The hotel is nicely decorated, well maintained, and clean. The staff are extremely friendly, polite, and welcoming. We had a very pleasant stay and would gladly recommend this hotel.
Location, but hotel organize transportation to city center for feee.
Equipe extremamente gentil e prestativa, fizeram de tudo para que tivéssemos uma ótima estadia. Ajudaram a organizar todos os passeios, sempre procurando a garantir a melhor experiência possível.

Incredible room. Incredible staff. Incredible property all around. The staff is very warm and English proficiency tends to be quite high. The hotel was unbelievably accommodating given our unusual travel situation (early morning arrival via overnight bus, followed by a late afternoon departure from an airport an hour away). Simply excellent!
Superbe établissement, décoration soignée et personnel aux petits soins.
I liked the peace and quiet and how friendly the staff were
The air conditioning wasn't enough to cool the entire room, and nobody was around to help with the drinks service at the pool
Breakfast was terrific and the service was super excellent. All of them were great and attentive. Our overall stay vastly exceeded any expectations we might have had. They treated us like family. The facilities were excellent and super clean. They did The little things that make a good experience a wow experience. Off the hook great. The location is in a quiet neighborhood and is like an oasis. It was safe and close to people who live and work there so a real experience and not just a resort experience but Don’t get me wrong the place was so beautiful and it was our favorite hotel and we stayed at some Really nice ones. It was a five star hotel for us with the feel you are really in Cambodia. We became friends with the folks there and David the owner is wonderful. I asked his staff about him and they all said he was a great boss. I’m telling you, this is a gem unless you want to stay in more traditional resorts like Raffles. But to me hotels like Raffles could be anywhere. This hotel felt like what we have come to know as Cambodia. These are some of the nicest people I have met in my life. Would go again in a heartbeat and would stay here for sure. I give it 10 stars.
Nothing. It was perfect.
Amazing boutique hotel, attentive staff, so many lovely gestures, we would 100% stay here again whenever in Siem Reap.
Staff and very friendly and attentive. The room was large and comfortable. Great location.
Nothing
Staff were outstanding, very attentive, and helpful. Accommodation has been refurbished to a very high standard and nicely laid out. The rooms are of a good size and nicely decorated. The whole experience was exemplary, being met at the airport, suggestions for alternative morning view/photography points, ideas for days out, organising transport and massages at short notice were no trouble for the staff.
Nothing I didn't like. However, a light above the living quarters would have allowed the wife to sleep early without the full lights on in the room.
Airport transfer was awesome. It came with fresh coconut and cold towel. There's also free tuktuk service and we had a free bottle of spanish red wine and fresh fruit in our room. The real highlight is the free daily 1 hour massage at the spa!!
Hotel is not located near to eateries, a little isolated
Stunning property with more improvements on the way. The pool is immaculate and is a chlorine free system. The staff were so helpful and any request was immediately carried out with a massive smile on their faces. We also had amazing massages by the in house masseurs. David and his team (Lon and his colleagues, who’s names we can’t remember them all) The hotels guide Shin and driver Mr Chea were a pleasure to be with also!
Beautiful place. Amazing people, we had such a comfortable stay here. I would highly recommend people to book this place.
Peace and space being so nurishing.
The room was what we advertised. Breakfast was wonderful. Since it has a small hotel, breakfast was freshly prepared for everyone and not a buffet. Dinner options are great if you don't feel like going to the downtown area.
We had 2 minor issues, but they were taken care of right away. Our air conditioner didn't work properly. They did fix it right away once we mentioned it to them. I can't say enough about the staff.
Schöne architektur, private atmosphäre, super 27m pool zum schwimmen, sehr aufmerksames + freundliches personal und sehr gute täglich massage
Wir wurden vom airport abgeholt sehr gut aber es gab keinen inklusiven für den abflug
Very kind and friendly

Sehr freundliches Personal! Aber im Zimmer kein Fenster oder Terrassentür zum öffnen… ganz schrecklich!

Friendly staff and perfect location

This review is about the Shintana Saya La Maison (we were moved due to renovation) Outstanding friendly staff Beautiful boutique hotel Great pool Very good restaurant
Nothing, everything was great
Everything was exceptional
La atencion de su personal fue extraordinaria
The room was lovely and peaceful. The shower was outdoors, as was the toilet—which isn’t exactly my preference, but everything worked well. Just a 5-minute tuk tuk ride to Pub Street. The staff were excellent—friendly, respectful, and very kind. My son and I enjoyed the complimentary massage, which was fantastic. Breakfast was delicious, and the airport shuttle was a great bonus. We were even greeted with fresh coconut for the ride. We also booked tours to Angkor Wat, the surrounding temples, and Kulen Mountain through the hotel’s recommendations—the drivers were all wonderful and made the experience even better. Overall, a warm and welcoming stay.
Warm and welcoming experience
We got a "7 stars" treatment and services. The room and facilities are remarkable and the staff overwhelming. Special thanks to the manager, Mr. Binn, who gave us a kind personal treatment, that made this a unique great experience, even for frequent travelers like us. Thank you Ms Toot for amazing service at the SPA. Thanks to all the others for a great service with a smile. You made Cambodia a place that we want to visit again soon.
We were diverted to a sister hotel - Shintana Saya La Maison. It appears that the Residence has been closed for renovation for already a month and will stay under renovation for 6 months more. We were not notified about it before, and have paid already the higher rate of the Residence. Nevertheless, our Residence package was upgraded and the staff gave us extra perks and benefits, which made our vacation unforgettable.
The place is superb. The staffs are very well trained, super courteous and helpful. The level of service exceeds most of the other hotels that we have experienced. Facilities are clean and well maintained. If you are looking for the best hotel here, this is the one. You won't regret choosing Shintana Saya Residence.
Everything was perfect.
Great pick up service with free fresh coconut and helpful staff and nice breakfast and peaceful environment. Great place to just relax.
We found the service for transporting guests to the city center a bit frustrating. We clearly mentioned that we needed to go to the Duty Free Market to catch the airport bus, but the staff repeatedly asked us the same question about the location, which we felt they should have been familiar with. Finally, we went by ourselves using grab.
The people at the Resort were incredibly friendly. We all got the best sleep in this Resort. We loved it there.
Beautiful property, well decorated, very comfortable
The only negative comment is that it is slightly out of town, which may actually be an advantage.. They offer a free Tuk truck ride in and out of town so problem is solved.
I can only confirm and amplify the excellent ratings of previous reviews given to this hotel. We are globetrotters and have seen many hotels during a 55+ years international career. But this hotel is really the top in customer friendliness, efficiency. The staff takes care of everything, so don’t worry when you book te hotel, you are in their good hands: they arrange transport, visit of the Angkor Wat archiological site on a personal basis, have tuk-tuk transport and limousine transport to airport or by road to Pnom Penh. We had excellent breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. Again with their well trained personel, all very fluent in English. I would like to specially mention: Mr. Sen, calmly and efficiently organising everything, Mr. (Kim)Long, who explained history of Angkor Wat and religious aspects Mrs. Lali who cared well for our breakfast Bravo to all the staff.
nothing
I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The staff really made me feel at home. From check-in to check-out, everyone was so warm and accommodating. Their kindness and smile truly made our stay memorable. As for the food, it was fantastic! We had the chance to try a few other restaurants in the city, but none came close to the quality and flavor of the meals at the hotel’s restaurant. Every dish was a treat. A big thank to the chefs! The connecting room we stayed in was perfect for our family with three kids. The spacious, beautifully decorated rooms had large, comfortable beds, and the amenities were great as well, making our stay even more enjoyable. We also loved the pool—it was a great spot to unwind. The hotel may be small, but it truly feels like a peaceful resort with a beautiful garden. The entire place was clean, quiet, and just a perfect escape. The location is close to Angkor Wat and other temples and the driver was always ready to take us anywhere. Overall, our stay far exceeded my expectations, and we’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
Amazing staff, extremely efficient and caring. Welcome drink everyday the moment you park, tuk tuk drops to main markets, tour arrangements, spa services… all superb and delivered with heartfelt smiles.. left with a very good and warm feeling..
Would have lived a sauna after the massage to complete the wellness program.
This beautiful hotel charmed me with its authentic Southeast Asian style and nine thoughtfully designed rooms. The space was perfect – cozy yet comfortable. But the real highlight? The exceptional staff – genuinely one of the best we've encountered during our travels (we travel A LOT)! They anticipated needs and delivered service with warm professionalism. Their dedication to creating memorable stays is what makes this place truly special. While the aesthetic and comfort are top-notch, it's the team's genuine care that'll have me recommending this hotel to other travelers.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Grounds and breakfast area were beautiful.
Room felt a little tired.
An incredible place, all the details to perfection, excellent service. I had a wonderful stay, I would recommend it to anyone. The guided tour to Angkor temple were amazing and the guide very kind. Will definitely go back if I can

Nothing
It’s a nice small property and very welcoming
Not much the staff were so so nice
Our stay at Shintana was seamless and wonderful from start to finish, from the lovely driver who was waiting to collect us from the airport with fresh coconuts to drink being greeted at the hotel by the owner and the staff helping us with all our touristy bookings and transport throughout our stay. The hotel is beautifully designed, very clean and comfortable and the staff were exceptional and attentive. As a small, boutique hotel it was very quiet and peaceful and there was always a sun lounge available by the beautiful pool when we wanted one. The bedroom configuration of two queen beds suited our family perfectly and was spacious and modern and very clean. The restaurant was very good - we ate most of our meals there - I especially liked the Siem Reap Fried Rice. We were given a complimentary massage which was beautiful and just what we needed after a long day out walking and climbing around temple ruins. Angkor Wat and surrounding temples were amazing and a very short drive from the hotel. It was the staff who made the stay really special. I would definitely stay again!
Shintana provides an oasis experience, just outside of the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap. The staff is incredibly attentive and the property is stunning. My wife and I stayed here for 3 days, after a week of exploring the region, and ended up staying on site at the entire time due to its full service amenities and relaxing environment.
Spacious beautiful immaculate rooms. Great hospitality at every encounter from staff and owner David. Breakfast was included and was excellent. The swimming pool was set in a green oasis of calm. Our children loved the space that they only wanted to et at teh hotel restaurant for dinner which had a good choice of food that was tasty, well prepared and met our differing food choices. WE arranged our tourguide through the hotel. Mr Chamrong who was allocated to us with Chappa the driver were very good and I would highly recommend them both. Well Done.
11/10 for this hotel, the staff, the acommodation and the food. The hotel is beautiful, a very boutique vibe, only 9 rooms. The staff is outstanding, they treated us with so much care and respect, they took care of all our needs and we were able to have the best experience while in Siem Reap thanks to their arrangements for visits, guides, drivers, etc. They went out of their way, even to make the drinks we wanted and they didn't have the ingredients., I cannnot recommend this hotel enough. Thank you!
Great pool. Friendly staff. Good food and drinks.
This hotel is like a luxury home, the rooms are large and very comfortable, we stayed in the family suite with our 3 adult children and loved it. The staff were wonderful and always ready to answer our questions and provided outstanding service. The restaurant was always available and the food was excellent. Quite honestly the best accommodation of our trip to date.
The staff are super friendly. This was our first time in cambodia, and Shintana Saya Residence has made our trip one of the best trips we ever have. I wish I could give them 11/10 for everything. I will definitely come back. My 2 kids love this hotel. Please ask the hotel for all the tours, including private tours. The cost is very reasonable, but world-class services.
Nothing
With the genuine hospitality of all of the team and the boutique nature of the hotel , we felt like guests in someone's beautiful home. The property is beautifully maintained and we enjoyed the gardens and pool area.
The setting and the staff were amazing.
My best hotel experience during this trip. Everything was more than perfect. The house is beautiful with a very nice garden and pool. The rooms are more like small studios, very spacious and modern. The shower was a real rain forest shower that I enjoyed every time. The location was not too far from the main stuff to see. The service was more than excellent from beginning to end. A big crowd of staff is there with a big smile and treating you like a king. From airport pick up that was freely offered in my booking option that received us in a modern SUV with coconut and sented towels to clean our hands and water bottles to how we were greates at the entrance of the hotel…whatever I asked for, was done immediately. It is a small residence so it feels like we had the entire place to ourselves. We also had free massage daily as part of our booking promotion. I expected a cheap massage but it was a very professional one and one of the best I ever had. The hotel also arranged all our activities and transport and reservations very professionally and all at decent price. They accept US dollars for payment but I think it is a common thing in Cambodia wherever I went. I also had in room dining and it was delicious and at a decent price.
What I am about to say here is really a minor detail and I would recommend this place to anybody visiting Cambodia but just mentioning here the following cause everything else is perfect. Siem reap is not a big urban city so this hotel is on a side street of the city and the outside surrounding doesn’t match the little paradise you find inside this residence. So don’t expect a wow view from the upper level rooms. I have a family member who uses a wheelchair (who was not travelling with me this time), but I am also sensitive to wheelchair accessibility wherever I go in the world. So this hotel does have steps to get in and the upper level doesn’t have access with elevator. However, I am sure if my wheelchair family member was with me, the staff would help lift him up and do whatever it takes to welcome him. So this is just a side note for future improvements on accessibility. Now this last one is super tiny also, but as much as I liked how modern the bathroom is and how there is double sink in the bathroom, but the sinks were so big that there was no space for my bathroom stuff and make up. I could store them underneath but when I need to use them, it wasn’t as comfortable. Just a tiny “women” complain. But overall, this is a more than perfect place to stay and I wish I could stay longer there
The staff is very caring and helpful. They can organise everything for you (transport and tickets) as well as give helpful advice on the locations you want to visit. The facilities are amazing! The breakfast offers some variety, and you will not stay hungry anyway.
The only thing that we found weird about the room is the mirror that looks like a door to another room. Putting it in a frame could help this feeling go away. Secondly, having a shower head would make having the bathtub more enjoyable. Apart from these, everything was perfect!
Great treatment, starting with airport pickup, complete with a warm towel and a fresh coconut and a very nice driver. Lovely staff who greeted me by name every time I came to the front office. I organised a very last minute trip to Angkor Wat and they organised a guide and tuktuk for me. Spotlessly clean pool, really nice to cool off a bit during the hot day. I was sitting by the poolside reading on my last day and a staff member brought me a refreshing juice and some spring rolls unprompted. The location was perfect for me, right in between Siem Reap town and the Angkor temple complex. Tuktuk into the town was available for free from the hotel any time, and trip back only cost 3USD. Food at the restaurant was delicious - I had the fish amok twice. Lovely room with a big bath and great shower. My flight wasn't until very late in the evening and they mentioned that they would give me late checkout. I was expecting that to mean 2pm (which I would have been happy with) but they let me use my room right up until I left to go to the airport, which was really appreciated and gave me more time to relax and enjoy the hotel. Definitely would come back! Thank you to all the staff for such lovely treatment and such a nice relaxing stay 🙏
Nothing to fault it. The location is a little outside the town so if you really wanted to be in the middle of the action maybe it wouldn't work, but it is only 10 mins by tuktuk anyway, so even that isn't a big deal.
The silence, service, hospitality we were pampered. We extended our 5 days stay to 7 days. We had a complimentary airport pickup with a welcome Welcome drink and cold towel upon arrival. Complimentary fruit platter every day, Complimentary evening coffee everyday. Housekeeping was at its best. Welcome drink and fruits not only at the first arrival but also on our return from everyday sightseeing at the entrance. What an amazing stay. They had their own tuck tuck and cars at the best price with free water and cold towels during visits. Thank you Shintana.
There is nothing to complain about we had an amazing stay. The staff were very humble and polite.
The staff were super-friendly and helpful. The hotel chauffeur greeted me at the airport with my name displayed clearly so I could recognise my driver. He carried my luggage to the waiting area, while he went to get the car. When seated in the car, he gave me a refreshing cold towel to use, then a coconut to drink. The driving was safe and comfortable. It seemed all the staff at the hotel (6 on the day) came out to greet me on arrival, standing 3 each on my right and left sides to form a corridor. This felt very special. Wish I had recorded this because I haven't seen this at other hotels. My main reason for going to Siem Reap was to see Angkor Wat, but there were other monuments to see, and the hotel manager was extremely helpful and took his time to work out a plan for the few days I was there, to maximise the use of my time. All the costs (transport, tour guide, park pass) were immediately known. All the food and drink in the room was complimentary. The welcoming inclusions in the room even had a bottle of wine, and three trays of freshly cut fruit. Room cleaning seemed to occur a few times a day! The room was clean as were all hotel amenities. My booking included breakfast, which was by the menu but I could keep ordering as much as I wanted without extra charge. Staff were always courteous. They said goodbye to me every time I left the hotel, and every time I returned multiple staff came out to greet me and welcome me back with a nice drink (with ice) and a few pieces of fruit. The farewell when I checked out was just as special as when I first arrived. The hotel is not near the busy touristy area of town and the area was peaceful. However, transport is easily called by the hotel and the wait was never longer than 5-10 minutes. The hotel tuk tuk (rickshaw) was free to get to the city centre, but they charged USD3 for the return. If you are familiar with using Grab, you could save a little by booking the return with Grab.
The hotel may not have all the amenities of larger hotels, but what they did have were of high quality. The service itself was better than the larger hotels I stayed at previously.
What a wonderful place! We loved all of the staff, the room was spacious and tastefully designed, far away from the 'Pub-Street-hustle' we enjoyed the quiet breakfast situation, the tuktuk-service downtown and the gloomy evening surroundings. Thank you David and everyone out there!!
🌿 nothing! 🌿
Small intimate hotel , very attentive friendly staff , big comfortable rooms
Exceptional property in a fantastic location close to everything run by an exceptional team.
LOVED everything.
Large comfortable rooms. Courteous and efficient service from check-in to departure. Personalised service and attention to detail. Sparkling pool right on doorstep. Great food at pool, bar and restaurant.
Nothing.
We had an amazing two-night stay at Shintana Saya Residence while visiting Angkor Wat and the Angkor National Museum. The accommodation was top-notch, with comfortable rooms and excellent amenities. The food and drinks were fantastic, offering a delightful culinary experience. The staff went above and beyond by organizing transport and a knowledgeable tour guide, making our trip seamless and memorable. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Siem Reap!
Everything, from the pickup from airport with fresh coconut, to the amazing room with fruits refilled, to the 60min massage everyday. I loved the room, spacious, calm, clean. I was there for work I needed impeccable internet and I got it, it never failed. It's the best internet I experienced during my whole stay in Cambodia. Food was great in the restaurant, staff super friendly, nice pool. Very peaceful, small heaven on earth. Location is not walkable to the city but tuktuk available and for free to go to the city. We really felt taken care of and appreciated. Really recommend this place
Nothing
Extremely friendly staff who took care of absolutely everything. Beautiful spacious clean room with comfortable bed, cozy small restaurant with some typical Cambodian dishes. Also enjoyed the swimming pool area, airport pickup, tuktuk service etc
- Beautiful small boutique hotel, very stylish interior. - Located conveniently in between Siem Reap and the entrance to Angkor complex (about 15 min drive to each). - The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. - The food at the hotel restaurant is lovely. - Nice swimming pool to relax in after Angkor Wat tour. - I’d recommend spending a extra night in Siem Reap after your Angkor Wat tours - Siem Reap really surprised us with its Pub Street (lots of restaurants, bars, cool vibe and not seedy like some streets in Bangkok etc). We stayed for 2 days and did a sunset and sunrise tour of Angkor Wat (which the hotel organized for us), but I wish we stayed an extra day to explore Siem Reap more.
- The only slight issue we had was it was a bit too warm at night in our room (even with air con on full). We did visit in April which is an extremely hot month.
Everything was beautiful!
It was a quiet oasis, the staff were very attentive and extremely polite as well as very helpful.
Excellent service, friendly staff and superb food.,Everything from being picked up from the airport to them baking a cake for my daughter's birthday made it a perfect stay. I highly recommend this hotel.
Nothing
Everything.was perfect. Lovely and relaxing place with amazing staff! Thank you!
We were picked up from the airport and from the moment we arrived, the staff were quite welcoming and pleasant. Every day when we came back, we were met with smiles and offered a cool drink. My wife was on a special diet, and the kitchen staff catered for her requirements.
Found breakfast to be somewhat basic. It was a bit away from the city centre, but they offered free transport to the city.
Amazing staff and service
Beautiful hotel in a tranquil setting. The room is spacious and comfortable, the food is delicious, and the staff is INCREDIBLE. The best part of my stay was the staff - they are so welcoming and helpful, and they go out of their way to ensure your every need is met.
Nothing
Attentive staff, good food, spacious room.
-
From the pick-up at the airport, the welcome in the hotel (with fresh fruit, a little snack and wein) and the very nice place in the garden with pool... every thing was superb! The staff organized a Tuk-Tuk-Tour with a guide to the temples in in the evening a tour to the Pub Street (Night market and Night live ). The Angkor tour guide, Mr Nak, as well as the driver were very nice and forehanded. And there was also a very good Kmher massage available.
nothing
Outstanding compound with swimming pool and lots of green, close to Angkor sights and secluded from noise and dirt of Siem Reap. Very friendly and attentive staff, offering complimentary treats and drinks, anticipating and actively learning our preferences (certain juice, fruit etc.). We very much appreciated the extended checkout time (after our request) to 16:00h so we could shower after sightseeing and before our flight. Ideal for relaxed sightseeing of Angkor and surroundings. We would definitely stay there again.
Construction works in next room during last two days lead to air pollution in our room (but no noise, no ongoing works in our presence). Breakfast quality was quite basic, could easily be improved. Minor imperfections like little shower leak and impractical parasols.
Service was great! Room is large and comfortable. Bathtub was really, really comfortable and relaxing. Breakfast was varied and good; also appreciated the snacks brought up to the room. Also appreciated the pickup from the airport, which was timely and very nice.
Location is not near center of action. But it didn't really impact much, since we could take a Grab to get anywhere for a very reasonable price.
Everything was amazing! The staff were exceptional - so welcoming and eager to help. The property was beautiful, food was delicious. Everything was perfect.
The property is a little further out (only about 10 mins by Tuk Tuk) than some other hotels but they provide a free service into town and a cheap return service, so it’s not at all an issue.
Incredible, helpful staff with excellent service. Nice small, quiet hotel with excellent food.
