How clean the room was, everything was neat and tidy.

Location great if heading to airport 40mins away)or overnight trip to Auckland. Easy access to and from motorway. Great cafe/ bar next door for meals. We had a late flight in so key was left in safe for pick up as it was a cold evening we appreciated the heating being put on for us.

Fan in bathroom stays on for long time so avoid putting on in middle of night 😀

What a great motel. This place has a lot of history and has also gone through a big revamp by the looks of things. The motel is so good. The breakfast and dinners were very good, and the location was perfect for me

Very friendly welcome to this little motel in Mercer. We had driven from Bay of Islands, and this was a convenient south of Auckland. Great Gastro Pub attached to motel, not cheap but very tasty food. Room small, but clean & well appointed.

Conveniently close to highway… I feared a little too close! But traffic quieted down early, and actually didn’t disturb us. Visually, not an appealing building, but once in the room all good.

Quaint room with plenty of space and tea/coffee making facilities, also a toaster. Although a fixed shower rose there was great water pressure.

Clean and tidy

Spacious one bedroom apartment, clean, comfortable, a restaurant and bar just around the corner.

Missed dishes and cutlery in the kitchen. Sitting right on the highway, though for some it could be an advantage. The apartment was on the first floor; the stairway was narrow.

It didn’t feel clean, crockery and cutlery were dirty (had chunky bits on them) I don’t know if the sheets were fresh, the linen was all crinkled like it had only been remade not changed to fresh linen. I in the afternoon or evening when we returned the bathroom was full of crickets? There was window for them to get in…so 🤢

I really liked how accomadating the owner was We booked late, and the office was closed, but she still managed to get us in our room. This is an amazing family owned business, so friendly. My partner is a truck driver, so it was perfect for what we needed, so appreciated

Great stopover just outside of Auckland. Restaurant wasn't open for dinner the night we stayed but pub only 200m away was perfect for a cold beer and some dinner. Room was surprisingly quiet when you closed the door, given the location next to the motorway. Well equipped for a short stay.

Reception was closed on arrival and had to call for check in details, but was a fairly simple process (just not as per notes on the booking.com website)

Great little place, was perfect for what I needed. Tv didn't work but staff quickly sorted it. Very quite considering it's next to the motorway. Very clean and well priced. Ill definitely stay again

Cleanliness and close to the motorway

Everything was good

The motel is convenient and has a great restaurant next door, as well as biltong and cheese shops. They provide a good number of towels and the kitchen is well equipped. Check in was at the restaurant and the staff there are friendly and welcoming.

The shower drain was very smelly, and the toilet was not clean. I had to scrub inside the bowl when I arrived, with a toilet brush that was old and dirty. I stay here frequently and the rooms are usually clean, but they always have a damp smell, and the shower drains are often smelly.

Easy quite,good location for where I wanted to be.

Was a bit stale smelling maybe aircon needing service and cleaned, the draws needed to be wiped clean, put our clothes in them they came out with dust so had to wash them again.

The location makes it a little noisy but we didn’t notice it too much.

The unit smelt very moldy and when we used the shower there was a very bad sewerage smell.
