Really lovely villa, owners were very nice all the facilities such as kitchen area, pool etc were great, it’s been renovated to a very high standard. We had the room with two bunk beds as a family it was a bit small but manageable as you can relax in the other areas of the house. If you want peaceful and relaxation it’s located a couple of kms out of the main town. An easy tuk tuk ride in and out though.

Es war alles super! Alles sauber, alle Menschen super nett, hilfsbereit und haben bei allen Wünschen und Fragen geholfen.

A villa nagyon jó helyen fekszik. Gyönyörű, rendezett kerttel és tiszta medencével. A modern és a tradicionális építészeti elemek keveredése kimondottan tetszettek. Nagyon stílusos , barátságos környezettel. A szobához tartozott egy nyitott konyha , teljes konyhai felszereléssel és hűtővel. Volt lehetőségünk a tulajdonosokat is megismerni , és ami még plusz pont, hogy nagyon barátságosak és segítőkészek voltak bármilyen kérdéssel fordultunk hozzájuk. Bármikor szívesen vissza térnénk. 🌞

Dette meget unikke sted var en helt særlig oplevelse at bo i, så stilet og gennemført, så man virkelig fik følelsen af luksus. Værelserne er lidt små, men det gør ikke noget, fordi der er hyggelig samlingssteder. Poolen var den bedste og fineste vi stødte på i Sri Lanka. Værtsfamilien var utrolige søde og meget hjælpsomme, da vores datter havde brug for lægehjælp og med at give de bedste anbefalinger til lækre spisesteder. Et dejligt sted at bo med en kombination af luksus og ro og med let adgang med tuktuk til stranden. Du vil ikke fortryde dit ophold 😉

La villa est superbe, très bien décoré ! Les atouts sont les espaces communs avec une superbe cuisine ouverte et une très grande piscine entourée de végétaux tropicales. L’emplacement est très bien en plein centre de weligama.

Das Personal war super super lieb und die alles war sehr sauber. Zudem war der Außenbereich / der Pool sehr sehr schön.

Das Zimmer war offen gestaltet und lag direkt im Eingangsbereich, wodurch es sehr laut war. Straßenlärm, bellende Hunde und Gespräche aus dem Aufenthaltsraum waren deutlich zu hören. Zudem gab es viele Moskitos. Das Zimmer selbst war sehr klein, bot praktisch keinen Stauraum und wirkte zudem feucht.

- die Ruhige und idyllische Umgebung - das Personal war super nett! - der Pool hat uns besonders gut gefallen - es gab kostenloses Wasser, was super hilfreich war! - wir haben uns sehr sicher gefühlt - die Küche ist SO schön! - die Hunde sind zuckersüß

- im Zimmer gab es sehr wenig Ablagefläche aber das ist nunmal der Zimmerkategorie geschuldet. Sonst war es wirklich super !

Das Haus ist super schön und ansprechend eingerichtet. Der Garten ist gepflegt, der Pool groß und sauber. Wir hätten uns zwar noch ein paar mehr Liegen im Schatten gewünscht, damit wir nicht auf den Säcken bzw. der Matratze am Boden liegen müssen (Ameisen), aber hat für die kurze Zeit gereicht. Das Besitzer-Pärchen und auch das Housekeeping Personal waren super nett. Sie haben uns sogar Essen von ihrem Local „Rice & Curry“-Restaurant gebracht und unsere Jungs fanden es super lecker (sehr scharf hahaha). Wir haben dort (leider) nur eine Nacht in einem Vierbettzimmer verbracht, trotzdem haben wir so viele wertvolle Tips von den Eigentümern erhalten. Ebenso Restaurant-Empfehlungen, die wirklich super waren. Die Küche dürfen alle Gäste gemeinsam nutzen, ebenso Basic-Nahrungsmittel wie Wasser, Kaffee (;)) oder bspw Öl zum Kochen ist alles for sharing - das ist cool. Ebenso kann man den Kühlschrank für seine Sachen nutzen, was wir auch als super praktisch erachten. Wirklich gut durchdacht. Die Lage ist etwas abseits der bekannten, belebten Straße in Weligama, aber mit dem TukTuk in 3 Min erreichbar.

The villa is so beautiful and the staff were so great, it was easy to want to stay there all day and not leave! Location wise it’s a bit tucked away but Sam gave us details for a tuktuk driver which made getting around so easy, it only took a few minutes to get to the beach/ restaurants etc. We would definitely love to stay again!

The villa is nicely presented and clean. The staff were friendly and kindly shared the contact details of a local tuk-tuk driver who was excellent and very helpful during our stay.

There was ongoing building work directly below the pool area, which made it noisy and less relaxing during the day. In the evenings, very loud temple chanting nearby significantly disrupted our sleep. The air conditioning unit in our room also leaked repeatedly overnight (around 00:45, 02:00 and 06:00), which caused further disturbance. For £110 per night, we felt the overall experience did not reflect the price point.

The place is an oasis of peace in the middle of the chaotic Weligama. The kitchen and the dining area are amazing and also the garden with the swimming pool. Everything is clean and well taken care of. The staff is kind and always available. Big plus - two amazing dogs!

Our room was a bit humid and with a very small window.

The property was beautifully constructed…It gave us a very homely feeling.

We just felt rooms were way too small for 4 people. However, it didn’t bother us since we all were friends. It was also bit far from centre location.

It’s a nice big villa with a beautiful pool and a territory in Weligama. It’s located in the residential area, so you have to go to the city center by bike or tuk tuk. The villa itself is incredible and has all necessary facilities.

It can be quite noisy in this area because of construction sites around and also dogs living in the households.

Great support from the host! Everything went so smoothly.

Had a great stay at Villa Wellia in Weligama. The hosting couple were super friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. It’s a quiet, peaceful place with a really relaxed vibe—we ended up spending most of our 3-day trip just enjoying the villa. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and spend quality time with family or loved ones. The breakfast was exceptional as well. Would definitely recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay. The villa is beautifully designed — modern, cozy, and very well thought-out. The hosts, Samiah and Santa, were incredibly kind and helped us with anything we needed. The rooms were clean and beautiful, and we stayed in two different room types, both of which were excellent. We also loved the well-equipped kitchen, the beautiful pool, the relaxing area, and the large dining table for group meals. They even arranged a scooter for us and surfing, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like. Maybe if the villa was a bit closer to the beach, it would feel like absolute paradise — but we knew exactly what we were booking, so it wasn’t an issue for us.

De locatie ligt wat afgelegen, dik half uur lopen naar het centrum of een tuktuk aanhouden. Wel lekker rustig ☺️

Wunderschöne Unterkunft, mit tollem Pool und Garten, sogar einer Gemeinschaftsküche und einen tollen großen Tisch! es sind auch 2 süße Hunde da, die zur Unterkunft gehören. Gastgeberin ist ausserdem wirklich sehr hilfsbereit und wirklich so lieb! Die Unterkunft ist ca.8 min Fahrtzeit von Weligama Zentum entfernt, man hat also seine Ruhe und kommt mit dem Tuk Tuk aber überall hin.

Unser Zimmer war sehr dunkel, weil das Fenster aus Holz war und wir es wegen Mosquitos natürlich selten auf hatten.

La amabilidad de los propietarios, te ayudan en lo que necesites. Tiene una cocina comunitaria muy completa. El baño de la habitación era muy espacioso con dos duchas.

La habitación es muy pequeña y oscura, solo tiene una ventana pequeña. Aunque tiene zonas para ocupar en la villa no son muy cómodas, nos llovió y la mesa no estaba atechada por lo que no la pudimos usar.

Очень красивая вилла. Приветливый персонал и нас очень радушно встретили. Владельцы всегда на связи и помогут с любым вопросом. Владелец виллы работает в серф школе и можно со скидкой покататься и это действительно дешевле, чем предлагают другие школы. И у нас был замечательный инструктор. На день рождения подарили подарки и поздравили всем коллективом. Также утром нас ждал пирог. Все чисто, классные собаки на вилле, которые радовали нас каждый день. На кухне есть кофе, чай, молоко, мюсли, бананы из сада, все в свободном доступе. А также стоят фильтры для воды, что очень круто и не нужно бояться чистить зубы) и пить воду не беспокоясь за свое здоровье.

Mọi thứ tại Villa Wellia đều tạo nên cảm giác rất dễ chịu, thoải mái như ở nhà. Nhân viên thân thiện, sẵn sàng giúp đỡ. Không gian yên bình, trong lành.

Nếu có thể, hãy đầu tư thêm về internet. Khi ở bên trong phòng, hầu như là không thể sử dụng được internet.

Tôi đã đặt 2 hạng phòng khác nhau, và trải nghiệm đều thật sự rất tuyệt vời.

Un lugar ideal para alojarte, tranquilidad pura. Instalaciones perfectas y todo decorado con muy buen gusto. Super bien calidad-precio. Sin duda si volvemos alguna vez a Sri Lanka volveremos 100%

We had an absolutely amazing stay! The place looks exactly like the photos, and everything was spotless. The staff and host are incredibly kind and always willing to help with anything you need. There’s even drinking water available in the shared kitchen, and the pool is perfect for relaxing. We would highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Sri Lanka!

I have to say this is stunning villa in srilanka we love the design and layout deco is simple but elegant. The place we stayed 7days bit away from Main Street so much more quieter and pool is big and clean

Lovely villa with excellent hosts. Santa was a superb surfing instructor too and my family surfed twice a day with him at the AMA surf school where he got us reduced rates. We didn’t use any of the kitchen facilities but it was very spacious and well equipped if you wanted to self cater. Sam recommended a tuk tuk driver (Asanka) and we used him several times a day to get in to Weligama, also at reduced rates. The swimming pool is a great size and we had it to ourselves every time we used it.

The only negative about the villa is the yelping of the dogs next door, which unfortunately Sam and Santa can’t do anything about. We were woken up at dawn by them every day, but they settled down after a while and it didn’t spoil our stay as we were getting up early for surfing anyway.

Beatiful and clean location with a comfortable bed and a nice property. Some smaller shops and restaurants nearby and a lot of green nature surrounding the property. The hosts and housekeepers are super friendly and helpful and can give you a lot of recommendations depending on what you want to do around Weligama or in other areas of Sri Lanka! :) They also have some cute dogs! Would definitely recommend spending a few days here :)

I had an amazing stay at Villa Wellia with my girlfriend! The property had everything we needed to feel comfortable and relaxed. The outdoor spaces were definitely a highlight—having a private pool, sun terrace, and garden made it perfect for spending quality time together. The villa itself was super well-equipped. The kitchen had everything you’d need, and the bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless and really cosy. The room we stayed in had a private, massive bath that could easily fit four people. It was in an area surrounded by plants, completely covered on all sides but open to the sky. It felt like having a bath in the jungle—something I’ve never seen before. It was such an amazing and romantic experience! Another thing worth mentioning is the strong-pressure hot shower. This is not always a given in Sri Lanka, but if you love a good shower like I do, you’ll be very pleased here. We also had the chance to take private surfing lessons with Santa, the owner of the property, at Ama Surf School. He was hands down the best guide I’ve come across on the island. I’ve tried surfing lessons elsewhere before, but nothing compared to this experience—Santa’s guidance was outstanding, and it made the lessons so much fun and effective! The staff were extremely polite and helpful, always making sure everything was taken care of. Having private security and housekeeping on-site for every request was a huge plus—it really made the whole experience feel even more luxurious and stress-free. Overall, it’s a brilliant place to stay, and we’d 100% come back again!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful villa, and I can't recommend it enough. The standout feature is the unique jungle bathroom, which truly enhances the experience of being surrounded by nature. Everything in the villa is spotless, making for a very comfortable stay. The spacious open kitchen and dining area are stunning, perfect for preparing meals and enjoying them together. The exceptional design of the villa promotes relaxation and tranquility. The pool area is ideal for chilling out, providing a serene atmosphere to unwind. Additionally, the owners are incredibly kind and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure a fantastic stay. They helped us rent a scooter, order a tuktuk and reccommend nice places. This villa is a hidden gem, and I can't wait to return!

We stayed for a couple of nights, and all I can say is, just wow! We booked the honeymoon room with the outdoor shower and bathtub, and it was absolutely beautiful. The villa itself looks amazing, super clean, and the surrounding garden is a pure oasis of peace. You can really see how much work and passion the owners put into making their guests’ stay unforgettable. For example, they recommended and arranged a round trip to see the most beautiful places in Sri Lanka and even organized a scooter rental that was ready for us upon arrival. We also wanted to try surfing, and the owners recommended Ama Surfing School—it was definitely worth it, such a great group of people! Overall, staying at Villa Wellia was a unique experience. The house itself is breathtaking – amenities were truly exceptional, with everything from a plunge pool to a fully-equipped kitchen that made me feel right at home. It was clear that Sam put a lot of love and attention into every detail. The vibe was so serene that I didn’t want to leave so I extended my stay here! I really appreciated extra amenities like pool towels, well equipped kitchen which made my mornings before surfing very easy. There is a big table so if you feel like getting to know people, you can enjoy meals together:) There is also space to do yoga and the pool was a great spot to chill by! Sami was a great host and shared with me great places to eat and have a good coffee.I got some tips for super nice empty beaches. She organized for me scooter and even a taxi to get to safari. I can highly recommend !
