It is close to the center but not noise . One motor tricycles ride to Lio Beach and Vanilla Beach. Staffs are helpful to bring are luggage up stairs for there is no elevator . We got a reasonable price for 6 days stay.

Esta muy limpio y muy cerca de centro de El Nido, la señora de allí es muy amable y su hija también, todo fue muybien y te ayudará mucho. En principio, yo esperaba una terraza dentro de ña habitación, pero era comunitario, pero esta limpio siempre con la vista de la roca grande. En general está todo muybien bien y todo muy amable. Buen sitio y cerca de todo.

Funcionaba bien el aire acondicionado

No salía nada de agua de la alcachofa de la ducha ( era imposible lavarse el pelo), no funcionaba la cisterna , entraba luz y ruido por la mañana , el personal era más bien seco y escueto en palabras … nos fuimos tras la primera noche habiendo pagado varias .

Breakfast on to balcony velvety morning was really lovely. The staff were so nice and went above and beyond. Only a short walk to town so nice and quiet and with good aircon.

Está bien ubicado en el centro del pueblo y a unos pasos de la playa del Nido donde se sale para las excursiones, la habitación tiene aire acondicionado y el desayuno entra en el precio, es simple pero está muy bueno y tratan de variarlo

No me gustó que estuvimos 6 noches y ningún día se limpió la habitación a pesar de que estamos en un lugar de playa, donde se realizan excursiones y donde se llega con arena, toallas mojadas ect, el baño desde el 2 día ya estaba sucio y mojado

Skvělá poloha, zřejmě nový a čistý hotel a velmi příjemný personál. Vlastní půjčování skútrů, dobré snídaně.

Osušky se nedaly používat, protože pouštěly spoustu jemných chloupků, které se lepily na kůži. Celkem hluk z hlučné ulice, ale v rámci El Nida nic výjimečného. Slabý tlak vody.

The staff is helpful and friendly and they did refund my money.

I rarely give bad reviews, but I feel compelled to write this one. I chose Kataluma Inn El Nido based on the many positive reviews, and honestly, I feel like people are not giving their true experience. To start with the positive: the staff is friendly and helpful. They were polite and responsive. However, that does not make up for the condition of the rooms. The rooms look nothing like the photos online. While they were superficially cleaned, they are very poorly maintained and not attractive at all. There was no effort to make the room feel welcoming — just a plastic outdoor chair inside the room and that’s it. The bathroom looks extremely basic and worn down. The worst part, however, was the smell and air quality. The moment we entered the room, we were greeted by a strong mold smell. I have a serious dust and mold allergy. In the middle of the night, my allergies flared up severely — my entire face became swollen. I was afraid to go back to sleep and ended up staying on the balcony the entire night to avoid making it worse. The next morning, I informed the staff that I wanted to cancel the remaining five nights of our stay. Later that day, I had to seek urgent medical help. The doctor had to administer a cortisol IV to prevent me from going into an anaphylactic shock. This incident completely ruined my two-week stay in the Philippines, as my body needed days to recover from just one night in this hotel. Aside from the condition of the room, the hotel is also extremely noisy. When you are inside the room, you hear everything as if you are sleeping outside. I understand that this is not a luxury hotel, but basic hygiene, air quality, and proper maintenance should be standard. For anyone with allergies or sensitivities, I would strongly advise reconsidering.

Wir haben das Hotel als Zwischenaufenthalt genutzt, nach mehreren Tagen in Port Barton und vor unserer 4-Tages Bootstour mit BDBM nach Coron. Es ist ein sehr kleines Hotel, das als Familienbetrieb geführt wird. Entsprechend sind nicht allzu viele Dienstleistungen/Frühstück etc. zu erwarten, aber die Besitzerin ist ausgesprochen freundlich und erfüllt alle Wünsche. Zudem zeichnet sich das Hotel durch eine gute Lage aus: Es ist zwar an der Ausfallstraße gelegen, aber man ist zu Fuß in 10 Minuten mitten in der (Alt-)stadt und dem Hafen/Strand von El Nido. Das hat uns gut gefallen, nachdem wir vorher genügend Stranttage in Port Barton und danach ebenso viele Strandtage auf unserer Bootstour hatten.

Wir haben alles so angetroffen, wie wir es erwartet haben. Allerdings sind die Zimmer im 1. Stock - und es gibt keinen Fahrstuhl...

The staff went above and beyond, Hanna and her family were extremely thoughtful and responsive, made us feel well taken care of at all times. It was very clean and really well located, with many options of restaurants and stores in walking distance. We could also work to the port and take our tours there with a 10 min walk. They also offer scooters which was super convenient.

The bathroom didn’t have a curtain and it got dirty really quickly because of that.

Personeel was super aardig en hielden rekening met dieetvoorkeuren voor ontbijt. Alles was schoon en zag er mooi uit

Really really really nice family ! The owner is a lovely woman who is smiley and really helpful. You can rent directly scooter with her and ask her for advices. The hotel is really close to the center. Everything is around.

Al Kataluma in, sinceramente, ci siamo sentite a casa! Ci é piaciuto, della struttura, in primis la gentilezza infinta del personale, sempre disposto ad accogliere ogni richiesta con un sorriso! Abbiamo apprezzato la stanza, piccola ma comoda, con un materasso e cuscini che ci hanno assicurato un buon risposo. Plus anche l’acqua calda sempre disponibile in bagno. Abbiamo anche adorato la colazione: semplice e varia ogni giorno, con un accostamento di salato e dolce in ogni composizione, servita su un carinissimo balconcino. Ottima anche la posizione: in pochi minuti si arriva al centro o all spiaggia!

We had an amazing stay! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the lovely Ms. Hanna who made us feel so welcome. We came in early and they kindly allowed us to leave our bags, then happily brought them up to our room once it was time for check-in while we were out on tour — such thoughtful service! Breakfast was superb, and the view made it even better. Truly a pleasant surprise to wake up to. They also helped us get around town by arranging a scooter for us. Their units are new, well-maintained, and even the helmets were in great condition. Super convenient! Another thing we loved — despite what the distance says on Booking, it’s actually just a quick and easy walk to town. Very manageable and convenient. What we appreciated most was how they went the extra mile — they even arranged a van for our trip to Puerto Princesa. We got VIP service and were able to choose the best seats. Overall, they exceeded our expectations. Warm hospitality, excellent service, and convenience all in one place. Highly recommended! 🌟

Our stay at this hotel was truly special. The rooms were exceptionally clean, which is something we value a lot. From the moment we arrived, everything was explained clearly, and they even arranged a scooter for us at a fair price. Breakfast was another highlight – every day something different, from pancakes to eggs and toast, and always delicious. But what truly stayed with us was the kindness and warmth of the staff. We met some of the most helpful and genuine people here. They were always present, always ready to help – it felt more like staying with family than in a hotel. When my girlfriend fell ill, they went above and beyond to assist us. They helped arrange a visit to the hospital, and one of the staff members even came with us to explain everything and make the process easier. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone – you’ll be in very good hands.

- the window in the bathroom has a direct view on the neighbours building, I had to take showers with my swimsuit and didn't feel comfortable using the toilet because the neighbours could see everything in the bathroom. - my second and last breakfast was not pancakes but two slices of toasted bread with jam, it was less nice than the fluffy pancakes I had before - the WiFi was not working inside the bedroom, even my e-sim was not working, I had to go on the hallway. - no soap to wash my hands

Great location. A 5 min walk to the beach, bars and restaurants. Room lovely and clean, great AC. We arrived super early and they allowed us to leave our bags in a safe place until our room was ready.

Maybe more than a thin sheet for the bed. That’s just more of a personal preference of comfort though.

They cleaned only before arrival, then there was no cleaning. Very noisy from the road and from the common corridor in the hotel. The toilet is damp, it is inconvenient. Very small room.

Nice and functionally furnished hotel about 15 minutes walk from the beach. We enjoyed our stay very much and the price-performance ratio was good. The owners were very helpful and friendly. They also made breakfast every morning, which we really enjoyed.

We had a comfortable stay in Kataluma Inn. The room was basic but clean and looks exactly as in the photos. The accommodation is newly built so everything is still fresh. The bed has the right firmness for a good night sleep. The bathroom is small but functional with hot shower. Airconditioning is quiet and works well and the temperature in the room can be nicely controlled. Breakfast is ample. During our stay, we had the Filipino breakfast, with rice, an egg, a viand and fruit with coffee or tea. The family who owns the inn is very kind, helpful and very accommodating to their guests. Overall, we had a great stay in Kataluma.

Extremely small bathroom, no shampoo (!), no tv, no breakfast, bad WiFi, broken toilet flush, and NO DRINKING WATER provided which should be present in a room as a minimum, we think!! This stay was wayy overpriced.
