Hambana Lifestyle Lodge

Die Hambana Lodge ist eine empfehlenswerte Unterkunft, wenn man den Mapungubwe Park besuchen möchte. Der Eigentümer Peter ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit, das Essen im Restaurant hervorragend und die Atmosphäre beim Dinner unter einem riesigen 1500 Jahre alten Baobab einmalig. Das Zimmer ist zwar etwas klein, hat aber alles, was man benötigt. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohlgefühlt und können die Lodge absolut empfehlen.

Good one night stop on our way to Beitbridge. Room was comfortable but could do with a chair or two. The dinner under the baobabs was excellent.

Nice, clean and quite place, and the staff is exceptional, felt like getting a mother's love, everything goes just the way you ask for it, and on time👌

Peter is a lovely host and went out of his way to make us feel welcome.

Besondere Atmosphäre inmitten von uralten Baobabs. Sehr freundlicher Service. Hervorragendes Essen. Generell schöne Anlage. Der Mapungubwe Nationalpark ist in 30 Fahrminuten auf recht guter Strasse zügig erreichbar.

Das Zimmer ist etwas spartanisch eingerichtet, es fehlen Ablagemöglichkeiten im Zimmer (z.B. Tisch, Stuhl) und im Bad.

Precioso lugar, rodeado de naturaleza. La cama era súper cómoda, el personal muy amable y las instalaciones muy limpias.

La puerta corrediza del baño no cerraba por lo que se perdía privacidad.

What a gem! We were a party of eight and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left we could not have been looked after better, the staff going out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were excellent with comfortable beds, and the meals delicious. The hotel was ideally located as it was close to the Pont Drift border crossing to Botswana, and I would recommend it unreservedly.

We had a fantastic stay at Hambana. The property is stunning, surrounded by calming nature and beautiful Kremetart trees that we absolutely loved. Peter was a wonderful host, and the dinner — lamb shank with mashed potatoes — was absolutely delicious. Our room was spotless, cool, and extremely comfortable. We highly recommend this place to everyone.

Prachtige lokatie in een heel bijzonder gebied. De enorme baobab bomen waar het terras omheen gebouwd is, spreken tot de verbeelding. De eigenaar is een goede gastheer en vertelt veel over het leven daar. Zijn vrouw kookt de sterren van de hemel! Geweldige ervaring!

Rooms clean and comfortable. Tame animals wandering through.

Thatch roof is too low. My travelling partner and I hit our head on it several times. Food was a little expensive.

We enjoyed the nice and confortable room. We really appreciated the location around the 2 huge baobabs trees.we had a choice between ordering à dîner or organising our own meal since its a self catering place.

I was very impressed as this was a last minute booking, the area is peaceful and there are some animals that walk around the property. The hosts are warm and welcoming and they serve a good breakfast

Die Lodge ist nicht weit von Musina und dem Grenzübergang nach Zimbabwe entfernt und trotzdem wunderbar ruhig gelegen. Die Besitzer sind sehr nett und die Küche fanden wir außergewöhnlich gut. Darüber hinaus wird das Abendessen am Feuer unter zwei über tausend Jahre alten Baobabbäumen in einer sehr stimmungsvollen Atmosphäre serviert. In der Nähe der Lodge kann man spazieren gehen und einen Felsen erklimmen. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Everything about this place is exceptional. Birds chirping, the atmosphere, the staff. They were all so friendly. Their beds extremely comfortable🤗. Their rooms super clean.

I like the place, its a very quiet place with a peace of mind. The staff were very friendly and not forgetting Mr Peter he was very friendly starting from a day one. Definately we will go back again.their room were very clean. We really enjoy our time.

It's the best place to have stayed in so far! The hosts were so friendly, with great empowerment and motivation to the youth. It was a breath of fresh air!

Surrounding yourself with nature is good for boosting morale, so for a safari experience without equal, you’ll want to book your safari vacation at Hambana lifestyle lodge . I enjoyed an unrivalled bush escape at Hambana by breathing in the fresh air and appreciating all that nature has to offer. We absolutely loved everything the lodge had to offer. Peter and his wife are fantastic hosts, they give great attention even to the small details and are very friendly and kind! They make you feel like home and the lodge itself is very scenic! The hosts make you feel like home with all the meals they cook you and take care of you. The food was amazing , for dinner we had this Amazing Tandoori butter chicken 👌🏿👌🏿. The lodge is amazing , pictures on the web and booking.com don't do them justice . I can't wait to go back for more visitation❤️

Being from the city, I enjoyed every minute of the peace and quiet in the bush. The owners are quite friendly and helpful

They don't have a bar that serves cocktails while unwinding. The bedding was too small for bed. The waste in the shower was not properly installed, leaving water to cover feet while showering

From the moment I arrived, to the moment I left, Peter and his team were exceptional. I stayed for the week and even though it was a business trip, I felt like I was on holiday. The teams ability to be present to meet your needs, and but give you stays to enjoy the beautiful scenery (some of the best in the area) was on point. Food (breakfast and dinner) was amazing, and served under two ancient boababs. Just stunning! Regardless of load shedding, the facility had made every effort to keep it comfortable and functional when the power goes off. Thanks again for a wonderful time.

What a fantastic location. The owner is passionate about what they are creating and preserving. So much history and a perfect stop over place when travelling to zim and back etc. Just let them know what you want in advance for meals and it will all be good

The personal attention and friendliness of the owners. We arrived late in the afternoon and they accommodated us with an super supper. The food was exceptional. Both supper and breakfast. The Boababs trees are beautiful and protected by them as they are true nature lovers. They rooms are comfortable. The host showed us the most amazing site on their property that is filled with history of the people that lived on Leopard's Rock 750 AC An absolute must and amazing experience 💕 Thank you, we will be back💞

The accommodation was absolutely fantastic. The whole complex has been lovingly designed, everything fits together wonderfully and is very well maintained. There is both breakfast and dinner, which is always freshly prepared and lovingly arranged. There are also many nice stories and tips, which the hosts are happy to share. Absolutely recommended to spend a few relaxing days. Mapungubwe National Park is also nearby and well worth a visit. There was always WiFi and light in the room even in load shedding, as this runs on separate lines. The whole team does an excellent job and are wonderful hosts.
