The apartment itself was spacious and there was a decent kitchen setup (for utensils, cooking options, storage etc.). The bed itself was comfortable and shower room was a good size and condition. Free Parking is available on the street. It is a "first come" basis but luckily we weren't planning to use the car much and got the last spot we could find in the locality and didn't move the car. It covered the basics well and would have been a good option for a couple on a budget.

This property was not suitable for a family. The main problem was noise. From about 7pm until 1am each night of our stay, another resident slammed doors every 15-30 minutes (sometimes literally shaking the building) which woke our infant up every time causing increasing distress (despite using a white noise machine). This resident lives there so this is not a temporary issue. It would appear that the people running this apartment knew about this because they provided complimentary ear plugs. Unfortunately, these are not suitable for an infant. We visited during a heat wave. We were aware the apartment did not have air conditioning but the temperature in the apartment never decreased below 26 degrees during our stay even at night. A linked problem occurred, by having the windows open we could hear all of the noise from the front and the smell of people smoking was not great as the bench outside the front of the property seemed to be permanently occupied by someone smoking. At the back, someone else had a balcony and smoked on this every night which entered the bedroom. Location-wise, you are quite a trek to the centre and there are no decent pubs or restaurants within 20 minutes walk. Not so much an issue for us but something worth noting. It is important to note Linens are not included and charged at an additional 35euros. This is for one towel each (no hand towels) and bedding. While body wash, shampoo and conditioner is provided, hand soap is not for the toilet. Most everything else in the apartment is chargeable (except the tea and coffee). The booking.com listing says a high chair is provided. This is only provided on request and is not available within the apartment so we didn't have this for our first night.

The bed was incredibly comfortable, the location was perfect, and there was free parking in all the surrounding streets. The communication was friendly, clear, and helpful throughout our stay. Everything was truly amazing—we had a wonderful time staying here and would happily recommend it!

Nous avons découvert un superbe appartement lors d'un weekend. Il est fourni avec une multitude d'objets utiles au quotidien pour le séjour. Nous nous sommes senties comme chez nous, y compris notre chien qui a eu droit à un panier confortable. L'appartement était très propre et fonctionnel, nous n'avons manqué de rien et recommanderont le logement à nos proches. Nous pouvons trouver aisément des places de parking dans les rues avoisinâtes ou sur la petite place où se trouve le logement, bref tout était PARFAIT !

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We spent a few nights at Zilte Stilte in Ostend and would happily return. As frequent travellers, we usually look for four things: cleanliness, comfort, location, and value for money — and this apartment scores highly on all of them. The apartment feels much more thoughtfully equipped than most holiday rentals. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the little extras made a real difference. Free parking right in front of the building was a huge bonus, especially in a coastal city where parking can be difficult. The Wi-Fi was excellent, and the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to relax after a day exploring the coast. We travelled with a dog and were pleasantly surprised by how pet-friendly everything was. Unlike many holiday rentals where pets are simply allowed, here they are genuinely welcomed. The hosts provide dog bowls, treats, a comfortable dog bed, a leash, and even a dog backpack/carrier for smaller dogs. The complimentary dog biscuits were a lovely touch and immediately made our furry companion feel at home. The location is convenient: the beach, shops, public transport, and the city centre are all within easy reach. What stood out most was the value for money. The apartment offers many amenities typically found in more expensive accommodations, yet remains affordable. It's easy to see why guests speak so highly of their stay here. If you're looking for a comfortable, well-equipped, pet-friendly base to explore Ostend, Zilte Stilte is an excellent choice. We would definitely stay again.

Honestly, nothing!

Prachtig en lichtrijk appartement. Het grote bed en het linnen waren zeer proper en verzorgd. Aan alles is gedacht: van flesjes water naast het bed tot oordopjes. Ook de communicatie verliep zeer vlot.

Niets eigenlijk!

This apartment is truly superb. It stands out in every aspect — from cleanliness to communication and amenities. It is very well equipped and even offers free parking, which is quite rare in Ostend. The beach is only a 10-minute walk away, and the apartment also provides drinks, wine, and snacks, which is a lovely extra touch. The king-size bed was perfect for us as an older couple, and the neighbourhood is very quiet and peaceful. Having parking right in front of the door was also a big plus. For this price, it offers excellent value. Keep up the great work, we will definitely be back soon!

Honestly? Nothing!

The kitchen is very well equipped, convenient, and functional. The living area is cozy, with a comfortable table for breakfast or dinner. The mattress in the bedroom is comfortable. It is also very convenient when traveling with a dog – there is a dog bed, bowls, and even treats provided. The WiFi worked well throughout our stay.

Unfortunately, the apartment was not clean upon arrival. The cleaning seemed rather superficial, with a lot of dust in many places, even on decorative items. The bathrobes were dirty. The duvet in the bedroom had stains, and the pillows were in very poor condition and not suitable for use. Sound insulation is quite limited – noise from the bathroom is clearly audible. The bed linen offered for an additional fee (€35) did not feel very new or comfortable, so we were glad we brought our own. The towels in the bathroom did not dry properly and remained damp. The surrounding area was not very pleasant, and the walk to the sea takes around 20 minutes.

Wat een fantastisch verblijf! Het appartement is prachtig en ligt op een toplocatie. Alles is tot in de puntjes voorzien – van gratis parking tot zelfs gratis oordopjes. Alle informatie is super makkelijk terug te vinden, zowel in hun online gids (die je zelfs al voor je boekt kan nalezen, heel handig!) als in het appartement zelf via QR-codes of de papieren gids. De hosts zijn ontzettend vriendelijk en reageren meteen op vragen. Ook de waarborg werd, zoals beloofd, binnen de dag teruggestort. Kortom: een zorgeloze ervaring en absolute aanrader. Wij komen hier zeker nog terug!

+ tierfreundlich (Näpfchen, Leckerlis, Hundebett) + Super ausgestattet (Bügeleisen, Raclette, Gefrierfach, Spülmaschine + Tabs, Staubsauger, Strandschirm usw.) + Hell und freundlich eingerichtet, große Fenster im Wohnbereich mit Blick auf eine Grünfläche + Unkomplizierte Kommunikation und self Check-In + Ohrstöpsel gegen das Möwengeschrei + Kostenfreie Parkplätze in unmittelbarer Nähe + Direkt vor dem Haus eine kleine Grundfläche für den Hund

- Treppen für alte Hunde oder Hunde mit Hüftproblemen ein bisschen steil (aber dafür kann die Wohnung Nichts) - Müll muss selbst entsorgt werden (unbedingt 50ct Stücke für den Restmüll Automat einstecken)

De ligging in een kalme buurt,toch niet te ver van het centrum. Gemakkelijk parkeerplaats te vinden.

Sofa zetel in de living met beddengoed dat aan vervanging toe is.

Alle eventuele benodigdheden, zijn aanwezig. Alles op wandelafstand. Parking voor de deur is ook handig (wel moeilijk parking te vinden na 20u) Al bij al, goed appartement

De luidruchtige buurt, Wanneer het raam in de kamer openstaat (heel warm in de kamer anders), dan klappert de kamerdeur door de wind in het slot weg en weer. Daardoor snachts het raam moeten dichtdoen maar was ontzettend warm.

Die Ferienwohnung war insgesamt in Ordnung. Sie entspricht den grundlegenden Erwartungen und ist sauber. Die moderne Einrichtung hat den Aufenthalt angenehm gemacht. Besonders positiv war die schnelle Internetverbindung, die für mich sehr wichtig war. Die Lage ist praktisch, um Ostende zu erkunden.

Allerdings gibt es einige kleinere Mängel, wie zum Beispiel die fehlende Möglichkeit, Wäsche zu trocknen, was bei längeren Aufenthalten unpraktisch sein kann. Die Ausstattung ist für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ausreichend, aber für längere Aufenthalte oder höhere Ansprüche könnte die Wohnung noch verbessert werden.

Het appartement is netjes en modern ingericht, wat meteen voor een aangename sfeer zorgt. Het bed is van uitstekende kwaliteit – ik heb er heerlijk op geslapen en had geen last van mijn rug, wat bij mij anders soms wel het geval is. Ook voor honden is het een ideale plek: er is een parkje direct voor het appartement en de zee is op loopafstand. Kortom, een fijne en comfortabele plek om te verblijven!

A fully equipped nice apartment in a quiet area. Public transportation is good. Grocery store is nearby. Beach is about 10 mins walk away.

What I loved most is the information guide on the website! This gave me a lot of information before even booking and pets can stay for free as well and lot of things are provided for pets! ( like biscuits and bowls so you don't have to bring everything yourself) Besides that it has a lot of free parking, a very easy check in system and very responsive hosts. And ofcourse the king size bed!

A very comfortable, spacious and well decorated apartment equipped with everything you might need. The owner was exceptionally helpful, offering detailed information and assistance throughout our stay. Even though, there is no private parking provided, the site is on a area where parking on the street is free.

There is no elevator, and the stairs are somewhat narrow, making it a bit challenging to carry large suitcases to the 2nd floor.

The accommodation is very nice and modern. The equipment and inventory is exceptionally good. The accommodation is clean and the staff is very helpful, they can be reached by phone at any time if there are any problems. The location of the holiday apartment is very practical as many attractions and shopping opportunities are within walking distance. In summary, we enjoyed a very nice and comfortable stay and would like to thank our hosts.
