Villa Serenita Weligama

The host couple were so genuinely friendly and lovely!. They checked in during the stay to make sure everything was okay and to see if I needed anything, and it' shows that they hope their guests enjoy their experience. The room was super clean and the bed really comfortable, Great location that is peaceful yet close tuk tuk ride to the main part of welligama shops etc. The beach is super close - not even 100m away 😀

Pool was not working during our stay. Wifi was unstable in our room. Hotel's location is not accurate in booking map. Try to locate it on Google map in order not to be surprised.

The owners were so warm & welcoming. It was at the quiet end of town. We were the only ones on the beach until we walked to the centre.

You don’t get many good showers with hot water here in SL, but you just get used to cold, low pressured ones! It’s accepted.

De laatste dagen van onze reis in Sri Lanka hebben we in Villa Serenita gezeten. We hebben het erg naar ons zin gehad. De badkamer is ruim en heeft een hele fijne douche. Het bed is groot en comfortabel. Binnen 2 minuten lopen zit je aan het strand en er zijn verschillende restaurantjes in de buurt. Het personeel is vriendelijk en heeft voor ons elke keer ander ontbijt klaargemaakt. Ook hielp hij ons met het regelen van vervoer naar de airport. Het zwembad is ruim en er zijn fijne ligbedjes.

This hotel has the best bed of our 4 month travel in Sri Lanka. The room was extremely clean comfortable and large. With a cool breeze blowing, and with the sea view below us, our balcony was a great place to sit back and relax after a swim or shopping. It's only a minute walk to beach, and the large pool on-site we really enjoyed. Our hosts were genuinely lovely people who did all they could to ensure everythingwent wrll for us, and we should mention the food available is very well priced and very delicious. We recommend if you have the time to book extra nights.. Top stay !

We loved our stay at Villa Serenita. Located very close to the quiet part of the beach within walking distance to bars and restaurants, the rooms were spotlessly clean and as some of the rooms were empty, Satish the owner gave us a tour and let us choose the room we liked best. Accommodation is quite new and in very good condition, which may explain the low numbers of reviews, but don't let that put you off. There is tea and coffee and even a fridge in the room, and toiletries are provided. There is a large pool but we did not use it as we spent our day at the beach. Staff are kind and we got lots of helpful tips including arrangements for a driver to transfer to the airport with a stop for a few hours to visit Galle. It suited us perfectly, would stay here again and would wholeheartedly recommend!

Location was perfect, right next to a quiet part of the beach. Ideal for surfing lessons because there's hardly anyone else there compared to the other areas of weligama, while still being close to bars and restaurants. Hosts were very lovely, and always went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Will definitely stay here again when we come back

It’s the place when after the delicious breakfast you can either jump into the pool or have 2 minutes walk to the beach

The only thing but I cannot blamed owners is the construction very close to the villa creating noise but soon the construction will be finished

The accommodation is near the sea. Breakfest was very good, we could decided what we want. Swimming pool very nice.

We were initially very skeptical since the hotel didn’t have any reviews yet. Despite that, we decided to give it a try because the price, location, and pictures seemed too good to be true. When we arrived, our expectations were not only met but exceeded! We learned that the hotel had just opened on December 1st, which explained the lack of reviews. Location: The location is unbeatable. It’s literally a one-minute walk to the beach and just a few minutes to several nearby restaurants. Rooms and Amenities: The rooms are spacious and look exactly like the pictures. They’re equipped with both air conditioning and a fan. The pool is large, clean, and perfect for relaxing. Service: The service is beyond exceptional – possibly the best we’ve ever experienced. Lahiru, the man for everything at the hotel provided everything we needed, often even without the need to ask for it. Here are a few examples: We sat down to cut a watermelon, and immediately a plate, a knife, and even help to slice it were offered. On New Year’s Day, we were given complimentary breakfast. When it started raining, he brought in our clothes that were drying outside. Lahiru, the man for everything at the place (reception/ cleaning/ helping...) was always cheerful, incredibly friendly, and attentive. He even helped us rent a scooter and organize a surf instructor. We extended our stay twice because we felt so comfortable here. Everything was just perfect, and we’ll definitely be back!
