Reviewed Aug 19, 2026We stayed at the Carna Connemara Cottage for two nights, and it was an unforgettable experience. The cottage itself is incredibly beautiful and absolutely impeccable. Every corner was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need to make our short stay exceptionally comfortable. Beyond the stunning property, the host is truly a wonderful person. Her warmth and hospitality left us completely speechless, and we truly do not have enough words to thank her for making us feel so welcome. If you are looking for a perfect, super comfortable getaway in Connemara, look no further. This is definitely the place!

Reviewed Aug 5, 2026Le cottage est très agréable : grand, propre, bien équipé et avec une belle vue sur la montagne lointaine. Ann Marie a été aussi accueillante que serviable : quel plaisir de rencontrer une telle hôte ! Par ailleurs, Carna est très bien situé, même si les petites routes en lacets et trous d'ornières ne facilitent pas toujours les déplacements.
Seul petit bémol : les matelas à ressorts, qui étaient vraiment mous à notre goût (mais c'est très personnel).

Reviewed May 27, 2026The chalet was extremely well located for exploring the beautiful nature and sights of Connemara. It was very clean, modern, and spacious, with everything we needed for our stay as a group of five. The house felt very homely and was beautifully decorated. The landlady was incredibly welcoming and even brought us homemade bread and scones, which was such a lovely touch. Everything was exceptionally good, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The Spiral staircase was difficult for us to climb with a larger suitcase! Very minor but it would not stop us going again xx

Reviewed Aug 17, 2025Bei Anreise steckte der Schlüssel in der Haustür. Die Besitzer haben ihr Haus auf dem gleichen Grundstück und waren vor Ort. Wir wurden empfangen mit frisch gebackenen Scones und Ann Marie zeigte uns das Chalet. Es war SEHR sauber und super ausgestattet. Es fehlte uns an nichts. Der Kontakt mit den Besitzern war sehr herzlich und wir haben uns willkommen gefühlt. Die Lage war für uns super, um zu baden und Landschaft und Kultur zu entdecken. Wir können die Unterkunft wärmstens weiter empfehlen. Vielen Dank für die schönen Tage! Kleiner Nachtrag. Meiner Meinung nach ist das Chalet aufgrund der sehr schmalen Treppe nicht geeignet für Kinder unter 6 Jahren oder für bewegungseingeschränkte Personen. Meine 70jährige Schwiegermama kam gut zurecht :-)

Seul petit manque qu'on a oublié de lui signaler : pas d'essoreuse à salades ! La salade était donc comme le temps : humide 😉

The property itself was perfect—spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend and would definitely return! Also, you will get tasty and delicious scones on your arrival :)

The internal metal staircase was quite tricky to use and not really suitable for adults to use easily.
