What a fabulous find, we felt like we'd arrived in Havana not Athens, great vibes. Some of the reviews had us a little concerned but it was all perfect. We arrived early and were able to sit in the beautiful lobby for 5 mins while our room prep was completed. Katriona, the lovely and very helpful receptionist took our bags up to the 2nd floor and discussed breakfast options with us. We had a small balcony off our room and chose to eat there before heading off early the next day. Room 213 was very comfortable and very quiet. After a sundowner on the roof terrace we went to bed early and never heard a thing, comfortable bed, good shower and great breakfast. Central location for Acropolis, restaurants, metro and city tour buses. Would definitely return 😀

Unique and beautiful property slap bang in the middle of Athens. Perfectly clean with all necessary amenities in the room including tea, coffee, smart TV, linens and a lovely balcony where you are served a delicious breakfast every morning. Staff were very helpful. Within 5 minutes walk to the Metro, Monastiraki in the heart of Pysiri. Excellent value for money in the perfect location.

Everything and every detail. There is an amazing bar under the hotel rooms. All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Location is spot on. The decor is incredible.. i didn't want to leave and will definitely be returning.

There was nothing not to like!

A unique and delightful place. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Athens. Convenient for the main tourist attractions. It is located down a narrow lane off a main street and the area looks a bit rough but we felt quite safe there and it is busy at night. A lot of reviews complained about the noise from the bars at night but we were not disturbed by late night music. The street-level bar on the property was one of the best bars I have ever been in.

Loved this little quirky hotel - it was only one night but we had the best time on the rooftop in the evening and a very comfortable stay. Breakfast was plentiful !!!

Nos encantó el hotel. Pasamos una noche en Atenas y elegimos este Hotel por la ubicación y por su carácter tan especial que transmitían las fotos. Superó nuestras expectativas. Pedimos el desayuno en la habitación, completo y de buena calidad. La chica de la recepción totalmente en sintonía con el hotel. Muy amable y encantadora. Tomamos una copa en el rooftop, que no está mal (sin vistas al Acropolis). Nos quedamos con las ganas de tomar algo en el Club del hotel. Cuando volvamos a Atenas, volveremos aquí sin ninguna duda.

The service was superb, the room was gorgeous and the breakfast was outstanding and way too much food! Even the bed was comfortable and everything was very clean.

The elevator is very small and one morning the rooftop bar area had something spilled up the stairs and outside the door and it was sticky

Un petit hôtel "boutique" extrêmement bien situé dans une rue calme avec une décoration incroyable et une qualité de service d'un grand hôtel. Un personnel formidable.

Stunning whimsical property, stunning and fantastical decor: every design detail has been thought about and finished to the highest degree. Beautiful food and cocktails and excellent position in the trendy artistic end of town. A delight!

Great loaction, exellent breakfast that you can ask to eat in your room or on the roof. you have to order it via room service or at reception desk. the stuff is vey helpfull and nice. Decoration is very speciall, I had to get used to the semi oriental decoration. Note there is parking place near th hotel, they chrged us from Sunday 7:30 pm until Tuesday 10am 44 Euro

The hotel is intimate and personal in its service. The staff are polite and considerate, nothing is too much trouble. Catherina is a total delight in organising taxis to our ship and from the airport. Breakfast was just perfect on the roof top. We were a family gathering and it felt like we had our own hotel in the centre of Athens with restaurants and bars galore as we stepped out the front doors! Very lively bar attached to side of hotel.

The only thing to be aware about is the bar is lively and the music can be heard slightly in the rooms, but it was worth that small distraction, ear plugs are provided. It’s not so loud just in the back ground and not late.

Its decor is unique with good sized rooms. The staff are welcoming.

The roof top for breakfast was hot. There is nowhere to change when catching a late flight. It would be helpful if they had a changing area instead of a small toilet.

Ein sehr kleines, einladendes und gemütliches Boutique Hotel mit sehr guter Lage. Es waren alle hotspots zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Sentralt, fantastisk atmosfære, Personalet var hyggelige og hjelpsomme. Fantastisk med nydelig frokost levert på rommet.

L'hôtel est absolument magnifique. Il y a un super bar au rez-de-chaussée de chaussée mais aussi sur le toit. Le personnel est au petit soin, nous sommes a côté du centre c'était génial!

Loved the location, walkable to shops, restaurants and sightseeing. The staff was very accommodating and breakfast was included and so fresh and delicious (Greek yogurt with honey, scrambled eggs, fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, jellies and pastries! Beautiful marble floors, room was large and so clean! Welcome drink and dried fruit. Bathrobes and shoes to use and the bed was soooo comfy!! Balcony was cute and loved the neighborhood cats!

Only minor issue was a bit of noise from the rooftop bar and bar next door but not enough to keep you awake just enough to make you jealous you weren't partying!

Everything! I can’t recommend this property enough , the entire hotel was stunning and staff were extremely helpful and kind. Great location for first time in Athens.

Incredible stay! One of the best hotel experiences I've had in a very long time—and I travel frequently, both for holidays and for work. On this occasion, I was visiting Athens with my boyfriend, and everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. The property is beautifully boutique, with a charming design that transports you back to the early 1900s–1920s in the most elegant way. Every member of the staff was lovely and genuinely welcoming. And the cocktails at the rooftop bar? They deserve a review of their own—absolutely outstanding. I genuinely can't imagine staying anywhere else if I return to Athens. I loved everything about this place and would highly recommend Juan Rodriguez Hacienda to anyone visiting the city. The hotel feels very intimate, with only around eight rooms (or perhaps even fewer), which makes the experience even more special. And I have to mention the private balcony—waking up to breakfast served on our own balcony each morning was simply top-notch. Highly recommended!

Perfekte Lage zum Erkunden der statt, alles relevante zu Fuss sehr gut erreichbar, ausserdem auch in direkter Nähe zu den Tramstationen. Super Frühstück wird wahlweise auf Balkon oder Dachterrasse serviert- letztere erinnert an die typischen Riad- Dachterrassen von Marrakesh. Super freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, aufmerksamer Roomservice. Sehr besondere und kreative Einrichtung die wunderbar zum Hotel passt und einem einiges zum Entdecken bietet. Ein bisschen eine Oase mitten in der Stadt. Wenn man es gemütlich mag kann man abends noch einen Absacken auf der Dachterrasse nehmen oder sich sonst unten in der Bar austoben mit DJ und Musik. In den Zimmern ist es dafür erstaunlich gut schallisoliert. Betten sehr gemütlich. Wir hatten eine sehr, sehr gute Zeit und würden es unbedingt weiterempfehlen.

excellent location, very nice decor and friendly staff . left our bags after check out, and could still use the roof later in day whilst waiting for our night flight home. felt welcomed even after check out. very comfy beds, and lovely toiletires provdied.

Breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty. We weren't given any options but just asked for it to be vegetarian - the standard was coffee, eggs, salad, yoghurt, granola, fruit. Staff were friendly. The room and all of the decor was beautiful, and the room was large and comfortable. The location was great, super central and lots of nice restaurants nearby.

We live in a city, but even with 2 sets of doors closed, the music was noisy enough to keep us awake, and went on until about 3am. We knew this from the reviews and ear plugs were offered, but it did affect our enjoyment. We didn't find the hot tub very practical to use - in the morning, people are having breakfast and in the evening, it's a bar. We tried it once in the afternoon but it was cold.

Lovely room, fantastic staff and a great location . The breakfast was excellent. Order breakfast and it is delivered to your room or the Roof Top area. Very nice.

The bar was directly under our room. The soundproofing works well but bass sounds did get through to our room which was a bit annoying. However we knew on booking that the hotel had a commercial bar but it did continue to around 3.00am.

We really enjoyed our stay at Juan Rodriquez Hacienda. The staff was very accommodating, they let us check in over 3 hours early and offered us complimentary drinks while we waited for our room to be cleaned. The property itself is very well appointed, the roof top bar is lively, the breakfast was cooked to order and included in the price of the room and the property was perfectly located near the subway and all the things we wanted to do while in Athens. Would highly recommend!!

The location is perfect, close to many amenities and transport routes whilst not being flooded with people. The decor was exceptionally beautiful and grand, and maintained this aesthetic in every area. The housecleaning was thorough and to a high standard every time. Staff were friendly and accommodating, where every concern or question was treated promptly and professionally, always ensuring I felt comfortable and relaxed as a solo female traveller. Having the club below was perfect for me, as I loved falling asleep to the soft sounds of house music from below. But if that’s not for you, loop earplugs work well and the balcony doors are soundproofed to a high level. Sitting on the balcony with a cocktail, or on the stools outside the club next to candlelight, was an excellent way to wind down from the busy days exploring. The hotel has such great vibes, and I can’t wait to stay again!

Nothing! The only suggestion would be an expansion of the vegan/plant-based options for breakfast, but this is a very small point as everything else was wonderful!

Unique property with very nice touches! Had a welcome drink and dried candied ginger! Very nice! Very welcoming staff who were very attentive. It was so close to Monastiraki station - convenient for all places in Athens.

You can hear a little bit of music at night when the bar is busy but it was fine for us.

Super hotel in a fantastic location. The staff are lovely, the rooms are fab, the facilities are boutique quality and the whole experience felt very smooth and well organised. Pro tip — this is a great hotel but an extra bonus is the location. It’s ideal for exploring Athens, within walking distance of all the major attractions. Enjoy! We did!

Kept up from 22-04.00 with music blaring and vibrating the hotel bed until 3.21am the room is not serviceable or fit for purpose. The basic requirements of a hotel are sleep. They say the doors are “sound proofed” but not adequately enough in room 112. Our first night was HORRIFIC, and left us exhausted for our following day and ruined our last day in Athens. We asked to change rooms, which was accommodated after initially being told they were “fully booked”. Room 212 was better, but even up another floor you can still hear the music. As people in their early 30s who live in a major city and party we are used to noise and pretty tolerant. This was a joke though and way beyond anything we have ever experienced while travelling across the world staying in hostels / hotels and apartments. Feel really bad for residents who live in the area and listen to it every night. If you are booking do to not stay in room 112. It’s a real shame that they have missed on such a major point, and don’t seem to care that people need sleep / rest and don’t state clearly on their booking how noisy the place is. Will be reporting to booking.com as it needs to be clearer at booking what “party hotel” means - we just thought it meant a fun, convivial atmosphere.
