche cenato da loro e il cibo era buonissimo! La stanza era bella e con vista parziale sulla spiaggia e mare.

La posizione non era eccellente, poiché nonostante sia una bella struttura, si trova purtroppo in fondo ad una vietta poco illuminata se si vuole uscire a piedi, però comunque comoda per le principali spiagge.

Wat een fijne plek. We werden heel vriendelijk ontvangen met een welkomstdrankjes. De kamer zijn ruim en super schoon. De bedden zijn groot en slapen voortreffelijk. De regendouche is heerlijk warm. Zeer goede wifi. Een prachtig dakterras om te relaxen en te genieten van het uitzicht op zee. Op loop afstand van coconut beach waar je een prachtig uitzicht hebt op de zonsondergang. Wij waren door een snorkel trip wat aan de late kant voor het ontbijt maar dat was geen probleem. Het ontbijt is uitgebreid en erg lekker.

La vista sull'oceano dalla finestra della camera vale da sola il prezzo del pernottamento. Ottima pulizia di stanza e bagno, con tutti i servizi necessari, molto consigliato.

Another amazing stay at Pearl Drop! The host is exceptionally welcoming, kind, and always attentive. He helped us with everything — currency exchange, arranging transport, organizing excursions, and sharing the best local recommendations. The rooms are sparkling clean with zero bugs. Towels are refreshed daily, and bed sheets every two days. Breakfasts are custom-made to your taste and always come with fresh fruits and juices. The direct ocean view from the window is unmatched, and the beaches are within walking distance. Highly recommended, 10/10! 🤩❤️

Wonderful stay at Pearl Drop Guest House! The owner is incredibly friendly, responsible, kind, and attentive to all guests. He helped us with transportation, currency exchange, recommended the best local spots, and organized great excursions for us. I’d like to give a special mention to the cleanliness: towels were changed every day, and bed linen every two days. It was super important for us that there were no bugs at all! Breakfasts were delicious and tailored to our preferences, served with fresh fruits and juice every single day. The view from the window is breath-taking, right facing the ocean, and the beaches are just a short walk away. We heartfully recommend this guest house! 10 out of 10🫶👍🏻

Lovely little place to stay with a great breakfast and next to a nice little beach with rock pools and close to Coconut Tree Hill. Sadly only booked one night but would have liked to stay longer.

Very nice owner and staff, the room was clean and always with hot water in the shower. The breakfast had been really good (we had both options). View from the Balkony and from the rooftop had been amazing. We didn't use the pool so I can't say anything.

I think it's like in every hotel if you're looking for something you will find it. We where completely happy with our stay.

There is no direct beach, closest is around 5-10 min walk.

Mr. Luke was extremely helpful, he guided us to nearby locations and also was honest about the activities. He was also an inspiring person with a profound vision. The food was delicious and the stay was comfortable. It is also closer to coconut hills, Mirissa beach and parrot hill. Those who love to walk a little will thoroughly enjoy the stay.

Everything was perfect! Wide and clear sea-view even from 1st floor; walking distance to a beautiful beach; quality rooms and facilities (AC, fan, hot water, mini-fridge, tea/coffee making items, Wi-Fi, well-placed lighting and power sockets); delicious meals at very reasonable prices; and excellent friendly and helpful staff.

The hospitality from the manager was excellent. Even though it is a hotel, the stay felt very relaxed and homely. The ocean views are beautiful, and the rooftop area is a great place to sit and enjoy the surroundings. The main strip in Mirissa is also only a short walk away, so the location is very convenient. We had the Sri Lankan breakfast and it was genuinely very good. A comfortable stay with warm hospitality, great views and easy access to everything in Mirissa.

Excellent accommodation!

Our stay at PearlDrop Waves Mirissa was honestly better than we expected. We were really positively surprised by the whole place. The owner was great, very kind and helpful, and the same goes for the staff. Everyone was smiling, friendly and ready to help with anything. One small thing which we really appreciated was that the owner even borrowed us an adapter, which we didn’t expect but it helped us a lot. The room was beautiful, clean and had an amazing view of the ocean. The whole place has a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. They also have their own restaurant and the breakfast was really delicious. I honestly don’t have any real negatives to mention. The accommodation exceeded our expectations and for us it was a very nice experience. I can definitely recommend this place.

The property is right by the sea, but it was a little bit of a walk to the main swimming beach.

Good size room with a balcony and a view of the ocean. simple but tasty breakfast. staff was very helpful - assisted with sorting food for my baby and our laundry too.

I had a great experience staying at Pearl Drop Mirissa. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the beach, yet peaceful enough to relax away from the crowds. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable, with all the essentials you need for a stay in Mirissa. What really stood out was the hospitality. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything from local recommendations to arranging transport. It made the whole experience feel much more personal. The freshy cooked breakfast every morning was lovely, including the fresh fruit and toast. We did not try any other meals there, but they did look good. Room was very clean, smelled lovely, comfortable beds and really well presented. The staff/owners were very friendly and accommodating, especially when we asked for a late check out so they gave us another room to use for a few hours at a small cost. The pool was great for a dip to cool off and there was a nice roof top area to use if you wanted to. Overall it was a lovely place to stay, beach was quite close and nice enough to spend a bit of time there but not so good for swimming. It is a beautiful coast line though all along Mirissa

The airconditioning was playing up a bit and the owner was aware of that already. The bathroom light over the basin was not working

Sehr gutes Frühstück, sogar der Kaffee war gut, was nicht selbstverständlich ist. Alle Wünsche wurden sehr schnell erfüllt, das Personal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft ist einfach und daher sehr preiswert. Es gab dennoch alles, was man brauchte, um gut zurecht zu kommen. Die Badestrände in der näheren Umgebung sind zu Fuß oder mit Tuktuk schnell erreichbar. Wir haben uns außerordentlich gut betreut und gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team.

We really enjoyed our stay at Pearldrop Waves in Mirissa. The hotel offers amazing panoramic views facing the beach and is within walking distance of the popular Coconut Tree Hill. The facilities were clean, spacious, and very comfortable throughout our stay. The Sri Lankan breakfast provided was generous and delicious. We would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
