The family who welcomed us was incredibly kind and showed us around. We even took part in an English class during our stay. We definitely left with unforgettable memories and met some amazing people!
It was a wonderful experience all in all. Soaked in nature. The people everywhere in this village are kind.
The location is really nice with very cozy bungalows and super comfortable beds. But what truly makes this place special are the hosts, Hari and Mr. Jay. They’re funny, welcoming, and always make sure you’re having the best time. I can’t recommend their Tetebatu tours enough. You get to see so much from the monkey forest near the homestay to the local rice fields, waterfalls, bamboo and sarong villages, coffee roasting, brown sugar making... They genuinely love sharing their Sasak culture and history and showing just how rich the Tetebatu region is. And beyond that, their whole family is just wonderful. I felt so welcome, playing cards in the evening, sharing meals, and learning Sasak from the kids. It was without a doubt the best part of my trip to Lombok. I loved it so much that I ended up extending my stay. If you’re in Lombok and want to experience nature, local life, and great company, this is the place to stay.

Beautiful home stay, immaculately kept. Family so accommodating and were there for us all the time for meals/ advice etc
Nothing
Hari and the team were so friendly, a must stop in Tetebatu! - from Jonah and Sam
The stay was outstanding overall. The host Hari is incredibly hospitable and takes loving care of every detail – you immediately feel welcome. From the first inquiry to check-out we felt well looked after. The accommodation was clean, and cozy so you immediately feel at home. What stands out especially is the host’s willingness to take care of everything you ask for. The tour through Tetebatu (Waterfalls, Rice fields etc) was a lot of fun and a great highlight of the stay. The organization was smooth, and you can tell the host really puts in effort to create great experiences for guests. Overall, a clear recommendation – we would book again anytime. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
Our stay at the Coffee Homestay was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, Hari made us feel incredibly welcome. He is a fantastic host, very kind and attentive, and he speaks excellent English, which made it easy and fun to have great conversations with him about all kinds of topics. Hari also went out of his way to make our experience special by guiding us on a tour through the Monkey Forest as well as the beautiful rice fields and waterfalls nearby. His knowledge of the area and willingness to share stories really added something extra to our trip. The bungalows themselves were spotless, spacious and equipped with all amenities making them a very comfortable place to stay. Unfortunately, we could only stay for one night, but we truly wished we had booked more time there. It’s definitely a place you want to stay for longer since there is tons to do and see. We would really recommend Coffee Homestay to anyone visiting the area. And one more tip: as others have mentioned, Hari is a very good Uno player, so be ready for a challenge if you sit down for a game with him!
Tutto perfetto
All the people, we felt like family and were well looked after. The food, the culture, the community and the hospitality! We had an amazing stay and wish we could have stayed for longer. Hari was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. Could not recommend this place enough! Lots to do- rice fields were amazing! Hari is a great tour guide. Thank you everyone for having us 😊 stef & Gabi.
Nothing !
When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Hari and his family. He explained in detail what we could do in Tetebatu and even lent us his scooter to explore the area. I would definitely recommend this place, as it offers everything you could wish for a homestay.
Hari and the whole family could not have been more welcoming and helpful. I loved everything about our stay.
I was very happy with everything
we really liked the homestay, the surroundings we're really beautiful and the family was really really welcoming and kind. the owner hari speaks really good english. the food was delicious and everything was clean.
we booked a tour with hari and sadly we were a little bit disappointed. we told him we only had 3 hours instead of 6 and our priority are ricefields. on the tour it seemed like he wanted to sqeeze the 6 hours tour into 3 and we rushed through the ricefields and eventhough we said we've already seen one of the waterfalls he still brought us there and made us pay the entrance of 20k each. it wasn't a lot of money, but we wanted to see something else and we thought we communicated that properly. he did not really respond to our wishes. he really knows a lot about the ricefields and the culture but he only gave us some information when we asked for it. so in this case the value for money was not good. - Unfortunately there was no mosquito net over the bed
I had a great time at this homestay. The host, Hari was very helpful and accomodating. He is very knowledgeable about the region, speaks perfect english and also organises local tours:) My room was clean and comfortable.
The water in my shower was very cold during my stay and the wifi connection was pretty slow, but the homestay is situated in the jungle! So it is to be expected
We had an amazing experience in Coffee Homestay. Hari was really welcoming and available for us, great chats, sharing his knowledge and stories, we even got a little concert. It's a really authentic place, in the middle of coffee, cacao, and banana trees. Most important is people around, locals and travellers who are here to discover each other (We learned how to roast coffee). Surroundings are awesome. We can walk from the room to Tetebatu waterfalls through the Black Monkey Forest and rice fields. Just be careful, it's around the mountain and it can be cold during the night. We really loved Tetebatu, we will come back.
Just a little issue with hot water the first night, which has been solved immediately.
This is an absolute gem of a place to stay. Don’t hesitate to book it. Harry and his community are so welcoming and generous. Harry organised scooter hire and a tour of the local waterfalls, spice market and a bamboo weaving enterprise. He even invited us to a local ceremony to celebrate a new building. The rooms are small but well equipped and very clean. If you want somewhere off the beaten track with a real community feel to it then this is a must. Just bring earplugs if you want a lie in!
Just an absolutely amazing place!!! Hari really makes this place - a great host with lovely family and friends. We had a great tour with them & spent the evenings chilling. The bungalows are beautiful and it was the hottest shower id had in 5 months of travelling. Completely recommend!
Nothing
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an amazing stay at Coffee Homestay! The rooms are very clean and new. The bed was great, and the shower had good pressure and hot water. No AC needed, since Tetebatu is higher, so it is cooler. Hari (the owner) and Angi speak perfectly English, and even a bit of Spanish and Dutch! Everyone here is very welcoming, and all the 3 nights we stayed here, we played some cardgames in the evening with multiple members of the family. We did the walking tour with Eman and Jay, which was great! The surroundings are very beautiful. Also one night there was a open English course at Hari’s home, which is there twice a week to support the local community. You can help out if you want to, which we really liked. Thank you so much for your hospitality, we were sad we had to leave so soon already, but next time when we are in Indonesia we will definitely be back. Hati hati!
An incredible and very local place. You'll discover how the locals live in Tetebatu, far from the busy, touristy places. We visited beautiful waterfalls, saw black monkeys and learned about the local culture with people of all ages. We made unforgettable memories, so don't hesitate to go. Many thanks to the whole homestay family, Harry, Anggi, Aguil, Eman, ajyam and all the others 🫶
If you’re reading this comment section because you’re hesitating for this accomodation, stop everything and book it right now !!!!! If you regret later 0032470311831 here is my phone number, just text me and tell me I’m a liar. I’m serious, the homestay is amazing, so cute, you take your breakfast on your terrace. But all the point is the amazing staff, you’ll mert Hari and his community. They take care of you, you spend time with them, talking, sharing expérience, playing cards and so more. I suggest you to do the guided tour of the village with him, si interresting to meet people over there.
The owner is very kind, a community leader for his village! He speaks very good English and is very welcoming. A beautiful homestay in nature with a traditional style of living and it prioritises eco conservation and taking care of the community. Please visit if you care about sustainable tourism!🥰🫶
Hari was the perfect host. I was only able to stay for 1 night but wish I could have extended. The food was absolutely incredible and I had such a lovely experience talking with him and the locals in his village.
Friendliness, hospitality, and beautiful panorama surrounding forest periphery

At the end of the world...a comfortable, luxurious, amazing place. Thank you for your warm welcome into your community... special thanks Ari and Nass
you must rent a scooter (ask them)... nothing around
Small site run by a family. They were very warm & welcoming. We visited out of season during Ramadan. And as very few restaurants were open, the family invited us to share a meal with them, which was very thoughtful.
No A/C, but as we were in an elevated position, it was actually quite cool at night.
Its a very authentic place in the middle of the community of tetebatu, right now they offer 2 cabins with private bathroom, it is exceptionally clean and also equipped with towels and water bottles. Hari will take care of you and show you his village if you ask him to, he is a great host and will make sure you have a nice stay. His friends and family are also very warm and welcoming and you can sit anytime with them, especially for dinner, which is locally harvested and processed food from great taste and quality. It is quite far up the hill, but the road is still in good condition, except the last few meters. If you want to stay in tetebatu, you should go here, because you can really experience the true culture of the sasak people here. Thank you a lot for having me.
Amazing : The comfort, the beauty of the place and the village, the generosity of the hosts, the visit to Tetebatu and the village with Hari, the generous and delicious breakfast and lunch... we also share wonderful moments with the family.. if I could put 100/10, it would be worth it. The best stay I've ever had.
