Very clean and quiet

We had an amazing stay at Magnolia Inn. Craig and Laurie have done a beautiful job with preserving the charm of the house, the thought and care shows. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the decor was lovely. Thanks again to Sam as well for welcoming us and sharing some travel advice for the surrounding areas.

This place is absolutely beautiful. Sam the innkeeper welcomed us and was so friendly and helpful. The rooms are lovely. The inn is immaculate. The owners were gracious.

This is a place to truly get away from daily routine! I didn’t want to leave! Mahone Bay’s best kept secret!

It was a beautiful garden suite! The central location was perfect. The little shop across the street with items from local artists was a nice find. We had dinner at the pub down the street. A lovely two nights in Mahone Bay!

Our experience was all around excellent but if I were to give one recommendation it would be to provide noise abatement from the bottom of the door to the floor. It didn’t affect us or anyone else to my knowledge but I can certainly see it being an issue for some. Thank you and good luck with the upcoming season.

Lovely place to stay So close to walk to restaurants and shops

Amazing …the Magnolia Inn in Mahone Bay was very clean and well equipt with everything you need for your stay … the kitchenette was an added bonus …and our room came with a great outdoor seating area… I highly recommend and will def be staying again

This is a unique heritage property that is in wonderful shape, rooms are spacious and clean and have great amenities. The breakfast was terrific; the owners are fabulous . Can't give this a higher rating. Thank you!

Peaceful and perfect!

This restored Victorian house is just beautiful. Plenty of room to spread out and relax. The hosts are quick to respond and lovely to chat with. Laurie prepared a delicious breakfast for us during our stay and had many interesting stories to share about the house and the area. I highly recommend staying here!

WOW! Such a beautiful house and guest room - I stayed in a bigger room (#1) which had a living room, a gas fireplace as well as a kitchen! I didn't realize I was getting all of that. There was an outdoor space with a grill as well! I will be back!!! Quality linens and towels! Lovely Host! Offered AMAZING dining options. Mahone Bay is a gem and so is the Magnolia Inn!

Nice place but hard to find due to lack of outdoor sign or even address number. Room had private bathroom but accessible only through public hallway, which was a bit strange in the middle of the night.

Great location for doing the things we wanting to do in that area

The room and the property inside are immaculate, super clean and magnificent. Customer service provided are over the top.

This prooerty is extremely well maintained. Actually gorgeous inside. The breakfast was amazing as well as the owners. The floors are refinished and beautiful. Owners ask you to remove your shoes and wear the provided knitted foot coverings to protect their property they have worked so very hard to restore. I would definitely stay here again. This is definitely an amazing restosted builing. Hats off to the wonderful owners. Thank you for letting us stay and admire your craftmanship.

Picturesque & convenient walking options

Owners were extremely friendly. Recently renovated historic house had character and was well decorated. Breakfast was excellent. Modern amenities in a beautiful vintage house. Great location to walk to local shops and restaurants. Absolutely we would stay again and recommend anyone to stay here.

A lovely older home that has been restored and renovated into a very lovely inn. Very nice host and hostess. A nice light breakfast was also included. We enjoyed our stay here!

Beautiful inside accomodations

I recently stayed at the Magnolia Inn and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The renovations they’ve made to this historic house are stunning, blending modern comfort with its charming heritage. The rooms were immaculate, and the attention to cleanliness was top-notch, making the stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was another highlight. It was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, it provided the perfect start to the day. I’m already planning to stay there again on my next visi to Nova Scotia. If you’re looking for a place that offers both history and comfort, Magnolia Inn is an excellent choice.

I received a message from the owner at 10:30 at night saying there was a lot of noise going on in our room. I had previously been talking to my daughter in face time and sh said she could hear my voice in the kitchen downstairs. Her message to me was harsh and uncalled for. If they do not allow talking in your room then they should put it on their website. A shared bathroom, no Tv, no air conditioning, there was one in the closet but not hooked up. Taking your shoes off every time you went into the house was ridiculous. They had a white carpet on the stairs going up to your room. From what I could see, all the rooms on our floor had ac and a tv This lady Laurie, whom we never met, never even replied to my message back to her WILL NOT RECOMMEND MAGNOLIA B&B

I am glad that we chose to stay in Mahone Bay instead of Lunenburg, our initial plan.This property is one of the most beautiful we ever stayed. We booked deluxe studio suite; it was like a home away from home. The hosts were very welcoming and share suggestions regarding restaurants, cafe, local shopping. The breakfast was like everything else, excellent. I highly recommend this property. Mahone Bay is worth stopping by.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful period home and the hosts were lovely and hospitable. Great location for exploring the area and peaceful and quiet. Lovely breakfasts both mornings.

Really enjoyed the quiet privacy of the suite. Craig & Laurie were very accommodating including welcoming guests as they arrived and providing a lighter for the candle in our suite. Fabulous decor and ambiance. Great attention to detail and consideration for all amenities provided for all guests. Fragrant hand soap, shower gel, shampoo & conditioner were provided. Loved the organization of remotes for the fans, air conditioner etc. labelling for lights also very helpful. We would definitely recommend as a fabulous place to stay.

Craig & Laurie made our two day stay so wonderful. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

I had a fantastic experience at the Magnolia Inn. The problem with this review is that there are only five stars to choose from! The breakfast was delicious, fresh and the perfect amount. The best croissant I have ever had. The owners are very personable, respectful and helpful. The Magnolia Inn is now on my list to bring my family and visit the next time we are in NS. Amazing!

The room we stayed in had everything we needed from wine glasses, a cork screw, bath robes and a mini fridge. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge. They did an incredible job designing each room. The shower was our favourite part. The breakfast was delightful. The first morning we had coffee, juice and a bagel with cream cheese and salmon. They also had a choice of jams if you preferred. The second morning they had individual quiches, buttery croissants fresh from the oven, in addition to a delicious yogurt parfait.

Excellent Air BnB. Clean, bed was comfortable, had everything you needed. Great continental breakfast! Host and hostess were easily accessible and attentive! We would have liked a private bathroom. Only other thing is that house requires a sign and house number to make it a little easier to find. Otherwise, an up and coming Inn!

This is such a beautiful property. It has been lovingly renovated and beautifully decorated by the owners. Our room was a very large bedroom with a modern ensuite. Comfortable bed, great pillow and comfy duvet made for a great sleep. Laurie and Craig are wonderful hosts and make a delicious breakfast. They’re very friendly and ready to offer assistance as needed. If you are in the Lunenberg area and are looking for a wonderful B&B this is first class accommodation.

Property was absolutely beautiful ! The owners were very friendly and kind and very accommodating. Our king room was fabulous and the property was close to everything in the beautiful Mahone Bay! Will definitely be back!

The hosts were amazing! The Inn was clean and the room was incredible. Ensuite was huge with rain shower and nice amenities. The King bed was very comfortable and nice to have small fridge in room. Breakfast was delicious.

Very convenient, you do have to drag your bags up the stairs, the stairs did had a rug so you won't slip. One room, as of Aug 2024 is a shared bathroom with another guest, so be aware. I did not share because all rooms were not taken, Craig says they will be putting in another bathroom late 2024. Very accommodating for vegan breakfast, very forth coming on what to see and do, like the Historical Gardens in Annapolis Royal which was an amazing walk about. Ask Craig anything they have done it all.

This inn has been meticulously renovated and restored. It exceeded our expectations, the room and ensuite were spotless, large, very comfortable and so well decorated. The owners are very good hosts and made our stay extra special. Will definitely return to the Magnolia Inn in beautiful Mahone Bay.

Great place to stay right on the Main Street in Mahone Bay. Nicely decorated and very clean. Hosts were readily available and responsive. We stayed in a main level unit below upper accommodations. You could hear the people upstairs rolling their suitcases etc. but that was a very minimal concern and didn’t hamper our enjoyment of the space.

The room was so perfect! The owner was really nice and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.
