Wir wurden morgens durch die Tiere, vor allem die Hunde, wach, die zum Gesang des Morgengebetes der Moschee mitgejault haben. Und natürlich haben Hähne gekräht. Das sollte man vielleicht wissen, wenn man damit ein Problem hat. Uns hat es aber überhaupt nicht gestört.

Lis and Khalid are absolutely the most warm, kind-hearted and welcoming people. They put a lot of effort into everything. We really loved our time here. The breakfast always was very thoughtful and varied. Lis really is an outstanding cook by the way. The animals living on the grounds are lovely. If you don’t mind dogs you’ll have a good time with these. With a bit of luck you might spot a family of dusky leaf monkeys in the morning. The location was perfect for exploring the island. There are great beaches closeby and a nature reserve is just around the corner. If you have the chance and are looking for something a bit more set in nature go here.

Great hospitality from the hosts and farm pets! Wonderful breakfast and comfy cabin! A lovely and lively farm stay in a natural surrounding. The farm animals are very welcoming and is a natural alarm.

Cabin can get slightly warm if the weather is hot but then we are usually out! Secluded location away from the crowded spot.

Eine authentische Unterkunft mitten im Dschungel. Wir hatten vor unserem Bungalow eine Feuerstelle. Wir durften uns vom Grundstück Holz sammeln und Feuer machen. Hier haben wir uns Sandwiches und Marshmallows gegrillt. Außergewöhnlich war auch das Frühstück. Jeden Morgen etwas völlig anderes (manchmal traditonell, manchmal westlich) und immer mit Liebe zubereitet und ungewöhnlich gutem Kaffee. Ein tolles Flair, um etwas Dschungel Feeling zu bekommen. Man kann perfekt Sterne schauen, Tiere beobachten und einfach die Seele baumeln lassen.

My stay at Kebun Lisdtari was truly an exceptional experience, completely different from any other place I’ve stayed in. The cabin has a beautiful countryside vibe — simple, quiet, and far from the noise of the city. Everything felt authentic and free from unnecessary luxury, which made it incredibly relaxing for the mind. The homemade breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. Kebun Lisdtari is definitely a place worth experiencing again. Special thanks to Mr. Khalid for his warm hospitality.

The cabin was gorgeous and comfortable. It was such a treat waking up to breakfast and coffee every morning.

We had an unforgettable stay here! The location is wonderful – surrounded by nature, away from the city noise, with fruit trees like bananas, jackfruits, papayas and many more right outside the house. During our stay we saw macaques, dusky leaf monkeys, hornbills, fireflies, squirrels, and other wildlife in the garden, which truly felt like being in the Malaysian rainforest. The hosts were amazing – Khalid kindly answered all our questions about Malaysian nature and history, and even showed us his permaculture garden. Lis prepared delicious breakfasts, and her cheesecake was simply the best we’ve ever had. On top of that, they have five super friendly dogs, and we loved spending time with them every day. Truly a magical experience!

We enjoyed everything - especially the warm hospitality! The garden is beautiful, we also liked the location (near great beach, near outdoor activities, great local restaurants near by) and each breakfast was fantastic. We definitely can recommend to stay here.

Goeie ligging en het huisje was omringd door mooie natuur. We hadden de laatste dag zelfs apen in de bomen. Verder hadden we iedere dag een ander ontbijt, deze waren heerlijk. Hele aardige mensen!

We moesten wennen aan de hondjes en de ganzen. Een tip zou zijn een hogere tafel met goeie stoelen voor het ontbijt buiten.

Super lieve gastheer en gastvrouw! De omgeving is prachtig, en het huisje is schoon! Echt een super fijne ervaring. En het ontbijt was echt heerlijk, elke dag weer.

Lis and Khalid are warm people and welcoming hosts! Lis’s breakfasts were very tasty, and their suggestions for restaurants and activities were spot on! The cabin is beautifully designed, very clean and comfortable. The garden is gorgeous! It was easy to rent a motorcycle directly with them. Early check-in was also very convenient.

Stray dogs around the property were a concern. They barked during the night, and one jumped at us a couple of times - once showing teeth and grabbing my pants. Playfulness maybe, but being an unvaccinated dog I was a bit worried.

Beautiful forest with amazing hosts, and the most amazing breakfast!

The room was kinda of open air which was fun, but a little warm.

The place is amazing. It truly feels like living in the nature. Khalid and Liz were amazing host. Great breakfast and delicious coffee. The host were very generous and helpful. Totally recommend

Can be a bit loud at times but you quickly get used to it.

Exceptional hospitality, genuine slice of rural Langkawi, warm and welcoming hosts. Stayed 4 nights at Lisdtari, Khalid and Lis made us feel so at home. A lot of thought has gone into the small but incredibly cozy and functional unit in the garden of their home. The bed was comfortable and plenty big enough for 2 (probably slightly larger than a UK double) the unit has a fan and Aircon as well as a beautiful en suite open air bathroom that is separable from the bedroom. It's the perfect spot to decompress and rest. The ambient sounds from their small farm and surrounding forrest are serene, as a city boy I never thought I'd get used to farm animal sounds in the morning, but the environment has a tranquil aura about it that made me feel entirely at peace. Special note has to go to Khalid's coffee and Lis' cooking - breakfast is provided and was unbelievably tasty every time, they even got up early on the morning we were departing to make sure we were fed ahead of our trip, and to see us off. We did a cooking class with Lis who taught us to make Nasi Lemak completely from scratch, virtually every ingredient was sourced from her garden - anything else from local markets. It was one of the most flavourful things I've ever eaten. Location was brilliant for us - Tanjang Rhu beach was the best on the island and is <10 minutes on a scooter. There are plenty of accessible and affordable places to eat nearby - you'll be provided with a list of recommendations on arrival. There isn't enough praise to heap on these hosts and their home; we drove past all the luxury resorts in Langkawi and wouldn't have traded places a single time. I cannot recommend them enough.

Nothing to improve

Everything, from coffee, to pet, to bedroom! A genuinely idyllic little slice of paradise. It was all great - the food, drink, room, location, animals, nature and most of all the hosts! Khalid and Lis are so fantastic!

Very nice stay in a rural area away from the noisy tourist areas. Breakfast is delicious.

It’s calm, and the owner is really friendly. if you’re looking for peacefulness, serenity, then here is the place.

We absolutely loved the setting of this place. It's a little away from main road traffic but close enough to the main shops of the town.  This place is very close situated to a couple of beautiful waterfalls as well as gorgeous secluded beaches ( Temurun Falls and Sandy Skulls Beach were our favorite). There are wild monkeys, and lots of squirrels around the property. The hosts Khalid and Lis are super friendly, and always there to help.

As there are stray dog packs in the area (as there are everywhere on the island) the owners dogs will protect the boundaries of the property with barking and growling. ...even at night time... Having said that, the owners dogs are super friendly and will not bother you. They will come every now and then to say a friendly hello. :)

Thousand miles away but we felt like home. It is very cozy and authentic cabin in a quiet place close to the wild nature. Such a welcoming and friendly hosts, super delicious breakfast and lovely pets in the property. This is very unique experience you won’t get anywhere else. Highly recommend. We will truly miss this special place🌴!!
